The rooms was clean and comfortable, with no lingering smoke smell. Water pressure was good. Location is convenient for train and airport passengers. Its about a 20 minute walk to the train station or a short taxi ride. The metro stop to the airport is about a 15 minute walk away. The hotel is also quite close to the Inner Mongolia Museum. However it is quite far from other tourist sites like Dazhao Temple and Saishang old street.
Breakfast was a typical chinese buffet with enough vegan options to keep me happy.
There's a gym consisting of some bikes, a few treadmills, one chest press machine, and a basket of cheap plastic dumbells. Overall I'd happily stay here again."

"Great stay at this property in Hothot (better than the other branded 5-star hotel I stayed in Hothot near MixC). Seamless check-in process, within one-odd kilometers from Wanda Plaza, and also within 10-15 minutes from Inner Mongolia Museum and Hothot East Railway Station. Very spacious room filled with all the required amenities, extra bottles of water at the same floor lift lobby, gym and free laundry room with laundry bags, detergent, lint remover all included as well. Great selection of food and beverages at the breakfast buffet. Decent family-friendly restaurant named ”Xibei” and wellness spa right at the same building. Especially suitable for families with young kids, with the amazing kids' theme and toys."

"A hard hotel to review. It looks amazing from the outside and inside, though this leads to very obvious problem that there is no proper lobby just a large space in which flocks of tourists roam taking endless photos. The room we had was large and very impressively kitted out with the Russian doll motif everywhere. The hotel is not in the town centre, instead it is next to a theme park, though we never heard any noise from there in our room. I tend to judge hotels on breakfast and I have to say that it was not a particularly pleasant experience - the food was not at the level I would expect and on two mornings the breakfast room was just far too busy."

The worst was at their buffet dinner which I would advise you join only if you’re a middle age man who wants to drink and smoke. Seems to cater primarily to business, not families. Don’t know why they bother with family style rooms. The room was quite nice apart from the sofa bed which kept collapsing and the very poor AC which made sLocation is good. Nice parks nearby."

"As expected from Wanda, the hotel was great!
However, we didn't have a good experience at the receptionist. The staff was talking about us in Mandarin thinking that we do not understand Mandarin. She even help their own local to check-in while she is still holding on to our passports and doing the administrative work, which we feel that it was rather unprofessional. She was already processing our IDs and then she went to assist another person to check-in and then complete our check-in process. This has resulted us to check-in rather late. She was sighing throughout the whole process. This service is definitely not what we expected from Wanda. After giving us our rooms, the worst thing is there is only ONE bed when we travel up to check in. We have to come back all the way down for the same lady to change our rooms once again.
Breakfast buffet, i think it could be better! There are quite a number of local food which is rather tasty. It wasnt something i will go a second time.
Location was quite far from the main attractions."

"This resort feels like an oasis in the middle of the desert. Beautiful, spacious, impeccably clean, and every bit deserving of its 5-star reputation.
Our room was comfortable, spotless, and thankfully free from any cigarette smell. The laundry room was another pleasant surprise, equipped with new and well-maintained washers and dryers, with detergent provided for guests' convenience.
All meals are included and served in the dining hall, making the stay truly hassle-free. The food was consistently good, with hotpot available for dinner. Drinks, snacks, and refreshments were also available throughout the day. It would be difficult to leave this place without gaining a little weight! 😜
Given the size of the resort, guests may occasionally need to use the resort's transportation to get around. Fortunately, the waiting time was minimal, and we were able to travel between locations quickly and efficiently.
One minor drawback of the resort's impressive size is the walking distance to some rooms. The accommodation blocks are built in a circular layout, and our room happened to be located on the opposite side from the escalator landing. This meant walking past nearly 50 rooms every time we returned to our room. While this could be inconvenient, we did notice that the rooms closer to the escalator often had a noticeable cigarette smell in the corridor. By contrast, our section at the far end was completely free of smoke odours, which made the extra walk worthwhile. Whether these were designated non-smoking rooms, I'm not entirely sure.
What truly sets this resort apart is the range of activities and entertainment on offer. Guests can enjoy camel rides, ATV adventures, flying fox rides, guided stargazing walks, and nightly concerts and performances complete with spectacular fireworks displays. 🌌🐪🏍️🎆
For those looking for a Club Med-style, all-inclusive holiday with a unique desert setting, I would highly recommend this resort. It offers a memorable experience that combines comfort, adventure, entertainment, and excellent food in one remarkable destination."

Guest UserThis stay was fantastic! The hotel's location is super convenient, and the room was spotlessly clean with a simple yet elegant design. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, was clean, and free of any odors. The indoor lighting was also very comfortable. The staff were all gentle, polite, and quick to respond. The overall atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, perfect for unwinding after a long journey. It offers great value for money and I highly recommend it!

Yesterday I was drunk and went to the hotel opposite my work to get an hourly room to rest. The purpose of rest was to work better. After sleeping all morning, I was resurrected with full blood in the afternoon and could work hard again.
Overall the hotel is quite quiet and the facilities are relatively old, but the advantage is that it is close to the company, just opposite the unit.

The food at the hotel was excellent, and there were so many activities to enjoy. The VIP queue experience was also great. From a value-for-money perspective, even though it was expensive, I felt it was totally worth it. However, there were a few minor shortcomings:
1. A very small number of staff members tried to shirk responsibility. When we first returned to the hotel from Xiangshawan, the waiting area was completely empty. A drowsy older gentleman told us to just get on the next jeep that arrived. As soon as the jeep pulled up, about a dozen people appeared, led by a female staff member. She immediately started bossing us around, saying it was for *them* and that we should go queue up. I was quite annoyed and said that when we arrived, there was no one here, and now that *they* have arrived, we're suddenly told to queue up, meaning we'd be stuck behind these dozen-plus people and God knows how long we'd have to wait. Seeing my strong tone, this female staff member simply said, ”I don't know,” shrunk her neck, and stayed silent. She made no effort to help us or manage the other group, acting as if we should just sort it out ourselves. Fortunately, another vehicle arrived quickly, and the driver was excellent, immediately saying there was space for everyone and that there were plenty of cars. If it weren't for the good driver, and me being tired, I would have definitely noted down the employee number of that staff member who was so aggressive at first but then immediately cowered and dodged responsibility when faced with someone assertive.
2. The wait time for the small train shuttle to and from the room was very long. I suggest informing guests how long the wait will be. The first time we left, it arrived in about 2 minutes, so I assumed it would always be quick. The second time, I waited for ten minutes and it still hadn't arrived. Only after calling again was I told it would be another five minutes. I recommend informing guests of the expected wait time during the initial booking to help them decide whether to continue waiting. Furthermore, the so-called QR code reservation system was not user-friendly at all. You couldn't note the number of people, it didn't show how many people were ahead of you, and I didn't see any time advantage. I specifically took a photo of the QR code and made a reservation while I was in the lobby, but when I went upstairs, I was still behind people who only reported their room numbers to the staff *after* arriving upstairs.
Overall, the positives far outweigh the negatives, and I definitely plan to come back in the summer.

The hotel’s location was very convenient — it’s right next to some of Hohhot’s major hospitals, which made getting around quite easy. The room was clean, and although there was no central heating, the air conditioner provided enough warmth.
Our room faced the main road, so it was a bit noisy at times. Also, there was no mini-bar/fridge in the room, which was a bit inconvenient. Communication with the staff was slightly challenging since they don’t speak English, but we managed.
Overall, it was a decent stay with good cleanliness and a convenient location.

I had a pleasant stay at this place. The rooms and facilities were very clean, and the manager was exceptionally kind and welcoming. The service was also friendly and attentive. Although the breakfast selection was somewhat limited, the food was tasty and enjoyable. Another thing I appreciated was that the hotel was not overcrowded, which made the atmosphere quiet and relaxing. Overall, I had a very good experience and would be happy to stay here again.

I had a great stay here during my trip to Hohhot. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The location was very convenient, with the metro, restaurants, and shopping areas all within easy walking distance.
The staff were friendly, and the check-in process was smooth. The only downside was that my room didn’t have much of a view. However, I went up to the 30th floor and got to enjoy an amazing panoramic view of the entire city, which more than made up for it.
Overall, this hotel offered great value for the price, and I would definitely stay here again if I visit Hohhot in the future.

Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied; the lamb shaomai was particularly authentic, and the lamb offal soup was absolutely delicious – highly recommend both! What truly stood out was the genuine and professional service team. From the warm milk the housekeeping auntie discreetly replenished daily to the help with planning my travel itinerary, every little detail exuded a heartwarming, 'home-like' feeling. Upon check-out, the front desk even gave me a souvenir gift, a thoughtful gesture that instantly melted away any travel fatigue.
Xin Cheng Hotel isn't just a place to rest; it's a living cultural museum. It tells stories through its architecture, conveys local charm through its cuisine, and embodies warmth through its service. It allows every guest to experience the vastness and gentleness of Hohhot amidst the hustle and bustle.
I will definitely be back again. Highly recommended!

Environment: The room was quite spacious with wooden floors and a tea table, and the tea cabinet was very convenient. It was a good choice for staying with parents.
Facilities: I suggest putting up signs for the shower and sink stoppers. I had to ask the front desk to figure out how to use them. The trash can was too small; during peak season, with lots of purchases, there's also a lot of trash. The room lights weren't labeled, which was inconvenient – I had to try them all to see what they controlled. I really didn't expect water scarcity at night during peak season. A hotel in a tourist city without running water, relying on a water tank refill?!
Service: The daytime housekeeping staff were very good and patiently answered questions. The front office service was also good, but they were reluctant to tell us how long the water refill would take when the water stopped at night. I don't quite understand why; if they had just been honest and said it would take about half an hour, guests would understand. Waiting without information is definitely not a good experience. The hotel didn't offer welcome fruit. For breakfast, there was no bread or coffee, but the 'shaomai' (steamed dumplings) and lamb offal soup were delicious. I couldn't get used to the 'min dou mian' (mung bean noodles); it wasn't chewy and seemed to be made from potatoes.
Hygiene: No issues.
Overall, the value for money was decent, especially being close to attractions, but the details still need improvement.
