The rooms was clean and comfortable, with no lingering smoke smell. Water pressure was good. Location is convenient for train and airport passengers. Its about a 20 minute walk to the train station or a short taxi ride. The metro stop to the airport is about a 15 minute walk away. The hotel is also quite close to the Inner Mongolia Museum. However it is quite far from other tourist sites like Dazhao Temple and Saishang old street.
Breakfast was a typical chinese buffet with enough vegan options to keep me happy.
There's a gym consisting of some bikes, a few treadmills, one chest press machine, and a basket of cheap plastic dumbells. Overall I'd happily stay here again."

"We stayed here to enjoy the unobstructed view of the volcano and to experience the space-themed rooms. Visiting during the low season at the end of March, we didn't expect to be the only guests, but despite that, we received exceptional treatment. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was beautifully prepared, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating.
The night views were absolutely spectacular and truly made our trip memorable. Although the location is about 1.5 hours from town, we were glad we chose this place for its unique charm and stunning scenery. We would wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow travelers visiting the area.
Additionally, there's a large spa / hot springs just a few meters away to relax and make the stay extra special! Again, would highly recommend."

"Great stay at this property in Hothot (better than the other branded 5-star hotel I stayed in Hothot near MixC). Seamless check-in process, within one-odd kilometers from Wanda Plaza, and also within 10-15 minutes from Inner Mongolia Museum and Hothot East Railway Station. Very spacious room filled with all the required amenities, extra bottles of water at the same floor lift lobby, gym and free laundry room with laundry bags, detergent, lint remover all included as well. Great selection of food and beverages at the breakfast buffet. Decent family-friendly restaurant named ”Xibei” and wellness spa right at the same building. Especially suitable for families with young kids, with the amazing kids' theme and toys."

Nice entrance and lobby befitting of a 5-star Shangrila property, with a free Mongolian photo corner with costumes. However, the check-in staff didn't seem too familiar with her work - I booked 2 suites of inter-connecting rooms (total of 4 rooms) for my party of 10, but she almost completed the check-in process and gave us just 2 connecting rooms (1 king bed & 2 single beds in total). How is that logically possible, and why would the hotel have allowed that kind of booking? Rectified her mistake, after she took quite awhile to process her thoughts and come to realisation, of course without any form of acknowledgement for her oversight or apology. Rooms are pretty dated with just a small 32 or 37inch TV, and probably not worth the price for this stay."

The worst was at their buffet dinner which I would advise you join only if you’re a middle age man who wants to drink and smoke. Seems to cater primarily to business, not families. Don’t know why they bother with family style rooms. The room was quite nice apart from the sofa bed which kept collapsing and the very poor AC which made sLocation is good. Nice parks nearby."

"I stayed at this hotel near the airport, which has a good location, decent food, and a pleasant environment. However, this time the service was really poor.
This month, I stayed here 5 times for work, but I only received proper front desk service on 2 occasions. The other times, there was no one at the reception to greet or assist me. When I extended my stay, the room cleaning was done poorly/incompletely. They also often failed to restock the minibar.
Additionally, there was rarely an English-speaking staff member at the reception. The staff would speak to me in Chinese even when I approached them, which felt quite rude. This made it very difficult to order food to the room.
Because of these issues, I have decided not to stay here again."

"I was initially in a dilemma about whether to stay here or not, but looking back, it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my trip!
After carefully planning the journey, getting there was actually quite straightforward. For those coming from Hohhot, here's the route I took:
1. Take a train from Hohhot to Dalate West Station.
2. Take a Didi from Dalate West Station to Huailian Tourism Resort Reception Center (about 40 minutes, around CNY50).
3. Purchase rm176 of the Whistling Dune Bay package ticket, which includes admission, cable car, Yuesha Island access, and a camel ride.
4. Resort guests have access to a special lane for the cable car, which takes about 8 minutes.
5. Upon arrival, take the resort jeep transfer to the accommodation area.
6. Enjoy activities such as sand sliding, swimming in the pool, stargazing, and simply experiencing the peaceful desert atmosphere at night.
7. After checkout, take the jeep transfer to the mini desert train, followed by the duck car ride, before returning via cable car.
8. It can be difficult to get a Didi from the resort reception area, but the staff kindly helped arrange a taxi back to Dalate West Station for around CNY50.
9. Continue the journey from Dalate West Station to Ordos.
What impressed me most was the hospitality. From the WeChat communication before arrival to the reception team and resort staff, everyone was incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming.
The night experience was truly spectacular. The desert becomes so peaceful after sunset — all you can hear is the sound of the sand, while above you is a sky filled with countless stars and a beautiful moon. It was one of the most memorable moments of my trip.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique desert stay and unforgettable experience!"

Guest UserWe had a wonderful family stay at Hupeng Muge Resort in Inner Mongolia. We stayed in a ground-floor yurt with a big, comfortable bed, which was perfect for our family and made the stay feel both cozy and special.
The kids especially loved the experience of staying in a yurt and being surrounded by the beautiful grassland scenery. One of their favorite memories, though, was meeting the adorable kittens in the restaurant! They were absolutely delighted and kept wanting to visit the restaurant just to see them again.
Overall, it was a lovely family experience and a great opportunity to enjoy Inner Mongolia in a more relaxed and memorable way. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the comfortable accommodation, and the little moments that made the trip special for the whole family.

We stayed for three nights in total, and the overall experience was great. For the first two nights, since the standard rooms were fully booked, we opted for a queen room. On the third day, the hotel upgraded us to a family room, which was much bigger and our child absolutely loved it. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly patient with both check-ins and answering our questions. The cleanliness was impressive; we felt very comfortable staying there. Breakfast was also good, with a variety of vegetables and fruits, plus freshly cooked noodles, so there was plenty of choice. The location is very convenient, with many dining options nearby. Chain restaurants serving shaomai and Mongolian cuisine are just a few minutes' walk away, and it's also very easy to get a taxi to various attractions. Excellent value for money!

Yesterday I was drunk and went to the hotel opposite my work to get an hourly room to rest. The purpose of rest was to work better. After sleeping all morning, I was resurrected with full blood in the afternoon and could work hard again.
Overall the hotel is quite quiet and the facilities are relatively old, but the advantage is that it is close to the company, just opposite the unit.

SiyueqingchengExtremely satisfied! Although the price was a bit high, it was definitely worth it.
First, a special thanks to the short-haired female supervisor at the front desk. She was incredibly warm, patient, and thorough, answering every question we had. My daughter carelessly lost a jacket, and she actively helped us communicate and search for it, and it was eventually found (girls love beauty, and her favorite cosmetics were inside). Other hotel staff were also very welcoming; every staff member we encountered during our stay was able to answer our questions and seriously respond to all our inquiries.
Second, from the moment we entered the resort's reception center, there was always a dedicated hotel staff member guiding us. The most convenient aspect was that, apart from occasional self-funded activities, almost everything else had a dedicated guest channel. When you see the long queues of tourists at the actual sites, you'll realize how friendly and necessary this service is. It saves you a lot of time to enjoy other activities.
Then there's the dining. All three meals were included, and they weren't just some perfunctory, unknown drinks. The main dishes were also very diverse and abundant.
After a day of fun, you could return to the hotel and relax at the bar, enjoying free-flow drinks with a live musician.
Finally, the room wasn't huge, but it was compact and tidy. I had also looked up other hotels in the area at the time, and this one felt excellent. The evening party and fireworks on the island created an amazing atmosphere. Due to the weather, we couldn't experience stargazing in the desert or the sunrise over the sand dunes, or the desert hiking with sound, which was a slight regret.
If our later itinerary hadn't already been fully booked, we definitely would have stayed at this hotel for another two or three days. On the first day, we played at Xiansha Island, and on the second day, Yuansha Island.
In a word: Worth every penny. If your budget allows, I highly recommend this hotel.

I had a pleasant stay at this place. The rooms and facilities were very clean, and the manager was exceptionally kind and welcoming. The service was also friendly and attentive. Although the breakfast selection was somewhat limited, the food was tasty and enjoyable. Another thing I appreciated was that the hotel was not overcrowded, which made the atmosphere quiet and relaxing. Overall, I had a very good experience and would be happy to stay here again.

Guest UserOverall, my stay was average, with the room experience being a definite highlight, but the check-in process significantly impacted the overall impression. It was a stay with very clear pros and cons.
First, let's talk about the room's strengths, which was the most satisfying part of this stay. The room was incredibly spacious, with no cramped or stuffy feeling. Whether traveling alone or with companions, there was more than enough room to move around. The overall cleanliness of the room was excellent; the floors, tables, bedding, and bathroom areas were all spotless, with no stains, dust, or strange odors. Attention to detail was evident. The indoor lighting and ventilation were great; the windows were clear, providing ample natural light during the day, making the room bright and airy with good air circulation, preventing any stuffiness. Additionally, the mattress and pillows were just right – not too soft, not too firm – and the furniture arrangement was practical. The overall living comfort was good, perfectly meeting the needs for daily rest or a temporary stay. The hardware conditions are quite outstanding for accommodations in this price range.
Upon arrival, I found that there were a lot of guests checking in, and the front desk had a long, dense queue. We waited in the lobby for a very long time, which was a significant drain on time and energy, especially waiting with luggage. This greatly diminished the experience. During peak hours, with many guests, it's easy for people to pile up in queues and experience congested waiting times, which is very unfriendly to travelers who are on a tight schedule and want to check in quickly to rest.
In summary, the hotel's room hardware, hygiene, and living comfort are commendable, making for a very good living experience. However, the excessively long wait during peak check-in times dragged down the overall check-in experience.

Out of the eight hotels we stayed at during our nine-day, eight-night trip to Hulunbuir, this one was the kids' absolute favorite! They loved the yurt rooms and seeing the little lambs and calves. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They proactively added me on WeChat a few days beforehand to send the address, and when we arrived, they immediately helped us with our luggage. The dishes we ordered for dinner at the hotel were also delicious. After dinner, there was a bonfire and a fireworks show. Guests staying at the hotel also get a free ride to Qushui Yuntian for photos – it's less crowded and beautiful in the evening!

However, my stay wasn't as comfortable as I'd hoped. First, my room was quite a trek from the lobby, easily 50-60 meters away. Second, the pillows were all incredibly high; all four provided were the same, offering no softer alternative, which led to a restless night. Third, the toilet wasn't smart, and the toilet paper holder was awkwardly placed behind it, feeling a bit outdated. Fourth, the staff seemed accustomed to serving VIPs; for regular guests like us, they were rather cold and unresponsive. They'd only answer direct questions, and when I asked about breakfast, they didn't volunteer information about the hours or where it was served, which almost caused me to miss it. Most hotels serve until 10 AM, but here it's 9:30 AM.

Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied; the lamb shaomai was particularly authentic, and the lamb offal soup was absolutely delicious – highly recommend both! What truly stood out was the genuine and professional service team. From the warm milk the housekeeping auntie discreetly replenished daily to the help with planning my travel itinerary, every little detail exuded a heartwarming, 'home-like' feeling. Upon check-out, the front desk even gave me a souvenir gift, a thoughtful gesture that instantly melted away any travel fatigue.
Xin Cheng Hotel isn't just a place to rest; it's a living cultural museum. It tells stories through its architecture, conveys local charm through its cuisine, and embodies warmth through its service. It allows every guest to experience the vastness and gentleness of Hohhot amidst the hustle and bustle.
