Had a great stay at the Hilton. Upon check in the washing machine, safe, and bedroom TV were not working. However maintenance was able to resolve all of the issues and reception apologized and provided a nice bottle of wine as compensation. That is great service. Many amenities at this property made it a great time as well. Extremely clean. Lots of towels. Comfortable bed. No other complaints just a good stay!

Booked a one bedroom ocean spa apartment for 6 nights in Mid Oct 2024. Stayed on 38 floor. First impression when entering that apartment was ”great view”. Apartment is spacious and very clean, kitchen facility has stocked with many pot & pan and utensils, can make regular meals with no issue. Also has washer & dryer too. There is a jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom that is a bonus! We brought food from Coles supermarket (walking distance from Q1) and made breakfast and dinner. To get to Q1 resort from Gold Coast airtport, We brought a public transport card ”GO” from shop in airport arrival hall, took the airport bus #777 from airport (30 minutes ride) to Broadbeach, transfer to the local tram, get off at Surfers Paradise stop. Q1 resort is right across the street. The whole ride is last than 45 minutes, cost only 50 cents AUD., great deal!! BTW, all bus & tram ride within Gold Coast area is 50 cents. So get a GO card. Just make sure you tap on and off with each ride.

The location is awesome, you will not regret that. Even if we did not spend that much time in the room view of the city and the beach was stunning. Friendly staff. The only problem was about the pool, my husband saw a dead cockroach in the pool floating and another one just in front of the hot tub.

It was a booking for a night when we missed a connection flight, very good location and very clean. Nice receptionist and easy to order food and receive. My mum loves it.

The room was clean and quiet. It also had a nice view where you could see the sea and the rainforest.Service was good , and it was easy to call a taxi ,you just need to press a taxi bottom in the lobby and taxi would come to the hotel within 5 to 15 minutes .This was really cool!

Had an upgrade from an Executive Suite to Family Suite giving more room space with views of the beach and daily room services kept our Suite fresh and clean. The Breakfast menu was always our go to and got us ready for our busy day. Thank you Novotel Surfers Paradise for always making our stay feeling like home.

Firstly, the room was excellent, ultra clean with bath and shower. The sheets were exemplary, bed very comfortable as were the pillows. Bar fridge and microwave, toiletries in the bathroom. Towels excellent. Airconditioning excellent. I was excited to see a very large, modern wide screen TV with onboard Android system. Disappointed that no internet connection (so I could have used my own passwords for my streaming services. Even more disappointed that there was no aerial connected, but I had brought my own tech and internet. I just switched off the TV. Imagine my extreme displeasure to board the 3rd floor lift at 05:00 to have the doors closed - but no button worked! I WAS TRAPPED IN THE LIFT!!! I pressed the yellow emergency button for 5 seconds - no answer - pressed multiple times. I phoned the hotel main number, so they could press the lift call button - no answer. I phoned the 24/7 emergency 1300 number. The operator said she would send someone out - who would phone me with an ETA. Getting anxious, being 60 years old with a heart condition, I dialled 000 to call the POLICE! The dispatcher commended me on remaining so calm. I assured her, being very hot in cramped spaces with very little air was definitely not conducive to my remaining calm. They said to call 000 back if I got out before the fire brigade arrived. Five minutes later I heard voices outside. Someone heard my banging on the lift doors and cries for help. I GOT OUT That night the guy on reception said sorry. I explained that, although the room was marvelous - and that I did eventually get out, a man of my age and I'll health could have died - why wasn't anyone on duty to answer the damn lift emergency phone? He said he was sorry.

It is a conveniently located and comfortable accommodation. The quality of the breakfast buffet was excellent, and it was very cozy and ideal for staying with family.

Travelled for business on this occasion. Myself and family have stayed at this property many times. The location is really convenient, its a proper functioning hotel. Check in was really easy and fast. Scored a good room upgrade as well. The rooms are spacious and clean, the service was good . So I would recommend this hotel.

Great friendly staff, great service, breakfast was yummy, room was spacious and clean. 2nd time here, will definitely be back. Also great walking distance to centre along the waterfront

The hotel staff was super nice and friendly and helpful. We sleep here because participating in Goldcoast Marathon even if a bit far from the venue. But the staff was super helping when we have a hard time to find an uber to the starting line of the race like super early in the morning. Beside that, the cleanliness; the breakfast is all superb! Would love staying here if I’m back to Goldcoast

Called the hotel to advise of our late check in. Had been driving 16 hours and had a snappy receptionist check me in. The process was unusually long and was not given any information of carparking or breakfast (which was included). The girl at the reception failed to provide basic information on the hotel such as wifi, carpark, breakfast and amenities. This was just before 1am so I decided to let it slide. At about 2am, I rang to ask for toothbrush kit and shower cap and she had come up to the room and said that there’s no toothbrush kit and to go to the convenience store where it will be cheaper for me. Now I’m confused, what an odd comment to make, I didn’t realise I needed the cheaper option but okay. I then advised her that I had food being delivered and requested if she could bring it up to the room. She said yes of course and advised me to inform the delivery driver to drop it off at reception to her. I did exactly that and received a call minutes later, asking me to come down to pick it up. Clearly, I’m confused as we literally had this conversation less than 10 minutes prior. She asked me to come down and when I asked if she could bring it up as discussed, she asked me if I was about to take a shower. I said as a matter of fact, it is and then she said yeah well you have to come down. At this point I’m beyond irritated because firstly, what a bloody odd question to ask a guest at 2am in the morning. I went down and got it myself, have no issues with doing that but definitely have an issue when I was advised otherwise and then met with such poor service. Been to so many hotels and have had no issues, first time experiencing such poor customer service, unprofessionalism and attitude from what was meant to be a warm and friendly reception staff. Next day, staff were great and breakfast was adequate with the basic breakfast variety.

I had a pleasant stay in Gold Coast. The hotel is close to beach. I can see ocean from the balcony. Room is clean. The downsides are there is stingy smell of renovation in the room, but gladly I can open the balcony door to let the air in. Also, there is huge sound from two exhaust fans on the ground floor, which disturb me much, and is making sound all day. Plus the too upbeat music from swimming pool. Wish the music can be more chill and gentle. Besides from these, the staff are overall very friendly.

Facilties and amenities are amazing for kids. Check in and out can be done online to speed things up. Layout of tha facility provides easy access around the resort

A very nice place to stay, the rooms are very clear, the staffs were friendly and helpful. Location wise, it’s about 20 mins away from main surface paradise area.

The location is perfect. Within 3 min you can reach Woolworth, Port, and night market. (DFC is right under the hotel if you want to do shopping) However, the service was really not pleasing - every staff was cooperative, but they know nothing and were not helpful at all. No adaptor/code was available, the trash can was not cleaned, and the towels were very old. No toothbrush provided - we were told they ran out of the stock and we need to buy it from woolworth.

I stayed here twice - the first time, an ordinary room, the 2nd time, I thought maybe the Horizon Club might be a higher level. Before I say anything, I may choose to stay again for the location! This property is not 'Shangri-LA' as you would expect - the windows are all dirty which is disappointing for 'Marina View' rooms... The Horizon lounge furniture is closer to school lunch hall style, and the dinner - well, I don't eat in food halls with sausage rolls and spring rolls. We ate in the main street which was AWESOME!. The ping pong table is bent, bats are without surface, and the air hockey machine without pucks.. Basically a 'cashing in on the brand' experience...

Hides Hotel is the perfect budget hotel for travellers in Cairns. It is located right in the centre of the city close to shopping, cafes, restaurants, pubs and entertainment. Also close by is the Esplanade Lagoon and marina for GBR cruises and tours. The accomodation itself is basic but clean and secure. The airport and railway station are also within easy reach.

Location is good. 20 mins from the airport. A nice pool. However the room is very damp not sure if it’s the effect of the cyclone jasper. I feel like my clothes are all damp after staying there for two days.
