The receptionist a mature lady ensured from the minute we arrived that all would go well even if we were English. She helped my wife with the local Pharmacy (thank you).The hotel has ample parking. Parts of the hotel actually have an interesting Irish Rail history as well. The hotel is right next to a decent high street 5minute walk away. They also served Murphy's in the bar! The room was good but it was the history inside the hotel and the conversion of the Railway bridge into a drinking area very novel. Breakfast was very good and competative no complaints from me Irish Breakfast same as an English to me! Would we stay there again yes we are planning to again next year. Iy is only a 45min drive drom Cork airport.

My partner and I stayed in the hotel for one night sadly wasn’t longer.It was my partners birthday and they made her feel so special and even gave us a complimentary dessert.The food was stunning and Staff were incredible.The lady on reception was excellent and dedicated .

Beautiful hotel on the beach. From the minute we arrived at reception the service we got from Tracey was excellent. The food was beautiful and we got excellent professional service from Juan Rosa in the cave restaurant/bar. He did the hotel, himself and his family proud with his friendly demeanour nothing was too much for him. Our room was spacious, warm, spotlessly clean with magnificent views of the sea and Ballycotton lighthouse. We are already looking forward to a return visit

We stayed for two nights Friday and Saturday 6&7th of December. The atmosphere upon arrival was something else as the Late Late Toy show was being televised that evening and the hotel had laid on a very festive feeling. Check in was straight forward and the Staff at the desk were in great form and made you feel very welcome from the off. Our room was a smasher and we had a beautiful Terrace which looked out on to the hotel grounds which are very well kept, however it was December in Ireland so we won't mention that. The room was well decorated, warm and had plenty of facilities for us to use, tea/coffee ,TV etc. We ate both nights in the hotel and the food was top notch and the staff were both efficient and friendly and the endless questions from the many children didn't seem to bother any of them. If you are coeliac fear not this hotel caters for you during every meal through out the day with excellent choices. This is a must try Hotel if staying in West Cork it has something for everyone, great leisure centre facilities and close to everything in Clon. If I had a negative to say it would only be directed at myself, I should have stayed another night.

The handicapped facility rooms whereas they are very well intentioned are actually a disaster and management should take issue with their architect and/or your interior architect and health/welfare adviser. 1. The handicapped bathrooms are an accident waiting to happen. The sloped floors are too steep and my handicapped daughter's walker would roll/slide away from her with the back wheel brakes fully on when she was on the toilet. She was terrified of the slope and almost fell several times. The bathroom in the room I was in was also for a handicapped person and whereas I am not a handicapped person, the first time I walked in it, I stumbled and had to use the wall to save me from falling. I had a few more stumbles during the course of the stay but I was better prepared for them/ 2. The bedroom was not big enough for the furniture and a handicapped person besides and was far too cluttered because of size versus content. My daughter could not access the window side of the bed at all and I had to push the bed about one foot towards the window so that using her walker she was actually able to access the bed on the bathroom side of it and get in and out of it. These points seriously need to be looked at before somebody has a serious accident.

Our host was friendly and helpful, and we liked the easy parking at the B&B. Our two rooms were very clean and met our needs. Breakfast was tasty and there were several options from which to choose. Fortunately there is a small pub with good food that’s about a 15-min countryside walk from the property; otherwise you will need to drive to a restaurant.
