Pan Pacific Suzhou is one of those rare hotels where the stay itself feels like part of the sightseeing. It combines Suzhou’s classical garden charm with modern comforts in a way that feels both tranquil and indulgent. Garden resort setting The hotel is built in the style of a classical Suzhou garden, with courtyards, covered walkways, sculpted bridges, ponds and pavilions spread over expansive grounds. Walking around the property can feel like wandering through a private scenic park, with many rooms and paths looking directly onto landscaped greenery and traditional architecture. Direct access to Panmen Scenic Area A standout perk is its location right beside the historic Panmen Scenic Area, home to ancient gates, pagodas and canals. Guests typically enjoy complimentary or convenient access via a dedicated entrance, turning morning strolls or evening walks among the illuminated walls and waterways into a daily ritual rather than a rushed excursion. Rooms and views Most rooms offer either serene garden vistas or views over Panmen’s walls, waterways and even Ruiguang Pagoda from some angles. Inside, the rooms pair contemporary comforts like high‑speed internet and workspaces with warm, subtly traditional decor, so you get a sense of place without sacrificing modern convenience. Location and convenience While it feels like a secluded resort, the hotel sits in a prime Suzhou district with easy access to key attractions, shopping and dining. Suzhou Railway Station is only a short drive away and the nearest metro station is about a five‑minute walk, making it straightforward to reach popular gardens and business areas without losing that peaceful “garden retreat” base.

Facilities: Building 3, room amenities are average, but the bedding is good. The corner room has great natural light, and the breakfast restaurant is ordinary. Next time, I'd like to try other buildings. Cleanliness: The room's cleanliness was decent, but the restaurant's hygiene wasn't great. The cups weren't clean. Environment: Superb! The Chinese garden is beautiful, and each building serves a functional purpose, feeling very lived-in and authentic. You don't even need to go to the scenic area to experience the Chinese aesthetics of Slender West Lake, and Quyuan is an excellent restaurant. Service: I realized I'd forgotten my cherries in the fridge after checking out. I contacted the hotel, and they kindly held them at the front desk for me. The service I received throughout this process was excellent.

The location is excellent, and the high-floor view is quite good. The afternoon tea included in the Trip.com package was incredibly good value for money, I just forgot to take a picture before eating it. The room is quite spacious, clean, and tidy. The facilities aren't brand new; there's no high-speed hairdryer or smart toilet, and the power outlet next to the desk was a bit difficult to open. There's only one tissue box, placed on the vanity. However, these are minor issues and don't really matter; they're easily adjustable. What I found unacceptable were two problems. Firstly, the elevator shaft connecting the suspended lobby to the first floor constantly emitted a whistling wind sound, which was noisy and unsettling. Secondly, I'm not sure if the air conditioning system is old and ineffective, or if they're saving energy and haven't turned it on properly. I couldn't adjust the temperature or mode. Outside, the temperature was dropping fast, nearing zero degrees, yet even with the in-room AC control set to 28°C, there was still no airflow. I called the front desk, and it took an age for someone to arrive. They pointed a forehead thermometer at the vent, it beeped, and they claimed the vent was blowing 26°C, saying there was no problem and that this was the set temperature, controlled centrally by the hotel. The problem is, I had the whimsical idea to hold a paper-thin tissue up to the vent, and it didn't even flutter.

During the New Year's Day holiday, I was planning a trip to Nanjing and compared various hotel chains. Ultimately, I felt that Jinling Hotel had the best location, so after reading reviews, I booked a room in the Asia Pacific Tower. The hotel's location is fantastic; it's just a two or three-minute walk from Exit 6 of Xinjiekou Metro Station. Whether you're taking a taxi or the metro, nothing feels far away. Upon entering the room, I was impressed by the thoughtful layout and excellent facilities. The mini-bar was complimentary, and even the AHAVA toiletries were a pleasant surprise. After using them, my hair felt voluminous and my scalp wasn't itchy or dry – I even asked about the price because I wanted to buy them for home, haha! The concierge and housekeeping services were also top-notch. I order a lot of takeout, often several at once, and it's reassuring that the concierge department verifies the room number and name. When the robots are busy, the concierge staff personally deliver the food. Yesterday morning, when a concierge staff member brought my takeout, he noticed a bag of my previous takeout outside my door and kindly took it away – I really appreciate his attentiveness! When taking a taxi, the concierge also helps with opening and closing car doors and carrying luggage. The housekeeping hotline was very responsive; when I mentioned my pillow was too soft, they promptly provided me with a suitable latex pillow. The cleaning lady thoughtfully tidied my small desk and even left extra bottled water. All these little touches are examples of excellent attention to detail and warm service. Jinling Hotel will definitely be my first choice when I visit Nanjing again.

The most delightful surprise of my Suzhou trip was stumbling upon Anshe Hotel! Tucked away in Jianxin Lane, Gusu District, this hidden gem perfectly balances location, living experience, and value for money, making every trip effortless and pleasant. It's definitely my top choice for any future visits to Suzhou. The location is simply phenomenal, making getting around incredibly convenient! It's just a 2-minute walk from Exit 5 of Lindun Road subway station, so even with luggage, you won't have to go out of your way. Turn left out of the hotel, and in 3 minutes, you'll find yourself on Pingjiang Road's cobblestone alleys, perfect for catching the morning light before the crowds arrive, or enjoying a bowl of tangzhou (sweet porridge) accompanied by Pingtan storytelling in the evening. Turn right, and a 10-minute walk takes you directly to Guanqian Street, where you can easily find famous eateries like Yaba Shengjian and Lu Changxing noodles. The vibrant night market atmosphere is also right at your fingertips. Getting to Suzhou Museum and the Humble Administrator's Garden is also a breeze, just two subway stops away, eliminating any travel hassle. It truly allows for a ”step out and explore” kind of travel freedom.

Our stay at the Crowne Plaza was absolutely fantastic! As a standard five-star hotel, it's incredibly well-equipped with an executive lounge, gym, and heated swimming pool. The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable bedding, perfect for both work and relaxation. The breakfast offers a wide variety of both Western and Chinese options, and the service is attentive and prompt – even the small details reflect professionalism. A special shout-out to Cecelia and Layla! Whether for business or leisure, it's a truly comfortable experience with amazing value for money!

Our trip was an excellent experience! The concierge, Fiona, reached out early via WeChat, arranged a fantastic room for us, and even booked a table with a window view at the Chinese restaurant. She was incredibly warm and lovely, always responding and resolving any issues immediately. The hotel has a great location and wonderful views. The duck blood vermicelli soup at breakfast was delicious. We also enjoyed drinks at the rooftop bar. The concierge service was outstanding; a particularly enthusiastic doorman, Lu Yuanzhen, helped us with our luggage every time we came and went, and our bags were always delivered to our room. This hotel offers truly exceptional service. I'll definitely choose InterContinental again on my next visit to Nanjing. Our first trip of the New Year was absolutely delightful. Hotel is near with Shopping malls.you can find Restaurant near hotel without going to City center. Interesting Construction Design have of the hotel. We stayed on 9th Floor against to garden view. Hotel location is good. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

New hotel, friendly staff but is going to be outdated soon. Bad sound proofing , lots of drunk Chinese people shouting in the corridor at night time. The breakfast variety is so poor for Europeans. Please teach your staff in the restaurant to cook sunny side up eggs and refill the dishes without reminding. Overall, it’s not “real Hilton” experience.

Everything was top tier. From the check-in where I was upgraded to a river view room, the clean, spacious and inviting room to the service and superb breakfast. The view from the restaurant was amazing. This was my pre birthday trip and the Hyatt made it so special. I even got a slice to birthday cake. The lady at the front desk who checked me in spoke really good English and was so kind and caring and she’s also a Gemini 😁🎉 I would 100% recommend and come back here.
