The stay was short but nice. Clean rooms and very welcoming people. At first, I was skeptical about staying in this hotel due to its location on the map. I was well received and given a personal tour of the hotel by Anne who made sure I knew where everything is found. Her service was so professional and the reception was available whenever I had questions. I immediately felt at home. Good food and 24 hour room service. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Africa.

My next business trip brought me to Douala, Cameroon. My first time in the city so was not sure what to expect. Was booked in the Platinum Cocotiers. A relatively new hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean and have all the trappings to conduct your business effectively. WIFI connectivity is excellent, and staff are friendly and always ready to help. There are 2 restaurants in the Hotel. Restaurant on the first floor serves breakfast which is decent and is open from 6 to 10am. The other restaurant on the ground floor is open for lunch and dinner. The restaurant has a limited menu but food served is fresh and good. Alcoholic drinks are also available. Being a small hotel during my stay there were not too many guests hence occupancy was low and at times seemed like I was the only guest in the hotel. Bed and Pillows are comfortable ensuring a good night's sleep. The hotel is close to Douala Port and my room provided a good view of the harbor from the balcony. My stay nevertheless was comfortable, and I enjoyed the peace and serenity the low occupancy provided.

Have stayed here several times and quality remains. They thought of everything in the room and the bed is comfortable. The food is delicious and prepared on demand. But what really sets them apart is the customer service: everyone is polite, smiles and helpful. Special shout out to Leonel, D’Aquin, the valet and room service teams. Truly the best in the city

We were impressed with this hotel. The rooms were comfortable with nice bedding and linens. The breakfast is very good (except the coffee) and the restaurant is a fine choice for dinner, although there are other options nearby. But the real STARS of this hotel are the staff. They were lovely. Jude at reception was professional and friendly and went out of his way to help us. Emmanuelle gave us good tips for our one day off work. The nice trainer in the gym -- I forgot his name -- gave us good advice for using weights. We will be back!

I had a great experience at AKWA Palace hotel. The reception staff are amazing especially Miss Kadija and Miss Sylie, I recommend this place to anyone who wants a pleasant and stress free environment. Personally I think it’s a 5star rather than a 4star hotel.

On business trips it is very pleasant to relax in a hotel with European standards. Here guests are offered everything, from the buffet, restaurant and bar by the pool, sports equipment and excellent rooms. The airport transfer helps you get there and only takes a few minutes.

Great location. No complaints concerning the room. Comfortable king-size bed. Large closets including iron and ironing board. Customer service is poor across the board (with exception of security). I don't plan to ever stay here again.
