Nice hotel with great views of the Lake. Great service from the reception staff who was very helpful with bringing my luggage up to the room. Aircon in room wasn’t that cool as it could get stuffy with 4 people in the room. Little dated hotel but good for staying a night or 2. Parking was free when signed up with their free membership program.

As everyone has mentioned it’s a love hotel … great price for the size of the room and for all the amenities, stayed because it was close to the art museum, good experience love hotel in Japan

The hotel was a little dated but it had a lovely onsen and family games eg air hockey, carom board, ping pong, and a laundromat that always had free machines! There are only a handful of restaurants around so book the breakfast and dinner in the hotel when you are booking as going there for dinner without a reservation will cost you a whopping S$92 per adult. The spread was not bad but not great. There are a gang of chonky cats in the nearby park and an amazing view of Lake Biwa. You can catch the sunset from the lounge while enjoying some complimentary drinks and tidbits. The nearest restaurant El Ocho is a homey Spanish restaurant - really good food!

I loved everything about this hotel. The cleanliness was outstanding — easily one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The staff provided great service and were always helpful and friendly. The hotel offers a shuttle bus to the train station, which made getting around very convenient. The food was delicious, especially the breakfast, with good quality and variety. The highlight for me was the hotel view — absolutely beautiful and very relaxing. Overall, the stay exceeded my expectations and I would definitely come back again. Highly recommended!!!!💕💕💕🎀🇯🇵🙌🏽

Hotel is fancy and clean. Love the Japanese style room and also the hot spring included in the hotel. We check-in late at 8pm and we felt warm welcome by the concierge staff as the staff helped collect our luggage’s and arrange sending them to our room. The check-in staff are inflexible on the late check-out request and she seems only wants to sell the membership account. It’s a bit hard feeling of the way she tell us a BIG NO if we don’t join the membership for the late check-out. End up we didn’t request it anymore as we didn’t like been “force” to do so.

Ryokusuitei’s environment, service, and facilities were excellent. Our pre-stored luggage was promptly delivered to the room. The private bath room included breakfast, which was delicious with many options, plus a small stove to grill seafood yourself. While the private bath isn’t completely secluded—people in a building across, though quite far away, can see in—the stunning view of Lake Biwa more than makes up for it. The large public bath is open nearly 24 hours, featuring a relaxing lounge area afterward, free ice cream, and complimentary coffee in the lobby during the day. Upon check-in, we received shopping discount coupons that could be used to purchase small towels, scented balms, and storage bags.

Kami tidak tahu bahawa ini adalah hotel cinta dan hanya menyedarinya sehari sebelum daftar masuk, kerana daftar masuk hanya dari jam 6 petang. Bilik ini sangat luas dan kami tidak kisah dengan ****, kondom dan banyak produk kecantikan yang disertakan. :D Walau bagaimanapun, saya tidak tahu bahawa bilik hotel di Jepun boleh membenarkan merokok, jadi bau rokok yang kuat di dalam bilik itu sangat mengganggu. Kami meletakkan papan tanda 'jangan ganggu' kerana kami tidak memerlukan pembersihan setiap hari. Hari kedua saya perasan beberapa **** dari hotel telah hilang di dalam bilik kami tetapi bilik itu tidak dibuat (katil tidak dikemas, sampah tidak dikosongkan). Saya bertanya kepada kakitangan dan mereka berkata mereka mengeluarkannya kerana mereka fikir ia mengganggu kami. Ini agak pelik bagi saya, saya tidak pasti dari mana mereka mendapat idea itu dan saya tidak tahu mengapa mereka masuk ke bilik itu. Ia juga penting untuk ambil perhatian bahawa kereta api hanya berjalan sekali sejam pada kebanyakan hari (dalam beberapa jam dua kali).

The most satisfied hotel for my this solo trip. Feeling great with this hotel. Clean and service is so good, feel enjoy amenities inside hotel room. I love it so much, and is very close to station

1) air conditioning is very week, suggest equipping with one more fan in the room 2) only one female lobby staff worked very slowly . Other staff just rest not come out for work We had waited for a very long time to get back our stored luggage and missed the JR train 😥🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲

It was a great stay at this ryokan! The hotel is able to arrange a car to fetch you from the JR station. You can call them using a dedicated phone at the station which is used to contact the different ryokans. The car arrived in 10mins or so. The ride to the ryokan was also less than 10mins. The hotel also fetched us to the station on the last day of our stay. The ryokan itself is homely and cozy. We were greeted by an english speaking staff who introduced us to the amenities of the ryokan. There was also a nice welcome tea and matcha chocolate. Our bags were brought to our room as well during this time. The room is spacious and cozy. The hotel prepared 2 welcome biscuits in the room which was a nice personal touch. The room has a nice living room and a great view of Lake Biwa. Recommend to catch the sunrise over the lake! There are 2 normal beds as well as futon beds (need to set up yourself). Both are comfortable. The hotel also prepared pretty yukata for both female and male guests which you can wear during the stay. There are 4 different designs for ladies, and one design for the guys. You can request for different size if the one in the room doesn’t fit you. There is also a full length mirror and a mini dressing area at the side of the living room. It was fun dressing up in the yukata! The toilet, basin, shower and hot tub areas are all separate. The toilet is a little small, but the basin and mirror area is very spacious. The shower area is quite small as well and the shower head is rather low so you need to hold the shower head if you wish to wash up while standing. There is a small stool given for you to sit down though. The hot tub area is semi-outdoor and you can see Lake Biwa. But it is quite small (only good for one person). It was too cold so we didn’t use the hot tub. Instead, we booked the private onsen for 50mins. The private onsen has a private toilet and dressing area which is equipped with hairdryer, body lotion etc. There is a water dispenser as well if you need to hydrate yourself. The onsen area has a washing area, and the hot tub area is spacious for 2 person. There are privacy screens around the onsen area but there is a small gap to let in cold air for ventilation. Wish there is a good view from the private onsen but it was still enjoyable! Dinner and breakfast was Kaiseki style, and the meals were one of the highlights for my husband and I. We really enjoyed the courses which are clean tasting yet wholesome, fresh and flavourful. It was such a sumptuous treat! The ryokan also has a souvenir shop if you wish to buy anything back. Overall, my husband and I really enjoyed the stay here and we agreed this was one of the main highlights of our 12 days trip in Japan. Highly recommend!
