Magnifique Hotel situé non loin de Grand-Gaube! Site splendide, tres bien entretenu avec beaucoup de plantes, plamiers.... Plusieurs restaurants a disposition, 3 a la carte (Beach Rouge, Bodrum et Inti) ainsi que un general ou on peut y manger un buffet que ce soit au petit dejeuner. Il y a aussi un endroit ou on peu manger des Burgers, quick bite a midi... 2 Piscines, 1 grande vers le restaurant principal et une a l'autre bout du complexe pour les adultes uniquement. SPA magnifique, tennis, fitness, petanque et tous les sports nautiques disponibles... On a adoré.... Le personnel au top ! Poli et d'une gentillesse... incroyable... Service au top ! Je recommande fortement.

This accommodation is very affordable, basic but very well location, car park is very handy. If you need new towels you need to let them know. Kitchen wise, basic, but does the job. Room very big, with balcony. Staff very friendly. Due to other comments I came with some cleaning stuff from home. The apartment was clean. If you’re looking for something affordable, this is an option

A new and modern beautiful hotel. Lots to do and some great food to eat. Service needs to improve for a 5 star hotel but the management are very accommodating/addressing any issues raised. The Bissou bar is a standout for me and my wife with unbelievable service by Olivier.

The Veranda Grand Baie was excellent. We visited in February and the weather was fantastic. The hotel over exceeded our expectations, the staff were excellent and facilities were perfect for our stay. They provided free water sports and boat trips. The room was clean and met our high expectations with regard to view and location, over looking the pool. We would highly recommend this hotel when visiting Mauritius. We’ll be back!!!

Small family orientated hotel. Perfect location. 5 minutes walk to a shopping mall and 10 minutes to the beach. Friendly staff who are very helpful. The rooms are cleaned most days to a high standard. Our room , more like an apartment. had an en-suite, kitchenette with cooking facilities, sofa, TV, dining table, and fridge, and a balcony with table and chairs. Lovely small pool with plenty of sun loungers . Perfect for small families and couples. We would love to stay there again.

We went to Zilwa Attitude to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary with friends. The hotel was breathtaking. When you arrive into the foyer there is the most magnificent view of the sea. All the restaurants were first class and the staff were excellent. You were always served immediately. A special mention to Nathan who always looked after us but I can honestly say all the staff were so pleasant and efficient. A real credit to the Zilwa Hotel. Nasreen the Executive Assistant Manager was amazing and really made our Golden Wedding Anniversary very special. She even organised a very delicious chocolate cake where we had our Anniversary meal at Lor Disab. We loved everything about Zilwa and couldn’t have chosen a better hotel. We did know we couldn’t swim from the beach but it is a lovely beach to sit on and there was enough sun beds everywhere. Even though the hotel was quite full there was always enough space to sit in the bars and restaurants. I could go on forever praising the staff right down to the Aqua Aerobics staff Glass bottom driver and snorkelling driver who were all so enthusiastic and made our holiday so enjoyable. I would like to add that I had been an air hostess and travel agent for 22 years so have been used to staying in five star hotels but Zilwa for me was just perfect for our special occasion.

Also, a special mention to the barman, such a friendly and welcoming person! A heartfelt thank you to Anaselle and Geeta for the amazing couple’s massage—it was incredibly relaxing and truly enhanced our experience. The food was simply excellent, and our room was outstanding—spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed. The hotel itself is immaculate, peaceful, and truly relaxing. We initially planned to stay for just one night… but we loved it so much that we ended up booking an extra night! Highly recommended—can’t wait to come back!

You need to manage your expectations when you book a stay at Oceans Villas. You might have watched the YouTube videos showing the hotel. But it's fair to say that these videos show the icing on the cake and not the core ingredients. If you saw two South Africans touring the hotel, be warned that they've shown the best parts and avoided showing the worst parts. It's a 3 star establishment. And that means you're going to have to put up with a property that was built circa 1980s. There were signs of wear and tear everywhere. As you walk through the front door, some parts of the villas needed a bit of filler and a lick of paint. Some of the furniture had seen better days and our shower door leaked every time we took a shower. But the villa was clean. The beds were comfortable and the villa had amenities that you wouldn't expect such as a safe, hair dryer and a microwave too. A bottle of mineral water was also provided on arrival and parking outside the villas was a nice touch. As for the grounds, the gardens are kept well. It's not going to blow you away but again it's 3 star. The swimming pool didn't look as clean as we'd like and we opted not to go for a dip. The cushions on the seats were littered with stains from previous guests spilling drinks and food. The beach was decent. The view out to the bay was spectacular and you certainly won't be disappointed. You can swim but when we stayed, the sea was choppy but that's not the hotel's problem. What's great about Oceans Villa is its position. You're only 5 minutes away in a car from the best public beaches. Namely Trou aux Biches, Mon Choisy, Pereybere and La Gaulette. So you're spoilt for choice. We'd like to praise the service at the hotel. The kitchen staff and serving staff were really accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment was particularly good, and you'll certainly be tapping your toes and most likely dancing. Lastly the food. One word MSG. There's a good selection of food but too much MSG added to the food. Every morning, we woke up to that awful salty taste on our tongues. So as you can gather there's some good parts to Oceans Villas but you're going to have to put up with some bad parts. if you're on a budget and happy to stay in a 3 star establishment where you can experience the beaches in the North, it's a good place to stay. Would we stay there again? I'd most likely opt for a self catering apartment. We felt for the money, we'd get better quality of facilities but then again we'd have to prepare our food.

Wow! what a truly incredible space - I felt enchanted from the moment I arrived, with big smiles from the friendliest Team, offering iced cloths to refresh 'n cool my travel neck & hands. The decor is exquisite, & the attention to detail is on point. As I moved through the spacious eating & chill area, into the garden, I quickly realized I had arrived in a little slice of paradise. The palm trees, & garden enveloped me, & I was transported to a magical place, instantly relaxing & welcoming me 'home'. My room was beautifully set out, & the air con, as well as fan, ensured a cool resting sanctuary. The pool was exceptional, & I spent hours in its salty embrace. I walked to the local beach to snorkel with the fish & sea turtles! As well as ate from the delish food trucks, witnessing magnificent sunsets, & feeling deep gratitude. After 9 days of delight, rest, adventure, play, mixed in with a bit of work, I can quite honestly say I did not want to leave! I will always have this experience in my heart & mind, & am absolutely returning :)

A very relaxing eight night stay just before Christmas. My room was very comfortable with a balcony and a beautiful view of the pool, beach and ocean. The hotel manager, Michael, is very personable and on hand to ensure the satisfaction of guests. The staff were consistently thoughtful and attentive. Throughout my stay, there was amazing attention to detail and many gestures of kindness. Dinners were of gourmet quality and one night the chef even made a special biryani for me. Breakfast is a buffet, far simpler than breakfasts at a larger property, but good nevertheless. The beach, while beautiful, is rocky, so getting into the water wasn't fun. There are better beaches elsewhere on the island, including Mont Choisy a fifteen minute walk away. If I could suggest small improvements, it would be to have more sockets in the room to connect laptops, phones and mosquito repellant simultaneously, and to add reading lights as it was difficult to read in bed in the night. All in all, an excellent hotel with great staff.

The hotel is in need of a makeover, some of the fittings a little outdated. The pool is little more than a plunge pool though the setting is superb. The breakfast is average, so much so that whilst my wife went for breakfast most days I stayed in the room and just had yoghurts. The minibar doesn’t work and nothing is cold in it. There’s no room service menu though they allow outside deliveries for guests. That’s all the bad points. Now for the good points. The rooftop bar is relaxed and atmospheric, the sunsets there are sensational and the cocktails are superb. The service from the staff was incredible. Always helpful and informative and willing to go the extra mile to make you welcome and that makes up for the shortcomings of the actual building itself. Also the location close to Perrybere beach and a short taxi ride to Grand Baie is pretty good too, though it’s a long taxi ride from the airport.
