Berbaloi Ke Beli Pas Pengangkutan?

  • Info Ekstra: Jika anda tiada Freepass, harga tiket sehala gondola berharga ¥2,000 JPY (RM 59 MYR).

  • Bayaran Akses: Harga standard ¥1,600 JPY. Anda boleh menuntut diskaun ¥200 JPY menerusi Hakone Freepass. Pintu masuk terletak berhampiran stesen Chokoku-no-Mori menerusi perkhidmatan tren Hakone Tozan Railway.

5. Taman Gora (Hakone Gora Park)

My main reason for choosing Hotel Indigo was the expectation that a foreign hotel would offer more diverse food options than traditional Japanese cuisine, and that the rooms would be more modern. Both expectations were met, which was great. However, the hotel's location is quite remote, making it difficult to walk to Gora Station. Thankfully, the hotel provides a shuttle service to the station from 10 AM to 6 PM. If you plan to take the shuttle to Odawara, remember to book it in advance at the front desk. There's also an unsightly warehouse-like structure next to the hotel, which is a bit of a letdown considering how secluded the location already is – it really spoils the view. Around 90% of the guests here seem to be Western tourists, likely in groups, as the breakfast area was almost full before 8 AM. For dinner, we decided to eat near Gora Station and had some excellent unagi (eel) rice. A taxi back to the hotel cost us 700 yen. For first-time visitors to Hakone, I'd recommend staying in Hakone-Yumoto instead, as it's livelier, offers more dining choices, and has more convenient transportation. Also, the hotel's public bath is mixed-gender, requiring you to bring your own swimwear or borrow special attire from the front desk, which I found a bit inconvenient, so I didn't end up using it.

The moment our car pulled up, a staff member rushed out to help with our luggage, smiling all the while. They guided us through check-in, even offering a warm towel and welcome tea – talk about a fantastic first impression! Just outside the lobby, there's a lush, green mountain view. Lounging on the beanbag chairs there, just chilling out, was incredibly therapeutic 🌿. The room itself was a typical Japanese style, spacious and spotless. The balcony even had an open-air private onsen tub, so if you didn't feel like going to the public baths, you could soak in your own hot spring while enjoying the view – maximum privacy. The hotel also provided yukata robes, and wearing them around the premises really added to the whole experience 👘. The onsen facilities were definitely the highlight! The public baths on the fifth and sixth floors alternate daily for men and women. The open-air onsen on the sixth floor had an absolutely stunning view – mountains by day, starry skies by night. Soaking in the hot spring with a towel on my head, just zoning out, felt exactly like something out of an anime. The toiletries were POLA, with everything from makeup remover to toner and lotion provided. My skin felt so smooth after the bath, I just went straight back to my room and passed out ♨️✨. For dinner, we chose the teppanyaki. The chef cooked each dish right in front of us, meticulously explaining every course in English. The ingredients were fresh, the seasoning precise – you could really taste the care put into it. Breakfast was a buffet, and having unlimited sashimi rice bowls was pure bliss. Seafood donburi lovers, rejoice! 🍣 On checkout day, a staff member stood at the entrance, bowing goodbye and waving until our car was far out of sight. That feeling of being genuinely cared for truly makes you want to come back again and again.

Hotels in Hakone are generally expensive, but Kai Hakone offers a pretty good value for money. Room: We booked a standard room. It was newly renovated, clean, bright, and well-designed with a great view. Very comfortable stay. Onsen: The public bath isn't large, with one open-air bath for men and one for women, both overlooking the valley. It's small but charming. The baths switch locations between morning and evening. The lemon water is delicious. Other Activities: There's a tea house in the common area with a beautiful view. They offer complimentary tea and snacks in the afternoon, and local shochu in the evening (though it wasn't great). You can also book a local yosegi woodworking activity. The lobby also provides free tea and water all day. Food: Breakfast and dinner are provided. Post-pandemic, the quality of dining at Kai is not comparable to pre-pandemic times, especially breakfast. Overall, the food is decent with some thoughtful touches, and their desserts are particularly good. I'd recommend staying for 1-2 nights. Currently, the restaurant only offers two dinner menus plus a vegetarian option, and for breakfast, one Chinese and one Western set. So, for our 3-night stay, the dining experience on the third day felt a bit underwhelming. Location: It's located halfway up a mountain, so you'll mostly rely on taxis for getting around. It's about 1500 yen from Hakone-Yumoto Station.

Every city's soul resides in a hotel. The Peace Hotel in Shanghai, the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, the Ritz Paris. These masterpieces, born from local spirit, aesthetics, and a unique mission, are irreplaceable classics, forever one-of-a-kind. They are undeniably the ultimate experiences to explore in these great cities. In 1871, a 20-year-old Japanese man moved to America for work. After saving enough money, he returned to Japan during the Meiji Restoration and enrolled at Keio University. There, he was enlightened by Fukuzawa Yukichi, the father of modern Japan, and first realized the importance of international tourism. In the same year (1874), Emperor Guangxu was only 3 years old; the gears of history began to turn. Fukuzawa's portrait is still on Japan's highest denomination banknote today. The young man, Yamaguchi, realized that Japan didn't have a true hotel for foreigners. So he picked up a blank piece of paper and began to draw the blueprint for Japan's future state guesthouse: 1. A place foreigners would love most. 2. Close to Tokyo, with beautiful scenery. 3. Must have natural hot springs. The intersection of these three coordinates landed in the Miyanoshita area of Hakone. In 1878, Japan's first resort hotel – Fujiya Hotel – was born. However, fate was cruel; just 5 years later, a major fire engulfed the hotel, along with all records since its opening, turning everything to ash. The once eternal legacy became as thin as a wisp of smoke. Fortunately, Yamaguchi resolutely chose to rebuild. In 1891, the new building was completed and has been operating ever since. The symmetrical facade and main entrance portico emphasize a solemn ”frontality.” Inside, there are sofas, fireplaces, and radiators. Even the height of the doorknobs and beds was customized to suit the stature of Westerners. Yet, at the same time, the graceful curves of the Japanese roof, vermillion railings, and dragon wood carvings constantly remind you – this is Japan. No other hotel can better interpret the four characters ”Wa-Yo setchū” (a blend of Japanese and Western styles) than Fujiya Hotel. During the war, it interned over 70 European and Central/South American diplomats. Over a hundred years, the countless celebrities, dignitaries, and royals it hosted are dazzling: Charlie Chaplin, John Lennon, Albert Einstein, Yukio Mishima, The King of Belgium, the Crown Prince of Sweden, the Duke of Windsor, Emperor Hirohito, the Last Emperor Puyi, Chiang Kai-shek... For nearly 150 years, Fujiya Hotel has witnessed the collapse of countless colossal powers. How many kings and generals once stood by its west-facing windows, witnessing the twilight of their empires? I checked in during early summer, like pushing open a door to time. The hustle and bustle had long faded, but it still retained its former glory, humbly yet proudly refusing to awaken. Time stands still here, leaving amber-like imprints, as if nothing has ever truly left.

The hotel's shuttle service made getting around incredibly easy. We pre-booked it on Ctrip, and the shuttle to/from Odawara was right on schedule. It also offered flexible pickups and drop-offs at several attractions. After returning to the hotel, a soak in the hot spring was the perfect way to unwind and wash away the day's fatigue.

The place was spotless, the environment was beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Even though English wasn't their strong suit, they used translation apps effectively to communicate. We weren't aware they offered a pick-up service, so we took a taxi there. However, they kindly provided a drop-off service to the station when we left. They also patiently explained which station had luggage lockers, as we were planning to move on to a different location the next day. If we hadn't already made other plans, staying two nights would have been ideal. The dining experience felt like a hotel's set course meal. While dinner was a little slow, the overall experience was excellent, and the dining staff were all wonderful. We also had pleasant encounters with local Japanese people in the public baths; they were very friendly. One even waited outside to recommend some ice cream to us! Overall, I had a fantastic impression of Hakone.

It was okay, and very clean. Walking into the lobby, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was. Although it's an old hotel with a vintage interior, it has a charming feel, almost like stepping back into the Japanese dramas I watched as a kid. Despite its age, it's very well-maintained and clean, which made it comfortable. Everything else was pretty standard. The location was convenient.

Our experience staying in Hakone was perfect! We stayed at the Tensein in Hakone-Yumoto, an easy location to take the bus, car or train to some popular tourist attractions in the area. The check in itself was rather slow but the staff do their best to speak good English and discuss every detail about your stay with you. The room had everything we needed, the shampoo and conditioners provided was wonderful and there was a variety of products to use. On check in, the private onsen was given at 50% discount at 1,100 Japanese yen per use, we got 2 vouchers so used it 2 times (as we have tattoos we could not go into the public onsen). On check in you have to collect your towel and your choice of Yukata (traditional Japanese robe) which you’re welcomed and encouraged to wear around the hotel and gardens. The hotel is strictly no shoes, so upon arrival you leave your shoes in a locked box and keep the key. If you wish to walk around the beautiful gardens, there are slider type shoes available to slip on, as well as umbrellas to use if it’s raining. Outside they have a onsen for your feet to enjoy with a drink. All of the food and drink (apart from breakfast which was included) was put on our bill at the end. There was a wide selection of drinks, nibbles and food available for dinner and lunches at the dining room and there was a large buffet dining room for buffet breakfast and dinner (if you booked it). The hotel is just a short 10 minute walk to the town and 15 minute walk to the Hakone-Yumoto station. Visiting Mt Fuji is easy, with a bus ‘H’ running from stand 2 opposite the Hakone -Yumoto station. Get off at ‘Motohakone’. From there, you can take another bus and a train to get you to another town ‘Gora’ and surrounding attractions to enjoy.

Absolutely fine! We had booked a room “without a view” because it was the only one left, but we actually had plenty of view directly from the bed, so we were pleasantly surprised and very happy. Plenty of space. Sweet and helpful staff. Good breakfast, simple and exactly what you can expect. The pillows were a bit hard and short, but otherwise we had nothing to complain about, and that’s probably a matter of personal preference as well.

Yama No Chaya has its own beauty and serenity. I personally don’t find it hard to locate - 2 bus stops away from Hakone Yumoto station + a 5 minutes walk are worth the stay. (Bus service stopped for one of the days due to bad weather and we walked for 20 minutes to Hakone Yumoto Station - all good) The team is very hospitable - they also have some English and Chinese speaking staff otherwise simple English is not an issue to communicate. Our butler - Sandip always carry a smile with him, and he ensured we are very well taken care of. Every morning, the team will prepare heat pack and umbrellas for us (it was raining and snowing). In the evening, they made tea and prepared snacks (vary from mochi to sushi) for us upon our returned. The room we booked is Yamano Ichigo (main wing) - just nice for 2. The viewing platform was where we relaxed every evening and we soaked our tiredness away in our very own private onsen at the basement. Despite of having our own private onsen, I still went to visit 3 other public onsen within the Ryokan - you will not be disappointed. Our room came with daily breakfast and we added on dinner for 1 night. I must say the chef and culinary team put in their passion and effort to prepare all the dishes. It’s not common for a visitor like me to taste Kaisekai cuisine which I enjoyed very much. You need to take time and an empty stomach to full experience it :) However, my partner and I weren’t used to heavy breakfast and our butler noticed it - we get to change to western style for the rest of the stay which was equally delicious. We are thankful that we minimised food wastage. Overall, we felt pampered during our stay at Yama no Chaya :) I will return again in the future when I visit Hakone.

I absolutely loved this hotel! Everything from booking, arranging the shuttle via email, to check-in and check-out, was incredibly smooth. The private onsen, which I reserved in advance via email, was also a wonderful experience. The location is fantastic, right next to Togendai – just a 5-minute walk away. It's super convenient for visiting Owakudani and taking the Hakone Sightseeing Cruise. If the hotel shuttle schedule doesn't work for you, you can easily catch a bus from Togendai to Odawara hub. What's more, the Togendai bus runs every 15 minutes, and it's the starting point, so you'll never have to worry about not getting a seat or a place for your luggage. The hotel's buffet breakfast and dinner, with free-flowing drinks, were also a highlight. Most importantly, my husband left his headphones at the hotel. When we realized, we were already in Kamakura, preparing to head to Yokohama. We immediately called the hotel, and their response was incredibly fast. They quickly located the headphones and sent them via courier to the nearest express pickup point at our Yokohama hotel. We received them successfully before returning home. A huge thank you! I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. There was not a single thing to complain about throughout our stay.

This Hakone hotel is a tranquil lakeside retreat. Despite being over 100 years old, it shows no signs of its age. The front desk staff were courteous and welcoming. The bedding and towels in the rooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast was a delightful experience, with fresh ingredients and a wide variety of both Japanese and Western dishes, ensuring a great start to the day. The hot spring bath, though not large, was clean and cozy. Stepping out of the side door of the restaurant, you're greeted by an open lawn, and directly ahead, the shimmering Lake Ashi, with its harbor full of sightseeing boats and small motorboats. Enjoying a rich coffee while sitting by the lake, feeling the cool breeze, was incredibly pleasant and relaxing. This stay left us with wonderful memories, and we've already promised ourselves a return visit.

This hotel is absolutely stunning.  The view of Lake Ashi from our room was truly breathtaking.  The staff were incredibly helpful throughout our stay, and the buffet dinner was delicious with plenty of variety.  The location is excellent — just a short distance from the ropeway and the sightseeing cruise. You can also take the No. 3 bus from Togendai directly to the hotel, which helped us save money on taxi fares.   There’s a large shopping complex right next door, and I highly recommend the bakery, the staff were wonderful and the pastries were excellent.   We did experience a typhoon during our stay, and a little more advance warning from the hotel would have been appreciated.  However, we were able to leave early enough to avoid and arrived safely at our next hotel.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Okada for 2 nights for our honeymoon, and it was a truly wonderful experience. • Honeymoon Surprise: The staff provided excellent service and even prepared a thoughtful welcome gift for our honeymoon, which made us feel very special. • The Room & Amenities: Our room was spacious, spotless, and very quiet. The highlight was definitely the private open-air bath in the room—so relaxing and peaceful. We were also pleasantly surprised to find complimentary skincare sets and facial masks provided in the room. It shows great attention to detail. • Dining: Both the breakfast and dinner buffets offered a wide variety of delicious options. • Location: Getting to the train station is easy with the shuttle bus that runs on a reliable schedule. If you prefer to walk, it's a pleasant 19-minute walk.

This hotel is a bit far from the station, but thankfully, they offer a shuttle bus service every 20 minutes. Just make sure to check the schedule. The hotel itself is a bit old but kept very clean. The set dinner was decent, and the breakfast buffet was just average. If you're not too picky, it's a fine place to stay. The outdoor hot springs are fantastic, with five large and very comfortable pools. Next time, I might just come for a day trip to use the onsen, as that would be even better value for money.

Great hotel! I like the environment and service. Their children's yukatas are very beautiful. I booked one night with two meals. The food was very good, beautiful and delicious. I ate a lot, but the wine and drinks need to be paid separately, but the price is reasonable. The plum wine is delicious. My parents like it very much. They said that staying for one night is too little. The room we stayed in was very large. We had 3 tatami mats for 3 adults and 2 children. There was also a small room with two beds for each of us to sleep separately without affecting each other. There was also a room dedicated to suitcases and yukatas, which was very convenient. There was an indoor hot spring in the room, which could be filled with water by itself like a bathtub. I think I could soak my feet at night, but there was no need. At first, when I booked the hotel, I thought it was a courtyard hot spring where I could take pictures. I was disappointed when I arrived at the hotel. It was actually an indoor bathtub. Fortunately, there was a public hot spring next to it, which was very convenient. It was just like taking a bath in the room. It was just a few steps away, but I couldn't take pictures. There was no scenery. This hot spring hotel is in the Japanese courtyard style. It looks good to take pictures. You can take beautiful pictures in your own room and courtyard. It's very photogenic! Although the language communication is all in Japanese, they will use their mobile phones to translate for you, so you can understand it better.

The hotel is located in Sengokuhara, Mt. Hakone. Located on a mountain road, the brand sign is not obvious. It is dark and the street lights are weak and you can't even see the hotel's sign! I can’t even see the hotel when I reach my destination via navigation! It took me two trips to find it. The South Building is easier to find, but the North Building is really hard to find. After finding the sign for the North Building, you have to turn into an alley and then up a small slope to find it. Because we stayed for two nights in a row, there was a problem with the hotel's check-in tablet, and the staff spoke Chinese, English, and Japanese. The parking space of the North Building is not in front of the door. We need to take a detour and walk up the mountain. It is dark and there is no car light to pedestrian. They insist on asking us to park the car in this parking lot 15 minutes away. It is too dark and too dangerous. I request We parked in the unloading area for one night and didn't find a parking lot until the next day. We felt that it was dangerous to our safety. Unless it was in broad daylight, there was a lot of noise. For about two hours, the hotel staff did not allow us to park and called twice. Went to the room to find us, the trails they provided were even more impossible to walk at night. The next day we took a day trip, which was also dangerous. After walking for a while, we encountered a deer, which put us in a dilemma. Very angry about the parking issue. Other than that, the hotel room was ideal. The equipment is complete, but the on-site environment is a bit far from the photos. The hot spring is just a bathtub, and you can adjust the hot water temperature by yourself. 🤣🤣 Overall review: 👍The room is comfortable and well-equipped 👎🏻 Regardless of the parking space, you need to walk on unsafe roads for 15 minutes 👎🏻Road signs are not clearly displayed 👎🏻The hot spring water feels like constant temperature tap water Figure 1: A small hotel name sign on the road up the mountain Figure 2: The hotel improves parking lot signage Figure 3: A trail provided by hotel staff behind a house without street lights Pictures 4 and 5: We were looking for a parking lot in broad daylight and encountered a deer. Figure 7: Large hot spring bathtub Picture 8, 9: Overgrown footbath Figure 10, 11, 12: Indoor layout Figures 13 and 14: The hotel’s roadside sign Just think about it, it is very difficult to find your hotel destination in the dark night without street lights or clear instructions and relying only on navigation. The hotel is located in a very secluded mountainous area. I stayed in an open-air hot spring villa with a large courtyard, and soaking in the hot spring was incredibly relaxing and wonderful, whether it was cloudy or sunny, day or night. The courtyard was beautiful on rainy days. The entire villa area was almost completely silent; aside from occasionally seeing people at mealtimes, I barely saw anyone else, which was very pleasant. The hot springs were also excellent, leaving my skin feeling smooth and moisturized. The room had a living room with a fireplace and a Bluetooth speaker, making it spacious and warm. This was the hotel's biggest draw. However, some small details were lacking. Some villas don't have parking, like mine, and walking to the parking lot was quite a trek. The bathroom area wasn't well-heated; the shower and toilet rooms were very cold unless the door was left open. The hotel's toiletries need improvement; the cotton pads were unusable, of very poor quality, falling apart into shreds when I tried to wipe my face. The bedding was also quite mediocre, not comfortable at all, and the mattress felt saggy. However, the linens were very clean and fresh, which was good. Cleanliness was so-so. Both the hot spring pool and the shower room, being made of wood, are prone to mold, and the hotel should clean them more thoroughly. The Kaiseki dinner was very ordinary. The taste and ingredients were unremarkable, though the price was also reasonable. There's no need to eat the hotel's Kaiseki if you have other options. The service was decent. They thoughtfully sent champagne for our anniversary, which was a nice touch. Check-in and check-out were handled in the room, and other services were quite proactive.

I first stayed at this hotel last year and was very satisfied with the service, environment, and convenient transportation. When I visited Hakone again this year, I chose to stay here a second time. The half-board plan (one night with two meals) was an excellent deal, especially since there aren't many dining options in the immediate area.

This is a satisfying ryokan that made me spend a very happy time in Hakone! Located right in front of the bus stop, it was good for tourists to visit Hakone Pass. I moved to the dormitory and it was just good - there is a convenience store on the walking street, so I bought a lot of food after check-in and ate it ㅎㅎ When we walked up from the entrance, the staff came out to meet us, so we felt welcomed from the beginning. Although it was a traditional hotel, we liked the clean rooms rather than being old. Especially the outdoor open-air bath was really the best !!! On the first evening, we used a public open-air bath, but there were few users, so we could enjoy it quietly. I'm happy! I want to go again because I have a review ㅠㅠ There are not many reviews of this ryokan, so I was worried when I made a reservation, so I write down the reviews hard. Although the price is expensive, I recommend it because I think it is a place that is worth it :)

Hi everyone, It was very beautiful place to stay, very peaceful, clean and comfortable. Large room, beautiful view and onsen was very good. To those not travelling by car, you need to get a bus Hakone freepass to get around. You can purchase it online, this is a big help. One of the biggest problem was when we arrived the bus station at bus stop no. 252 ( Sengoku-kogen), we called the hotel to arrange to be pick up from the bus station no. 252, we have terrible language problems. They don't understand where was bus stop 252. They don't recognise there is a coffee shop, Lawson and little police station. Finally we have to pull our luggageas all the way to the hotel. Majority of the road was uphill and very little lighting ... Near bus stop number 252, you can see Lawson, a coffee shop and little police station. On the second day, the shuttle bus service took us out to the musuem. We walked back from the museums, it took about 90mins to walk back to the hotel. We were told the bus ticket have to purchase at the counter Tokendai. We were stucked in the hotel for two days, because we really don't know where to apply which bus tickets. On the third day, the hotel shuttle took us to another musuem, we were very thankful a lady from a musuem inform us we can get the ticket Hakone free pass online. On the fourth day, we just realised Tokendai ( cruise) very close to the hotel. Luckily we managed to get around for the last day of our stay. Overall we enjoyed the stay. The receptionists were very polite and tried to help. We have communication breakdown, they were continually apologises. Big thank you for the trip.com to solve the problem.

Overall, my stay was very satisfying. The hotel environment is quiet and comfortable; the moment you walk in, you feel a sense of relaxation, making it perfect for a weekend getaway. The room was clean and tidy, with a cozy atmosphere, and the bedding was soft, ensuring a very comfortable sleep. The hot springs are definitely the highlight of this hotel. The water is clear, and the temperature is just right, leaving you feeling completely relaxed after a soak. The different pools are also thoughtfully designed, with unique characteristics for both indoor and outdoor options. The outdoor hot springs, in particular, offer a truly delightful experience in a natural setting. Service also deserves praise. The staff were friendly and patient in answering any questions, making me feel well looked after. All in all, it was a very relaxing and pleasant stay. If I have the chance in the future, I would definitely consider coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking to rest well and enjoy some hot springs.

I stumbled upon Odakyu Hotel de Yama through a Hakone travel guide on Xiaohongshu. After planning my Hakone itinerary, I decided to book a two-day, one-night stay with breakfast and dinner. The hotel itself is a resort destination. My stay coincided with the Emperor's birthday three-day weekend in Japan. By evening, I noticed all the room keys were out (picture 6), indicating a high occupancy rate. I barely encountered any fellow Chinese travelers, just one ********* couple; most other guests were Japanese on vacation or Caucasians. Most of the hotel staff's English was quite basic. I'd recommend using a translator if you're not fluent in Japanese. For instance, the staff member asked me about 'dinnertime' five times before I understood what they were saying. (⦁֊⦁꧞) The two meals included in the package require you to reserve your dinner times. One evening, I had a reservation for 7:45 PM, but I still had to wait. I was a bit annoyed, wondering why I had to wait when I had a reservation. I ended up waiting an extra 10 minutes, which is why I can't give a full five-star rating. Everything else was excellent. There's an ice machine and a washing machine on the first floor. The onsen (hot spring) layout was also very well-designed. While it's not sourced directly from Owakudani, it uses water from Lake Ashi, leaving your skin feeling smooth after a soak. The open-air bath even has a cherry tree—I can only imagine how beautiful Hakone would be during cherry blossom season! Oh, one more thing to complain about: there's no hairdryer in the room. As someone with bangs, this was inconvenient. Every morning after putting on makeup, I had to go to the large public bath to dry my bangs. The hairdryers there are Refa Pro, which are a bit heavy. The toiletries in the public bath are DHC, but the ones in the bedroom are from the French sea salt series, which are also very good. Other than that, there's really nothing else to complain about. (⌯'ㅅ'⌯) Honestly, I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Hakone. There's a shuttle bus to Moto-Hakone Port Bus Stop 6 every 20 minutes. There's also an Odakyu bus that departs from the hotel entrance at 12:00 PM, heading to Shinjuku. Hotel de Yama is the first stop, but it takes at least 3 hours to get to Shinjuku after making all the rounds.

The biggest advantage is probably its proximity to Yumoto Station. You don't even need to go upstairs from the second floor; just walk to the end, turn left, take the elevator down, walk forward, turn left, and you're there in two minutes. 1. I planned to explore Hakone during the day and knew I'd miss dinner, so I only booked breakfast instead of the half-board option. That turned out to be a great decision. I definitely got back to Yumoto after dinner service had ended. The breakfast looked beautiful in photos, but it was hard to eat. There wasn't really anything appealing; just a bunch of miscellaneous small dishes and pickles. 2. The private onsen needs to be booked in advance, but it was just okay. 3. If you have a lot of luggage, staying in Yumoto is more convenient for check-in, and there are other restaurants open at night. If you're traveling light in Hakone, I'd probably choose Gora, book dinner at the hotel, and explore the various museums around Gora. For a day trip, you don't need to see everything; just pick one or two places you like.

The location was out of town so not so many shop around the hotel and you have to take a tram to town to get groceries etc. Buffet breakfast was nice so dont hae to stress. Private Onsen was great but need more instructions especially english. There was a shuttle service but no way to communicate with them unless you have a local sim. It was great stay but you need to be prepared for some logistics and walking or plan ahead with food/snacks etc.

Very good service for an affordable price. I stayed two nights in female dormitory, the bed is spacious even the top one,I was provided with towels and a kimono-style robe, which was very comfortable. There are two private onsens in the inn, you can reserve any of them the day before. Also, there is a small kitchen with cooks, you can order a breakfast and a dinnir a la carte, which is very convenient. The only downside is that you have to bring the luggage uphill when checking in, but it is not a problem when checking out because there is a free transfer provided each morning to the Gora station.

This was my second trip to Hakone, and since I was traveling with my 70-year-old parents, I chose Hakone Yutowa Hotel for its convenient location. The hotel is only 400 meters from Gora Station, about a 7-minute walk on flat ground. It's also super close to Gora Park, though that involves an uphill climb. We stayed for three days and two nights. Breakfast and dinner were both buffet style with unlimited drinks and alcohol. They offer afternoon tea from 3 PM to 7 PM, and an evening bar time from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM. After soaking in the hot springs, complimentary ice cream and milk were a lovely touch. Everything was absolutely wonderful; I'm so glad we chose Yutowa Hotel.

I would recommend everyone to experience this ryokan at least once. A huge room with a kitchen, dining room, bedroom, bathroom, toilet and a hot bath. There is no window in the room with the bath, but because the bath is hot, you don't feel the coolness, but you can enjoy the views of the mountains. Dinner and breakfast - my respects! Gigantic and filling, but in the Japanese spirit. Fans of continental breakfasts in regular hotels will be sad. The staff is friendly. They try to speak English. It is not always possible to understand each other, but they try very hard! A special plus for this!

The experience was even more stunning than the pictures online, truly feeling like a Nordic forest retreat. Location: After getting off the bus, there's a bit of a slope to climb. You can call the hotel in advance for a pick-up at the stop, and they also offer a drop-off service to a nearby bus stop after check-out, which is excellent service. Environment: Being deep in the mountains, it genuinely captures the essence of a forest vacation home. Everything is wonderful, from the buildings connected by wooden walkways to the open-air staircase landscape and the forest cafe and reception area. Each room boasts an independent window view, and even the hot spring pool offers great scenery. Breakfast is plentiful, and the coffee and ice cream from the mini-fridge are complimentary. There's also a DIY tea-making station. Upon check-in, they thoughtfully discuss your itinerary, making it easy for them to pick you up at the bus stop when you return in the evening – very considerate.

When choosing the Hakone Hotel, I was struggling for a long time and finally chose the ”Shanjiazhuang” without a single comment. I found this place and stayed in a panic, but it didn't disappoint. Next, I will talk about my own ”heart journey”, ”hotel address, ”hotel facilities and check-in experience” of my own reservation, hoping to help everyone who is also entangled. 1. My journey: I knew how expensive hotels are when I came to Japan during the cherry blossom season, so I searched it with the mood of trying it out. The price of hotels near Hakone before and after Qingming Festival is basically around 2500-3700 (for 2 people without tax). Of course the expensive ones will not be mentioned. Then when I looked at the price, I found this ”Shanjiazhuang”. The price was more than 1,700 including tax. I was more tempted at that time. Only then did I find that this hotel did not have a review, and there was no stay. There are few comments, and there are no real pictures in the comments. This made me feel a little bit at a loss. During the time of hesitating and wandering among the alternative hotels, the price of the 3 alternative hotels either rose to 5000 or there was no room type that I wanted to live in, but nothing changed at Shanjiazhuang. Decisively booked with the photos given by the hotel official. 2. Hotel address: The address is easier to find. After getting off at Hakone-Yumoto Station, you can find it by searching for Yamazhuang or Yamagaso in Google Maps, which is quite accurate. Just see the sign of ”Xianjing” in Picture 1 and Picture 2. Figure 3 is the gate of Shanjiazhuang. If you arrive before 3 pm, the door of Shanjiazhuang cannot be opened. At this time, you don’t need to knock on the door or shout, just go to the front desk of the ”Xianjing” hotel next to you to check in and store your luggage ( Their two hotels are one, Shanjiazhuang is a very Japanese-style hotel, and Xianjing is just like a normal hotel). 3. Hotel facilities: After entering the villa, a large cherry blossom tree and Japanese garden view came into view (Picture 5), a very Japanese sense of sight. At this time, the panic in my heart has disappeared, and I entered the room again. The scenes I saw made me feel that the price is worth it, and it feels good to be a guinea pig. When you enter the hotel, there will be a Japanese grandmother who will follow you and introduce you to the usage of various facilities (if there is a little brother who can speak Chinese in the small partner hotel who can not speak Japanese), then I will introduce it as a grandma first: in the hotel There are 3 places for hot springs, one is a family-style private bathing room, which can realize the mixed bathing of the whole family (it should be noted that if there are clogs outside this room, you must not go in. Because someone else is already bathing in it (Picture 9); the other is an indoor large bath, where men and women are bathed separately; the last is an open-air bath (for men and women, the open-air bath is only for women on the day I arrived, while men are It can only be soaked the next day, and the opening hours are from 6 in the morning to 12 in the evening). After entering the room, my little Chinese brother helped us make the bed, while the Japanese grandmother served us 2 cups of freshly brewed tea and introduced us to the usage of various things in the room. I won’t go into details here. Anyway, the various facilities in the room are attentive and considerate that you can't think of. By the way, there is also a bathtub in the room to soak in (Figure 4). 4. Check-in experience: pure Japanese-style service, pure Japanese-style room, full of Japanese-style experience. When we booked the room, the room rate did not include breakfast and dinner, so we added a kaiseki dinner for 2 people (10,800 yen per person). The whole Japanese service is very comfortable, but the taste of kaiseki is Chinese. I really can't eat it. ps. There is a delicious curry restaurant 300 meters downhill from the hotel, you can try it.

This hotel is a paradise in the mountains of Hakone! Traditional style of the rooms - it feels like you are living in a Japanese family. We were prepared a traditional dinner, which was served in our room. It was very tasty and varied! The hotel has 3 onsen: 2 - private, 1 - public. We visited only the private ones (you need to book a time in advance at the reception upon check-in, the visit time is 30 minutes). It was wonderful! The hotel also provides a transfer from and to the nearest train stations. The rooms are clean, cozy, we slept on tatami under soft blankets. The hotel has a relax room. With massage chairs and a very quiet atmosphere. We stayed in this room after visiting the onsen and got great relaxation. And you are also given national clothes for rest and sleep. It is very beautiful and cute. Breakfasts were also in kaiseki style - varied and unusual. The hotel staff is very kind and friendly. this hotel allows tattoo baths. great experience, thank you very much! want to come back again!

Positives 1. Large spacious and clean room. Certainly an upgrade from the smaller Tokyo city rooms we were in. 2. The medicinal tea bar was a hit with our group and an interesting touch to the hotel. 3. The public baths (onsen) were well maintained and clean. 4. The hotel provides yukata robes that you can change into. 5. Breakfast and dinner were decent and necessary judging by the limited number of eateries in the area. There is Gora Brewery just behind the hotel and a Daily Yamazaki convenience store just 1 min walk. 6. You can get to Gora Park in 1 min. Tips to get from Gora station to hotel and vice versa 1. Walking. The steep slope is really not for the faint hearted. 2. When you get off at Gora, hop onto the Tozan line from Gora and get off at Koen Shimo (1 stop). It is covered if you buy the Hakone Free Pass. From Koen Shimo, it is a straight walk to the hotel. Much easier than climbing the slope. 3. Hotel shuttle. From Gora station exit, turn right and you will see an underpass. Go through it and this is where the shuttle picks / drops. We didn’t manage to find out how to get the shuttle from Gora station, but from the hotel - you should book the shuttle in advance as it can get full especially during check out time.

It's very good, and it's Japanese style. The Shinjuku Highway Bus goes directly to [Sengoku Plateau]🚉. When you get off the bus, you can see Lawson and walk six or seven minutes to the door of the hotel. If you want to book a taxi for the next day, you have to book it in advance with the hotel front desk. They are full in the morning. In the afternoon, the hotel's shuttle bus will take us to the next hotel (not far away, 2.3 kilometers, within ten minutes). There are only 24 rooms in total, because there are a maximum of 12 tables for each meal. I called the front desk at 18:00 and said that we might be 10 minutes late. We were directly arranged to have dinner at 19:45. The Japanese set menu was served one after another, and the service was particularly good. Very delicious too. We arrived in the room in the evening and it was very warm. They had turned on the air conditioner in the room in advance. It is really cold in Hakone at night during this season. I relaxed as soon as I entered the hotel. After soaking in the hot spring, turn off the air conditioner. Why is it so hot after soaking? Eat and sleep. It was originally a public bath, but maybe we went there late, and it became a private bath at night and during the day. The men's and women's baths change in the morning and evening, and the large bath has an open-air bath.

I spent a wonderful night here during New Year's Eve. The waiter barely understands people and foreign languages, but he is friendly and good at communication. I booked a public bathroom first, but then I changed it to a private bath when there was room. My satisfaction improved a lot! The hotel is very close to Hakoyō-Yumoto Station, and the taxi cost was less than 1,000 yen. I first stayed at this hotel seven years ago and absolutely loved the lush green golf course and the peaceful comfort of the open-air rotenburo. I chose to stay here again this time, despite being well aware of the inconvenient transportation. I decided to make a compromise; I took a taxi for check-in and arranged a private car for check-out, so I didn't have to rely on the hotel's somewhat limited transportation options, especially since their shuttle only goes to a particular bus stop. Upon checking in, I was delighted to find that the overall facilities hadn't been scaled back. The courtyard was also filled with numerous lilies, their subtle fragrance perfuming the air. Our butler, Yamaki, spoke good English and was very pleasant. Although she was a newcomer with only a year of experience, she made us feel incredibly welcome and at ease. This time, in addition to the yukata provided in the room, I also rented a beautiful patterned one, which was very similar to the one I wore at Sensoji Temple – that made me really happy! Last time, we had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel, but my child wasn't particularly fond of the dinner, so this time we only opted for breakfast. The breakfast spread was remarkably similar to what it was seven years ago, and it still maintained that wonderful sense of occasion.

I was quite worried before my visit, having seen many mixed reviews online. However, I decided to stick with this hotel, primarily due to its excellent location very close to Yumoto Station, which makes getting around incredibly convenient. Upon arrival, I personally found it to be excellent. First off, the room was very spacious. Although the amenities were a bit dated (still using traditional button switches instead of a modern key card system), the vintage charm of this traditional Japanese-style room was actually quite nice. Secondly, staying in a room with a private outdoor onsen at the foot of the mountain during summer, I was delighted to find no mosquitoes. I only spotted one unidentified bug on the day I checked in, and never saw another insect afterwards. What's more, the onsen water was continuously circulating, so the surface was always clean with no debris. Enjoying a hot spring bath at night while stargazing was truly blissful. The breakfast and dinner portions initially looked small, served as individual dishes, but by the end, I was completely stuffed and couldn't finish it all! (𖦹.𖦹) Finally, the overall service was impeccable, from the check-in process at the front desk to the staff attending to us during breakfast and dinner.

Hakone Flower Hotel is a superb Japanese-style hot spring hotel. From booking to check-in, the hotel called three times to confirm the check-in, serious and responsible. On the day of check-in, when you walk into the hotel, you are surrounded by enthusiasm, and the waiter helped disinfect all the suitcases, very careful. Breakfast and dinner are rich and delicious, different every day, and full. No private soup room was booked, but the public soup pool was also great, very quiet, and there was a hot spring pool dedicated to soaking feet. The hotel displays detailed design everywhere, the service is very good, from welcoming to delivering guests are polite and thoughtful, will stay again ~
