I really loved the spacious Suite 1665, especially having a small kitchen in the room, which was super convenient.
The only thing that bothered me was at checkout. I asked a slightly overweight porter with black-rimmed glasses to help me call a taxi. While we were waiting by the road, he saw a white car approaching. Recognizing the driver, he immediately prioritized helping that guest, leaving us standing there. Later, I went into the lobby to find him and saw him helping the people from the white car with their luggage. I personally saw him put their luggage into the white car and collect a tip from them. The Royal Garden Hotel is right in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. I first stayed there back in 1999 when I visited Hong Kong, and I remember thinking how beautiful it was, especially the rooftop pool – absolutely stunning! The hotel's atrium restaurant, with its soaring, open-plan design spanning over ten floors, was also impressive. Cordis never disappoints me. It is my third time to stay at this hotel for business trip.
All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Cleaning team also does an excellent job. On 14 May I was working in hotel in afternoon, the cleaning team asked me carefully if she could clean the room. I said yes of course. She did it very efficient and provide me with a mouse pad as she noticed that I didn’t hv one with a laptop on .
I was too busy to say thank you to her, if hotel could see this, please do give her good performance rewards.

Overall, my stay was quite good. Before checking in, I'd seen reviews online mentioning that the facilities were a bit old, but I actually found them to be perfectly acceptable. The only minor issue was that the air conditioning made a noticeable sound when running, but I found it tolerable. The room size was quite spacious, and the layout was very practical. It was also very clean. The service was polite, and they even accommodated a request I made when booking. When I checked in, I asked for a room with a better view, and they immediately upgraded me to a higher floor. We been staying at this hotel on at least two previous occasions! On the whole, we had not been disappointed！
The facilities are good but mostly dated. The cleanliness is generally quite good standards. The staff are very helpful and pleasant; the services are prompt and responsive.
The location is unquestionably excellent. It is closed to all public amenities, eateries, department stores and public transport. The tram stops are right in the front of the hotel!
We enjoy the great deal for being a “long stay”. Apart from getting a good price, we received a fresh fruit plate, free drinks in the fridge, daily free soup and desert treats and one off free laundry. And the best of all is the free airport shuttle bus dropping us back to the airport!!!

We checked in at the hotel and expected the room to feel clean and comfortable. However, we were met by a room that didn't feel very clean. The wallpaper on the looked a bit loose in the seems, color was coming off on the edge of the ceilings and the carpet on the floor had some visible dark spots/stains. The bathroom floor also had dark stains/spots and the shower was pretty hard to operate as it was a bit difficult to turn off. The bathroom sink seemed a little clogged as water ran down very slowly. We also noticed some hairs on the floor of the bedroom that wasn't ours.
We were three people sharing a room and it got a little cramped. Two is better to not feel like it's too small. We paid around ~1020 HKD per night for the room which felt a bit expensive considering the condition the room was in.
The location was great though and the staff was nice. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the metro and travelling around the city is easy. It is also close to restaurants, shopping and convenience stores.
I would recommend staying here if you don't mind your room potentially being a little bit unclean or at least feel that way.DariTHB 1,387

I booked two nights here at almost 500 per night, after carefully selecting it from an online platform known for its 'great value for money.' Overall, it had its pros and cons.
**Location:** This is definitely its core strength. You can walk to all sorts of tea houses, dessert shops, shopping, and supermarkets that Tsim Sha Tsui has to offer. Pretty much every place we spontaneously tried nearby turned out to be highly recommended by others. Public transport, needless to say, is easily accessible.
**Service:** We checked in on a non-holiday, arriving around 12 PM, and were able to check in smoothly without having to wait until 3 PM. The front desk staff and guiding personnel were all very polite and always smiling.
**Room:** We booked a 20-square-meter king room. Generally, it wasn't particularly spacious; you couldn't open a 20-inch suitcase on the floor, but it wasn't cramped either.
**Facilities:** This is where I felt they really fell short! First, the elevator – you have to wait a long time. There's only one elevator going up, so it genuinely took 5 minutes every time. For going down, there are two or three elevators, but only one goes directly to the ground floor. Another incredibly frustrating design was the motion-sensor light at the entrance. You couldn't manually turn it off, and it would periodically switch on automatically after we'd turned off all the lights to sleep! My child had just managed to fall asleep, and then suddenly was woken up by the bright light – it was beyond annoying! Eventually, around 1 AM, I had to go to the front desk for help, and they found an engineer to remove the motion-sensor light from our room. If your room also has a motion-sensor light at the entrance, I strongly advise asking the front desk to remove it proactively upon check-in. Otherwise, after a full day of activities, having to deal with this in the middle of the night is truly exhausting!DariTHB 1,984

This was my first time staying at this hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui. The service at the front desk, in the lobby, and in the room was incredibly patient, warm, and attentive. It felt like the occupancy rate was high, and the lobby was bustling. Although I had to wait a bit for check-in, it didn't dampen my spirits at all. The room was spacious, bright, quiet, relaxing, clean, and comfortable; all in all, I really enjoyed my stay! The wardrobe, with its glass and solid wood frame, felt modern yet elegant. The view outside the window was captivating; while not a direct sea view, the distant skyline was impressive, with the scenery constantly changing as time passed. I was thrilled to admire the beauty of Victoria Harbour from such a unique perspective. I was even happy with the photos I took through the glass! This hotel's location is super convenient for us, especially since we needed to shoot some scenes nearby, so it was the most practical choice. However, the hotel room itself is really tiny. Normally, it's priced at around 200-300 RMB, but during the holidays, it jumped to over 1000 RMB – a huge rip-off, in my opinion. The bathroom is incredibly small; the toilet is positioned in such a way that you can't sit on it properly, you have to sit sideways. The room is particularly cramped, and you have to shower standing in the bathtub. The biggest issue was that the curtains wouldn't close completely. We thought we could just deal with it, but then the outdoor lights were so bright late at night that we couldn't sleep. We had to call staff to help us out, and honestly, we barely got any rest that night. On the upside, the surrounding area is very convenient, with lots of our favorite restaurants nearby. It's not far from the Cultural Museum, and you can take the MTR directly to the Art Museum in Tsim Sha Tsui East, so it's easy to catch two exhibitions! Absolutely perfect. Plus, I did some shopping at New Town Plaza in Sha Tin, which has everything you could need! The price is reasonable, and the rooms are quite spacious. Overall, it exceeded my expectations. For a price of 600+ in this location, it's quite good, especially since it includes breakfast and afternoon tea. This Ctrip voucher deal offered incredible value for money. It was Mother's Day on the day of check-in, and although there wasn't any special gesture, the sweet young lady at the front desk seemed to have upgraded my room. It was on a high floor and very quiet, with a spacious room and a large bed. The pillows were also very comfortable – excellent! 👌
First, the positives: The location is superb, the room is spacious and comfortable, and the afternoon tea is better than breakfast. Plus, the 30th floor was a pleasant surprise with drinks, coffee, and toys. Both adults and children were thrilled! On the first day, a toy lost a leg, and on the second day, we found that the hotel had replaced it with a new one – truly fantastic! 👍
Now, for the negatives: The breakfast really isn't worth it; I'd rather book a room-only rate and eat out, perhaps at Sister Hua. The restaurant seriously needs an overhaul, especially since it's on the first floor and the lighting isn't great, which spoiled the breakfast experience. Also, the TV in the room was exceptionally dim. With my aging eyes, I could barely see the screen, and I couldn't figure out how to adjust the brightness, so I barely watched it.

Fantastic location! After getting off the bus from the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge's Hong Kong Port, I took Citybus A11 directly to Luard Road. The hotel is just a 100-meter walk from there. Wan Chai MTR station is only 200 meters away, making it easy to get to Tsim Sha Tsui's Avenue of Stars. On the second day, Disneyland was only an hour away. On the third day, I took the high-speed rail from West Kowloon, which was a convenient 40-minute MTR ride. It was incredibly convenient!
From Tsim Sha Tsui Pier, you can take the Star Ferry to Central, then hop on a Ding Ding tram straight back to the hotel. Travel costs were very low.
There are tons of great food options nearby. I didn't book breakfast at the hotel, but the nearby Red City cha chaan teng offered high-quality and affordable breakfast. Within 100 meters, there's a budget-friendly Wellcome supermarket. Even after watching the fireworks at Disneyland late at night, I could still find char siu rice nearby. Of course, there are also Korean restaurants, two-dish rice shops, and Yang Guo Fu mala tang in the vicinity.
The hotel has a fridge. For this price in Hong Kong, staying in a hotel like this is excellent value for money.DariTHB 1,804

The Grand Hyatt Hong Kong is my top choice when visiting the city. Its location is truly unbeatable, right in the heart of Wan Chai, next to the Exhibition Centre. It's just a short walk to the MTR station, making it incredibly convenient to get to popular areas like Central and Causeway Bay. It's perfect for both business trips and leisure travel.
The hotel has a luxurious, elegant, and high-end business style. The lobby is clean and refined with a premium feel. Check-in and check-out were very efficient, and the front desk staff were warm and polite. They communicated smoothly in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, offering meticulous and thoughtful service, making the entire experience comfortable.
I stayed in a sea-view room with an absolutely stunning view. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered direct panoramic views of Victoria Harbour's beautiful seascape. During the day, I could take in the bustling city skyline, and at night, I enjoyed the dazzling nightscape—the ambiance was simply incredible. The room itself was spacious and bright, with a well-planned and tidy layout. The soft furnishings were simple yet upscale, and the bedding was soft and gentle on the skin, ensuring a stable and comfortable sleep after a long day of travel or work.
The room amenities were comprehensive and excellent. The high-speed internet worked flawlessly, and the toiletries were of high quality. The bathroom was clean and fresh with a dry/wet separation. The lighting and soundproofing were both very good, providing a quiet retreat despite being in a lively area; I wasn't disturbed by any outside noise.
The hotel's breakfast buffet offered a rich and diverse selection, with both Chinese and Western dishes available. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were authentic. There was a wide variety of drinks, desserts, and special Hong Kong snacks, making for a very pleasant breakfast experience. The hotel also features recreational facilities like a swimming pool and fitness center, perfect for exercising and relaxing in your free time. The supporting services are truly complete.
Overall, my stay was a perfect 10. The hardware facilities were high-end and well-maintained, the service was attentive and thoughtful, and the location was excellent, offering great convenience. It's particularly suitable for couples on vacation, families, or business travelers. It's my first choice when I come to Hong Kong. Both the value for money and the experience were exceptional. The hotel is about an 8-minute walk from Exit C of Olympic MTR station, making it very convenient to get to Hong Kong Disneyland. The MTR station is located inside the Olympian City shopping mall, which is great for shopping and dining. There are also many eateries along the way. Across the street from the hotel, there's a Wellcome supermarket. On several floors of the hotel, near the elevator, there's a free chilled water dispenser. You can buy bottled water at Wellcome, and then refill it at these stations. Just be mindful not to let the bottle mouth touch the dispenser spout for hygiene reasons. The room comes with an electricity card inserted, which keeps the room ventilated. This is handy if you're traveling with others, as it prevents the power from turning off if someone takes the key card with them. The TV works fine, so you can watch it if you have some downtime. The room also has good natural light, although the windows don't open. There's a sofa that can be used to store some items. The front desk staff speak Mandarin and are very helpful. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, about a 10-minute walk from Victoria Harbour. Downstairs, there are tons of popular Instagrammable restaurants. We went during the May Day holiday, and the queues weren't too bad. Victoria Harbour was super crowded, so we went back to the hotel to rest, and by 9 PM, it was much less busy. It was really convenient with kids; the two single beds were pushed together, which was perfect for a family of three. Just be prepared for the room to be small. The subway entrance, Sunset Rollercoaster, and a Rich Ice Cream shop are all right downstairs.DariTHB 2,226

The location is fantastic, with direct access to West Kowloon. I couldn't believe how much bigger the room was compared to chain hotels in mainland China – excellent value for money! A massive hotel right by Tsuen Wan Plaza, with a bus terminus next door and a footbridge connecting to the MTR. There wasn't much in the way of service, but a huge thanks for the unexpected upgrade to a 71st-floor sea view room! The room size is a luxury for HK, although some of the details felt a bit rough around the edges, and the air conditioning was quite noisy at night.DariTHB 2,508

This was my first time staying at Metropark Hotel Mongkok, and initially, I was a little nervous. But after checking in, it completely exceeded my expectations. First, the transportation is very convenient. I took the A21 airport bus directly to the hotel. The airport bus stop is a bit of a walk, but the hotel is very close to Prince Edward MTR station on the Tsuen Wan line, making it super easy to get to Tsim Sha Tsui and Central. Second, there are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The Harbour Restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel is excellent, especially the dim sum for breakfast – it's really good and affordable. There are also many cha chaan tengs (tea restaurants) around the hotel, like Yuen Long Bing Sutt and Cafe de Coral, which are very convenient and reasonably priced. I also spotted a Hunan restaurant called 'Xiang Ye' which looked good, with dishes averaging around 69 HKD, which is acceptable. Shopping nearby is also easy. Third, the hotel service was good. It wasn't like some online reviews that claimed they weren't welcoming to mainland guests; I found it quite pleasant.
I didn't find the room soundproofing to be an issue, despite what some rumors say. Perhaps it's because their standard rooms used to be suites that were converted, with a locked door in between. I wasn't bothered by any noise this time.
The hotel provides power adapters, which was very convenient. I wish I had known – I wouldn't have bought one [facepalm emoji].
The room isn't huge, but it's perfectly acceptable, and the bathroom setup is just right. The air conditioning also worked well.
Overall, while it's not a luxury hotel, for around 400+ HKD during the off-season, it's absolutely fantastic value for money. All my friends agreed it was a great choice.DariTHB 2,343
