The hotel opened in 1969 and was renovated in 2011. To be honest, it is indeed a bit dated, but considering how space is at a premium in Hong Kong, the room is actually quite spacious. Facing the main road, the room was surprisingly quiet at night with virtually no noise.
Despite its age, the service really deserves a special shoutout! We arrived quite late, and the young lady from Hunan at the front desk who checked us in was extremely warm and welcoming, speaking standard Mandarin the entire time. After checking in, when the housekeeping lady saw the bottled water we bought, she kindly told us that buying water outside is expensive and that if we needed more, just to let her know and she would bring it to the room (and sure enough, from the second day onwards, we had two extra bottles of water in our room [Shy][Shy]).
We booked the breakfast this time. The selection isn't huge, but based on Hong Kong standards, I'd still recommend getting the breakfast included.
All in all, the hotel is definitely a bit old, but the location is truly great. If you prioritize location, price, and room size, it's worth a try~

During the National Day holiday, I chose the Regal Hotel for my trip to Hong Kong. The hotel has this vibe of economic boom from the 90s, full of old money Western style. The location is superb, very convenient for food and drinks, with a McDonald's and tea restaurants right downstairs. There are also many bus stops nearby. The MTR station is a bit further to walk, but 6-8 minutes is acceptable. The room isn't very big, and the air conditioning is cold enough, though the temperature control isn't on the wall. The facilities are a bit old, and there are no toiletries for children. Most of the hotel staff are polite and smiling, which is great. Great experience! The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk to Jordan MTR station. I was surprised by the low ratings I saw previously, as I personally think it meets a 4-star standard. For this location, a price of around 400 is definitely worth it, and it's certainly better than a guesthouse. The room is a bit small, but it's very clean, and there's no old hotel smell like some mentioned. The air conditioning runs 24/7, which is very comfortable. I recommend a nearby place called ”Milk Ice Room”; the food is delicious and affordable (50 RMB per person is enough for a meal, and you get free milk tea with a main course). It was a newly renovated king room on the 16th floor, clean and new (though unfortunately, the new carpet had already been stained by a previous guest). Housekeeping cleaned daily, and water and toothbrushes needed to be provided by myself, but everything else was there. The front desk service was normally very good. The location is convenient, right in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, making it easy to find food and go shopping. I had a very enjoyable stay at the Empire Hotel on Kimberley Road in Tsim Sha Tsui. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the surrounding area, with plenty of shops, restaurants and transport options nearby.
The room was comfortable and nicely presented, and the view was a real highlight. Service was also good, with staff providing a pleasant and professional experience throughout my stay.

Location: I visited Hong Kong many times, but this was my first time staying at Sai Ying Pun. It’s a very good location for one who wants to try authentic local food. The hotel is on the same level and quite close to the MTR station. Great for travelers with suitcases. Also, there is a tram station just down the block.
Hotel: The stay was decent. There is a Small swimming pool on the roof (only works in summer) And a very small gym. Also, they have free luggage storage. But even though there are four elevators, I’d always have to wait. The lobby is on the fifth floor, and there’s a decent lounge area with fast WiFi and normal tables (good for work). I did not try their food, I think it is much better to go down and eat in local cafes. When leaving hotel one can turn right, pass the McDonald’s and turn right again in the end of that block. There are a couple of authentic local tea shops and a nice local bakery. Uphill and on the way to the metro there are western style cafés.
Room: As always in Hong Kong, the room was small. I had two suitcases and only the smaller one could fit on the floor. Mini fridge had two cans of complementary water, but only for the first day. And the only water machine I could find was in the gym. Also, hotel does not provide toothbrushes and etc. They are sold separately in the vending machine on the Ground floor. The room seemed clean, the water pressure was very strong, And staying on the 27th floor I had a very good view. But some towels were not clean. Also double bed was 2 single beds combined.
Staff: first thanks to Yoyo, Hemmit and Gary for helping me combining 2 of my bookings so I didn’t have to change my room. The service was good. The staff was helpful, the cleaners were invisible and came every day. Security were nice too.
Overall, as I said, it was decent. But not a stay to remember

The hotel is about a 10-plus minute walk from Mong Kok MTR Station. Light sleepers should think twice before booking; we stayed on the 7th floor and were woken up by the MTR sounds a little after 5:00 AM—it felt like the trains were running right underneath us! The location is superb—just a few minutes' walk downstairs to large shopping malls, and there are plenty of popular, highly-rated eateries nearby (I recommend Red Island Cafe and Golden Phoenix Restaurant). If you forget any travel essentials, there's a Miniso within a 5-minute walk. It's also very close to the MTR station. If you arrive at West Kowloon and plan to spend your time eating and shopping in Hong Kong, this hotel is super convenient. We checked out at 12:00 PM, left our luggage at the front desk, went on another shopping spree nearby, and then came back to pack our bags before heading out. It was so nice not having to carry heavy bags around! However, please note that the hotel doesn't provide bottled water, toothbrushes, or toothpaste, so remember to bring your own. We stayed in room 4303 on the first night. The room itself was okay, with no strange smells, and the bedding was odorless as well. However, the bathroom cleanliness was very poor; there was mold on the floor and ceiling, and the shower area had rusty iron spots right where you step. For the second night, we were originally assigned room 7009. The moment I opened the door, I couldn't stay for even a second—the smell of mold was overwhelming. We were then moved to room 5503, which still had a moldy odor, though thankfully the bedding was fine. The bathroom, however, was even worse, reeking of urine. The place was packed with tour groups, and since I really didn't want to hassle with moving again, I just disinfected things myself and went to sleep. The hotel's location is great. The cross-border bus from Shenzhen drops you off right next door, and it's near Prince Edward MTR Station. If you're heading to Macau, the pick-up point is right across the street. I booked this hotel specifically for its excellent location.
The hotel isn't new, and the rooms are small. The beds in the twin room are about 1 meter wide. They don't provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, or bottled water, but slippers are available. There's a universal adapter in the room. The soundproofing isn't good; this time I was given a connecting room with a wooden door separating it from the next. The hygiene was decent.
