Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, beim Frühstück hat man eine gute Auswahl an frischen regionalen hochwertigen Lebensmittel. Die Zimmer sind gemütlich und ebenfalls sehr sauber. Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Auto sehr trocken und sicher in der Tiefgarage des Hotels. Aufzüge sind vorhanden. Die Lage des Hotels ist super U-Bahn und S-Bahn und das Stadtzentrum/Altstadt sind zu Fuß gut erreichbar. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Generell: Tolle Lage zentral, gut fußläufig vom Hbf erreichbar (sonst auch per Bus) und gut für die besuchte Veranstaltung ”Am Hawerkamp”. Geräumiges und ordentliches Zimmer. Bett gemütlich. Bad schlicht und ausreichend. CheckIn online, jedoch nicht wie angekündigt Zugangsdaten automatisch erhalten, Hinweis, dass es diese nur an der Rezeption gibt. Auf Nachfrage war der Grund ein Zimmertypwechsel (nicht schlechter, sondern minimal besser), das drückte das Erlebnis etwas, da die Hoffnung war, dass es nicht notwendig sei vor Ort einzuchecken / zur Rezeption zu gehen während der Veranstaltung. Insgesamt jedoch ein gutes Erlebnis und für das Folgejahr bereits wieder gebucht.

This hotel should only be used as a bed to sleep in, and expect absolutely nothing more. I was here on business with 2 colleagues and everything was just ok. The people in the reception looked very bored and uninspired. The room was alright, the housekeeping a joke. To be fair, with 3 people living in a very small room the space to clean was minimal as we had to spread quite a bit, but I expected the trash bin to be emptied. The beds were alright and the AC excellent, which was good as the area around the hotel tend to be noisy as it is in the industrial part of town. There was a brief 10 minute walk to the s-bahn. Very few choices of food around the area. The breakfast, that they priced up from €7.50 to €10.50 from our booking to arrival is not worth the money, with a very bad selection and slow refill when there is a lot of people. The Frau managing the breakfast area was very agressive in asking for room number and barely understood any English making it very awkward. If you are a smoker, then the smoking area outside does not have any place to sit. Unless there is no other available places to stay, I will not come back to this hotel.

Budget hotel: clean rooms, everything what you need is there, but don't expect any luxury. As the rooms are quite large, it would be good to have a larger desk and proper chairs (instead of simple stools). There should be a place to put shower towels in the bathroom. Breakfirst is good for a budget hotel: coffee is good and they have fruit salad. I wish they would also have croissants. Overall, I can recommend the hotel for a few days in Aachen. The location is very convenient.

Fabulous. Service. Location. Family owned and restaurant/bar and most importantly team I visited the hotel during my summer tourism in Germany. Bruhl is a beautiful central city indeed. The hotel is amazingly located between a tram line and Sbahn lines which are both centrally located within 4/7 mins walk to the central main station of koln. Several banks, shops and also the Main Street next to the palace are next to the hotel. I woke every single morning during my stay of 9 or 10 nights to walk to a different coffee shop including the fabulous hotel restaurant to get my morning coffee. I had to change rooms during my stays because I extended my stay but In both stays they offered me better and better rooms. My last room had a garden/terrace. I wish they took better care of that terrace though but still it was so good and hospitable. My dog loved it 😂 restaurant food is amazing. It is a family business where you will defo see the manager and his wife wir their dogs ❤️❤️😍😍😍 and you must meet the amazing ayoub at the reception when you check in or out or even during your stay. Booooook. Visit the hotel and enjoy

Chambre propre, cependant dans nos 2 chambres des odeurs d'égouts dans la salle de bain venaient chatouiller nos narines, ça restait léger mais bon. Matrlas ok et pression de l'eau dans la douche bien. Le gros +, c'est le check tardif grâce à la machine dans l'entrée via le code reçu. Point négatif : nous sommes arrivés tard le soir après que la réception ait fermée et le lendemain matin nous souhaitions prendre le petit déjeuner sur place et impossible car soit disant ils reçoivent de la nourriture en fonction du nombre de personnes qui ont réservé. On nous a recommandé un resto/café nommé ”Alex” en centre ville (10min à pied) et il y a un buffet à volonté pour à peine 2€ de plus que le petit dej de l'hôtel et bien plus varié et meilleur... Donc si vous avez du temps le matin allez y (ouvre vers 8h30). Personnel agréable. Parking sur place dispo non sécurisé (places limitées malgré tout).

Location was great. Close to Dusseldorf and Mochengladbach. An U-Bahn stop right in front of the hotel. (On-site) Parking was not an issue. If you want to check in during off hours a phone call/email to the hotel, or self check-in at the front door of the hotel will do. Room was clean and quiet. Yes it's tiny but sufficient to a family of four in our case. While the name B&B suggests bed and breakfast, breakfast is not automatically included but can be purchased on site. We got yelled at because we did not purchase the breakfast in advance and walked in and prepared to eat. But wait! We can always pay for it (later) right? The staff covering the morning shift that day argued that people 'normally' pay first (so we can not pay later?!).... To be fair, the dining area was clean and welcoming, and foods were there. There were no signages saying that 'Please pay before sitting down' or 'Please wait here to be seated'. The bottom line is that there is no reason to yell at people, right? Just kindly put down a bill/check would yield a much better travel experience. How did the entire incidence end? We paid for the breakfast, but did not eat anything. We walked across the street and had our breakfast at the McDonald's. We did not want to eat in a bad mood with a rude staff.

Das Alte Backhaus selbst ist am Alter Markt, unser Apartment war auf der Apostelstraße. Das fanden wir nicht schlimm. Auch das war mal ein altes Fachwerkhaus, wovon man aber leider nur innen noch etwas ahnen kann. Das Treppenhaus und die Fassade ist leider alles andere als stilecht, das sollte man rückbauen. Unser Apartment (für 3 Personen) lag im Spitzdach und durchaus urig. Es führt eine platzsparende Treppe hoch, ist also nichts für jedermann, maximal ein kleiner Koffer kommt hoch. Für uns war es problemlos, wir kennen eine solche Treppe. Im Apartment kann man die Fachwerkhistorie noch nachvollziehen. Das ist sehr nett. Allerdings geht komplett längs durch das Apt. eine Stufe. Vielleicht ist ein Rohr drunter oder ein Stahlträger für die Stabilität? Das macht es etwas kompliziert sich zu bewegen. Das Doppelbett fanden wir bequem, nur der Blick zum Fernseher war doch arg weit weg. Wir würden das Bett auch eher in die Ecke Richtung Fernseher rücken und vielleicht noch eine kleine Couch reinstellen wo jetzt das Bett steht. Die Sessel rund um den Frühstückstisch waren bequem und hygienisch, da sie auch Leder oder Kunstleder waren. Soweit alles gut. Das dritte Bett sah sehr gemütlich aus, allerdings darf man nicht sehr groß sein, um dort reinkrabbeln zu können. Das Bad war groß und hatte ein Fenster. Super! Leider hätte man das Bad so gestalten können, dass eine Dusche und Badewanne hinein gepasst hätten. Momentan muss man in die Badewanne rein kraxeln und die Duschabtrennungsscheiben (Plastik) sind schon ziemlich runter geranzt. Ist auch nicht so ganz unkompliziert sie richtig zu positionieren. Die Küche ist geräumig und reicht vollkommen, aber die Ausstattung ist mäßig: 1. Es gibt keine Spülmaschine (!). Wie ich das übersehen konnte, ist mir ein Rätsel, ich buche normalerweise kein Apt. ohne Spülmaschine. Sie hätte dort auch problemlos Platz, eine kleine schmale wäre dort perfekt. Ohne Spülmaschine hat man das ungute Gefühl, dass die Vorgänger vielleicht nicht gut abgespült haben und das Geschirr nicht sauber ist. Da man nun mit der Hand abspülen musste, gab es aber noch nicht einmal ein Abtropfgitter. 2. Der Herd hat noch die alten Kochplatten, also weder Ceran noch Induktion, wovon die vorne rechts nicht richtig funktioniert und nur lauwarm wird. Allerdings schön, dass es einen Backofen und eine Mikrowelle gibt. 3. Das Geschirr war sowas von nicht vollständig: Es fehlten Frühstücks-/Kuchenteller, von den Pasta-/Suppentellern waren nur noch 2 da, es gab nur noch 2 Eierbecher, keine Eierlöffel, keinen Salzstreuer (abgesehen davon auch kein Salz, was man durchaus erwarten kann) und keine Kaffeebecher. Es gab zwar ca. 10 Kaffeetassen aus dem Restaurant, aber wer trinkt daraus noch Kaffee? Wir haben also vom Geschäft gegenüber 2 Kaffeebecher aus dem Angebot geholt und diese dort gelassen. Vorwarnung: Die Dachfenster gehen zum Irish Pub nach hinten und am Wochenende ist dort Party. Es ist extrem laut und man sollte die beiden Fenster zum Schl

voller Mülleimer vom Vormieter, verschmutzte Kaffemaschine, verschmutzte Toilette, Staub in Ecken am Bett, tote Insekten in Fenstervorhängen, Reklamation wird max. zur Kenntnis genommen, liebloses Frühstück von 6.30 bis 8.30 Uhr (für Handwerker i.O., aber im Urlaub?)

Wow, what a find this hotel is. The rooms are exceptional, very comfortable beds, great showers etc. Most importantly, the staff are so helpful. Sonja was so helpful when I had an issue with my dates ( my fault not theirs) , organized an excellent alternative for me that far exceeded my expectations. Amazing hotel would recommend. Also Great Location close to City Centre and transport links. 10 out of 10 from me
