Linda and Steve were very hospitable, and we felt warmly welcomed throughout our stay. The breakfast was excellent, and the room was clean and well-maintained.
However, the soundproofing could be improved, so I would recommend bringing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Our room also had a noticeable chemical odour, possibly from the wallpaper. Although we were told it had been there for years, the smell was quite strong, so this may be a concern for guests with asthma or sensitivity to scents.
The location is very convenient, around a 10-minute walk to the city centre and also close to the seaside.
Overall, it was a good stay, and I would still recommend it.

It was a lovely hotel to stay at ver. Very welcoming lovely couple who run Porth Lodge hotel provided a lovely breakfast and service. All staff helpful and provided a very high level of customer service.

Absolutely lovely place to stay. The cooked breakfast made to order was delicious and the hosts excellent. It also has a beautiful garden you can wander around. Bed was very comfy and location was excellent for what we needed it for. Would happily stay again!

Excellent location with stunning views. Very helpful & friendly staff. Lovely room well equipped with complimentary beer, tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Dinner was first class. I have no criticism at all. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

OOlly reviewsThe Farmer’s Arms is a lovely pub with 4 rooms above. We had a twin room for 2 nights and was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the internet was virtually non existent, which I understand is an issue in the area, but caused difficulties planning. Car park is huge and great location as 5 minutes drive to Harlyn Bay Beach and 10 minutes to Padstow. Highly recommend The Golden Lion for dinner in Padstow and absolutely was a hidden culinary gem 💎

GGuest UserThis B&B is perfect for travellers with cars. The hosts are incredibly warm and friendly, and I felt very welcomed here. Although the house is near the road, it is surrounded by a garden, making it very quiet. The rooms are well-equipped, and the bed is very comfortable. Breakfast can be customised to your liking and is absolutely delicious. Highly recommended to everyone!

^^w^I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The owner was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and I loved waking up to the beautiful sea view in the morning. The breakfast was delicious and had a great variety of options. While it's not right in the center of town, the bus stop is just a few minutes away, making it very convenient to get around.

SSkyshanghaiAbsolutely perfect in every way. We booked the sunset room and it is modern, spacious, clean, and has a great view out to St Ives bay. The bed and pillows are comfortable, great bathroom and shower, and a nicely equipped kitchen with Nespresso. We really savored and enjoyed every minute staying in the beautiful room. Highly recommended.

UuulissiThe hotel is in a nice area, but unfortunately the parking situation is terrible. There is one parking lot on a sloped road, owned by the hotel, which we didn't know we could use. Very narrow road and not clearly signaled. The other parking close by only accepts coins. Room is small. Worth staying for the view, which is breathtaking.

NNilda GodinWe love our little cabin at the Pirates Inn, we got everything we need, plenty of coffee/tea/hot chocolate, even a mini fridge. The wifi signal is weak in the cabin but was very strong inside the pub though. Good food, very clean accommodation ,great location, highly recommended when you are visiting West Cornwall.
