Situated at the Danube Bike Trail / EuroVelo 6 and 10 km away from the city of Tata, the Bike Stop Duna is next to a forest. It has a 600 m² big private garden with barbecue facilities, a closed bicycle storage. The units are fitted with modern or rustic-style furniture and some have a kitchen and a living room. Some units also have cable Tv, a washing machine and ironing facilities. Have a rest after a nice bicycle tour in a real farmhouse in Dunaszentmiklós! Dunaszentmiklós is a tiny village in the western side of the Gerecse Mountains, where the descendants of German settlers live, who immigrated here in the 18th century. They have kept their traditions till today and still wear folk costumes on days of certain feasts. During the last years more houses have been bought by Austrian, German and Dutch citizens. It is very much worth to leave the cycle path „Eurovelo 6” and try some of the local dishes and wines. The village is part of the historical Ászár-neszmély wine region. Here operates one of the most known Wineries of the country, that sells yearly more than 1 million bottles of wine. It is advisable to visit the local wine cellars too, where you can taste the fresh wines and see more than 200 years old vine presses. The accommodation will be offered in a comfortable farmhouse with roof-beams, made of adobe, but the possibility to set up a tent is also given. Our farmhouse suits the German „bett&bike” requirements.

Bike Stop Duna is located on the northwestern region of Hungary, in a small town named Dunaszentmiklós only 3km far from river Danube where the name of both the town and the accomodation originates from. The town was founded by german settlers in the 18. century. In the village the only flat ground is the football field, as it’s situated in the middle of the undulating Neszmély wine-country where grapevines conquered all the hills. Around here every house has a wine cellar underneath hoping to welcome winelovers. The building of the accomodation was built in 1924 for the local cooper and his family. Since then the huge house got split up to 3 apartments, that welcomes guests sinceThese Apartments are capable of accomodating bigger families as well. The neighborhood offers a lot of activities, for example the local Landal Duna Residence welcomes our guests in their spa. If you like natural water, River Danube and Lake Öreg are in the vicinity. In addition the village has 3 wineries, 3 restaurants, 2 lookout-towers and a fishing pond as well. Keeping animals here is very popular, most of the neighbors keep chickens, ducks, turkeys, sheep, cows, and horses. 10 minutes from the accomodation along the pastures, there are exciting paths that lead us into the forest. Bike Stop Duna also offers Bbq opportunity and outdoor woodstove tub, and much more for the guests.
