I wish I had looked closer at the pictures. There are no western toilets, only squat. Also, everyone smokes in the bathroom and they need a better ventilation system. I'd go in for 45 seconds to pee and stink like smoke for 30 minutes as if I'd smoked a cigarette myself. The common area is nice, but not heated... so bundle up at night. Overall, a nice hostel... but I wouldn't stay here again since there are no western toilets.

I stayed 4 nights in 4 female bed room and it was lovely. My roommates were very respectful. The room had everything I needed, except for towels, but you can purchase disposable ones from the machine and they were okay! The terrace in the hostel had such a cool vibe. I ordered food online and then ate it on the terrace which was lovely. They also organise different kind of events, karaoke nights, movie nights etc. So cool! The hostel is easy to find, the metro station is literally 4 minute walk. There are plenty of shops Family Mart, Lawsons and pharmacies nearby. A lot of places to eat within walking distance. Really convenient location! I cycled only 20 minutes to West lake scenic area and then walked back which took me less than 50 minutes but was a pleasant and easy walking route. I would highly recommend staying here if you are on a low budget and don't mind sharing space. Bathroom was gender mixed but very clean and no issues there! I'd stay here again definitely! 😍

第一次住青旅，環境還可以，就在車站地鐵站旁邊，離西湖兩三站路，裝修風格是偏古風古韻，大堂休息看電影辦公都很方便，房間是上下鋪，床位裏有小枱燈拉簾，放東西的地方有密碼鎖和監控，洗手間和沖涼房是公用的，但都挺乾淨的，第一次住的朋友青旅裏沒有洗漱用品和毛巾要自帶，前台小哥哥也都很有耐心，在杭州這個價位環境服務真的蠻值的～

青旅位置很好，距離地鐵站很近。在大廈8樓，房間很大，住的比較舒服，衞生不錯，每個小房間都獨衞，住的很舒服。每個人按金100，第二天退。青旅提供牙刷牙膏毛巾衞生紙，拖鞋不是一次性。不愧是杭州排名靠前的青旅，在住過的青旅裏排前列，下次會再來。

前台辦事挺負責的，很貼心，剛來辦入住的時候還會幫我拎行李到三樓，因為他們家總共才三層，所以説沒有安裝電梯，這點也是可以理解的，一樓的設備很多也很齊全，很多東西都是免費提供的，比如説沐浴露，洗髮膏啊等等，一樓大廳的設備也很多，有飲水機，販賣機，微波爐都是可以免費使用的，剛來那天洗漱用品沒有帶全，前台有洗漱包，一毛錢一天非常划算，可以來試一試販賣機，也有一次性的浴巾和毛巾等等，還有一些飲料泡麪的，可以晚上吃個宵夜啥的，然後就是房間的衞生阿姨收拾的挺乾淨利索的，房間的衞生也是定期打掃的，床單被套也是一客一換，我下的訂單是四人間給我分配那個宿舍的舍友，素質都挺高的，大家也都能聊的來，基本上都是同齡人都是年輕人人很不錯548797

We stayed for one night and booked because the location is just perfect! We enjoyed our time and night exploring the pedestrian area and loved it. The service was great and everyone was friendlier and helpful, would recommend. However, the hostel facilities are a bit outdated, specially in the room. We had only a one person cover for a bed of two what made the night a bit cold for us and there was a less pleasant smell always coming from the attached bathroom that we couldn’t get rid of , but overall a good quality/ price stay.

JJovin GohIt's a youth hostel, so I guess you get what you pay for-- general pros and cons of a general hostel/capsule hotel applies. '
However, I must say that the service is exceptional.
Initially, I didn't quite enjoy my stay there due to the corridors smelling abit weird, (plus Hangzhou having a general issue of cigarette smoke being almost everywhere) plus all the other cons of a typical capsule hotel, plus other miscellaneous issues such as the laundry machine also relying on having an alipay WALLET, (which, as a foreigner, I did not have) or my locker having issues, but, the staff at the hostel were exceptionally friendly and helpful, helping me find a way to get my laundry done, my locker fixed. I felt that they knew what they were doing and I didn't feel too worried my entire time there.
The staff also were very helpful in giving directions, recommending food, and even with parcel collection. I am not really quite sure what else to say here, I just felt that they were super friendly and sweet, and willing to help with any queries I had. (Once again, thank you so much, if you guys are reading this, I literally cannot stress this enough, thank you, thank you for helping me, thank you for making my stay so enjoyable)
Additionally, the vibe there is amazing. Although I came with low expectations and no intention to make friends, I somehow (credit to my travel buddy) made many new friends and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them, speaking with them, overall interaction. The whole place just has this nice chill vibe and they've also got lots of games there, and a nice pool table. The concert night was quite fun too, got to see a nice rendition of 后来 (刘若英/Rene Liu) by one of the performers.
Perhaps I'd do it again.

FFischyThere was a very cute cat! The hostel staff were very welcoming and accomodating and helpful. The Hostel was in a great location, with a convenience store in the same building and a metro station down the road. Rooms were very well kept and everything was tidy. The toilet seats were heated and fancy. Definitely reccomend!

And the owner bring me to Hangzhou police station to get permit stay eventough my document all clear. Over all, the room is pretty good just for sleep. And the most important one, it's pretty near to west lake with this budget.

This is a dormitory style homestay with shared room and bathroom. We stay in a private room with a private bathroom and toilet.Has hot water with good pressure. Non smoking room. Room is clean but mattress is really old and should be replaced. The tatami layout is nice with a simple sitting area.Recommend for owner to install more clothes hanging hooks for convenience. No tv in room.
They have a large common area with regular and hot water dispenser. Many table and chairs for use.
Location is far from city centre but within 10km by metro. Same distance to the west lake

MMatevzThe location is a bit far from the nearest metro station, but still in walkable distance, you can also take a bus. Don't be fooled by the word family in the name; this is a big hostel occupying a whole apartment building on its own.
Not much English is spoken by the staff, but they nevertheless took me to a good restaurant in the middle of the night.
The room was nice, but the bathroom needs some maintenance work to be done, also no toilet paper.

BBy002007Very good location; friendly front desk staff. This hostel has been around for a long time and is showing its age. I was surprised to be told I had to pay for hand soap given that I was staying in one of the single rooms and was paying over $40 a night. I don't think that's ever happened to me while traveling in China. Toilet paper and towels were also very threadbare. The hostel is probably best for solo travelers looking for super cheap bunks - at the single-room price point, there are many options in Hangzhou that are more modern and provide more amenities.

OOliverThe public living room was nice, with a sweet cat. The staff checked us in early which was nice and appreciated. The room was relatively clean and comfortable. The bathroom was not ideal, with the showers over squat toilets, although they do try and keep them clean.

PPengguna Tetamu房間環境挺好，最重要的事情説三遍，位置非常好，距火車站步行25分鐘左右，坐公交1站地，去各個景點坐公交都超方便，去西湖，靈隱寺，宋城，太子灣公園，凈慈寺，錢王閣，都非常方便，走到站點最多的也就7分鐘，馬路對面就是南宋德壽宮和WE1314公交站發站，旅店門口就是胡雪巖故居後院，西北第一個十字路口就是清河坊街，總的來説，個人認為住這裡是不錯的選擇，值得點贊，推薦！

MMichael & Nici Exploring China and BeyondWe visited the Daisy Youth Hostel, on our most recent trip to Hangzhou.
The owner and front of house, were friendly and we were well received.
The check in service was prompt.
Unfortunately, the room was not made up, when we were taken to our room.
Regardless, ”It was however dealt with, and it was cleaned while we waited”.
Sadly, we still noticed embedded dirt, this needs to be addressed by the management.
As no visitor would like a filthy environment.
The location is prime, especially for visitors whom wish to visit the scenic areas.
We extended our stay with another day, as we were still exploring the area.
Unfortunately, our room was not serviced, even though we paid for another night.
Overall, the Daisy Youth Hostel has lots of potential, and could be ideal for visitors to the area.
