There are also plenty of food options nearby. The front desk lady [name can be added] smiled kindly, and prepared a welcome drink when checking in quickly. When she learned that we were celebrating our anniversary, she took the initiative to upgrade the room type. The details of the service are perfect💯! The room design is very appealing to me - the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offer a panoramic view of the city night view, the smart home system is easy to operate, the bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas and equipped with high-end toiletries, and the bedding is so soft that it feels like sleeping in a cloud. Even the picky husband praised it as the most comfortable night's sleep in recent times🌙 The dining experience must be emphasized! The local specialty pastries cooked for breakfast awaken the taste buds, the macarons for afternoon tea are sweet but not greasy, and the cocktails in the executive lounge are very creative. The butler service is even more thoughtful. Every time you enter and exit, the staff will take the initiative to greet you. Even the children's play area has a dedicated person to take care of it, so it is completely stress-free for families with children👶 The location is also very convenient, a 5-minute walk to the subway station, surrounded by popular restaurants. One of the best youth hostels in Shenzhen, run by a lovely family from Henan Province. I stayed for about a month and had a marvellous time. Upon arrival, the owner helped me carry my large suitcase up the stairs. The check-in process was very easy. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: — Friendly towards international travellers, unlike many hostels in Shenzhen. — Well-equipped kitchen available for guests. — Laundry room with a dryer (using a dryer is uncommon in China). — Slippers are provided. — Spacious public lounge. — Supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, pharmacies, a printing shop and a small park in the vicinity. — Close to the metro station, about a 10-minute walk. (Fumin Station, Line 10, Exit J2) Cons: — The biggest challenge is using the squat toilets. Though the janitor cleans them regularly, they can still get dirty easily. Many foreign tourists are not used to them. — The public shower rooms are a bit small for taller people. Many facilities are QR code operated. Ask for help if you are not used to Alipay or WeChat. Overall, it’s a great place. They are very serious about running the hostel. I would definitely recommend it.

This hotel is located in Zhuhai's Xiangzhou District. It's just a bike ride away from the Zhuhai Grand Theater (Sun & Moon Bay) and other attractions. Bus route 2 is very convenient, and it takes about 30 to 40 minutes to get to Gongbei Port. The staff attitude was also pretty good. Everyone should definitely give it a try!

Staying for a day occasionally is fine! But this time, due to the typhoon, I stayed for 5 days, and the service was less than satisfactory. The sheets and blankets weren't changed, and I didn't even ask for them. Conserving resources is everyone's responsibility. However, when I asked the front desk to change the bath towels once and the disposable toothbrushes twice, the staff were very reluctant to change them or just provided them, which I personally find unacceptable. It's normal for bath towels to get wet or fall on the floor in public restrooms, and it's reasonable for guests to request changes. Moreover, I only asked the next day, and they immediately started making it seem like we had to stay at least three days before they would change them. So, since I paid the same room rate, shouldn't I be able to change rooms every day? Service needs to be warm, not contrived. They were also very reluctant to provide the disposable toothbrushes. Disposable toothbrushes are disposable, and not being willing to change them daily is really unreasonable. During my 5-day stay, I didn't request changes to the sheets and blankets, only one change of bath towels, and three toothbrushes. I hope the owner will pay attention to these situations. I've liked your hotel so far and hope it continues to improve. Please take note of these problems.

This year, I started trying to travel alone to many places, and that led me to try out youth hostels. This time in Guangzhou, I stayed at Mu'an Xiaoshe. My first impression upon arrival was how thoughtful the owner is. The first floor has all sorts of considerate amenities, like sanitary pads and hair ties, which left a great impression. It's also well-designed with clear separation between quiet and active areas; luggage storage and washrooms are outside the sleeping quarters. Even when people wash and blow-dry their hair at night, you can't hear a thing in the sleeping area. Everyone in the room is very quiet. The location is quite convenient too; most attractions in downtown Guangzhou are within a 30-minute subway ride. There are also plenty of food options nearby. Near the subway station, there's a restaurant called 'Ben Tudou Fast Food' that I found to be very affordable and delicious. Downsides: You can hear noises from other residents in the complex, but I guess that's unavoidable unless you stay in a high-rise loft hostel. Compared to that, I prefer staying in a more established, two-story place like this hostel. The rooms are a bit small and the aisles are narrow, but I usually just draw the curtain and stay in my own little space, so it doesn't bother me much. Overall, I slept quite well. I initially booked for one night and then extended for another. I really appreciate that this place emphasizes quietness in the rooms and prohibits eating inside. Everyone's activities are kept outside, so the rooms are not noisy and have no strange smells, allowing for a good night's sleep. I'm heading near Chimelong next and need to wake up early for the zoo, otherwise, I would have loved to stay here longer. Time to try my luck with another 'mystery box' hostel! haha

The guy at the front desk was super nice! He even upgraded my room. You can also get laundry pods, earplugs, and dental kits from them. They even provide complimentary water upon check-in, and free slippers to use during your stay. The bathroom here is surprisingly a wet/dry separation, unlike some hostels I've stayed in where you have to worry about falling into the shower drain. Plus, the toilet is pretty fancy – you flush it hands-free with your foot, and it has a heated seat and disposable seat covers that you can just flush away after use. Overall, the environment is great, and the vibe is really good too. In the evenings, you can hang out in the common area and listen to foreigners chatting at rocket speed – if your foreign language skills are up to par, you can even join in! Though sometimes they can get a bit loud when playing pool. You can also enjoy a drink or chat with fellow Chinese travelers. My roommates were very friendly too. The room was quiet at night, not noisy at all. And there's a dedicated makeup area for women. I didn't ask if there's a communal drying area for laundry, though. They also have a group chat where you can find people to share meals and hang out with. If you're interested, you can join it – the front desk will invite you when you check in.

Before staying here, I saw a lot of recommendations on Xiaohongshu, so I stayed here for one night. When I arrived, I found that there were two flights of stairs to climb and there was no elevator. The short-haired lady at the front desk was very nice and helped with the luggage, but my personal experience was not very good. It was very noisy living here, and the door opened and closed very loudly. At one, three, and five in the middle of the night, there were people rummaging through suitcases. I couldn't sleep well and my sleep was fragmented the whole night. I paid extra to stay in a 10-person room. The occupancy rate of the hostel was very high and many people came to stay. The 10-person room was basically full. It happened that the corridor was spraying air freshener that night, and the smell was so strong that I kept coughing.

Convenient location & friendly, helpful staff. Lots of bus connections and lots of eateries around. They have a lovely 5th floor lounge area with a coffee machine with real beans! (I didn't have the time to use it though cos was in a bit of a hurry.) Sorry forgot to take pics of the hostel but did of the food around the area.

This was my first time staying at a hostel, and Ping Xing Hostel gave me a fantastic experience – it's my top choice for watching shows on the weekends! The front desk ladies were incredibly kind and friendly. They even thoughtfully prepared an accommodation kit for guests, including a toothbrush, earplugs, disposable cups, a towel, and slippers. I was assigned a bed near the door this time, and it was super quiet at night, even with earplugs in. However, I might have pulled my curtain too tightly, and with the thick duvet, I woke up twice feeling hot in my shorts and t-shirt. Other than that, everything else was great. Highly, highly recommend!
