Stayed total of four nights. Great location, max 10 mins walk to the big shopping malls for elecotronics etc. Friendly staff. Relatively quiet so easy to sleep. Major negative are the bathrooms: one big room with toilet cubicles, urinals, showers, and sinks all in a small space. Only one western style toilet that was often dirty and missing toilet roll and it was a cramped cubicl. The showers are frosted glass doors that don’t offer 100% privacy and no space to hang your towel/clothes. Also, sometimes no soap to wash hands in bathroom.

The hostel is friendly and there are lots of international guests. The staff were kind and very helpful. The location is great, with popular tourist sites nearby - maybe 20min walk from Beijing street and a 5min walk to the metro. The female 4-bed dorm room was nice, with a spacious and comfortable bed with a curtain, and a cupboard/locker each, and aircon. The lobby/communal area was colourful and quirky with a pool table and lots of chairs and tables. It was a bit messy in some areas with piles/boxes around, and the kitchen was quite dirty and always had food and dishes left out and in the sink so I didn’t feel very comfortable using it. There is a washing machine to use for a small fee but when I was there most of the coat hangers and places to hang clothes were taken so it can be difficult to find places to dry clothes. Overall it was good but I wish some of the guests would be more thoughtful and respectful of others.

This is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. It’s super clean and quiet, and there’s a full wardrobe where you can store all your belongings and even hang your clothes. The shower rooms have shampoo, shower gel, and hair conditioner. There’s also a small shelf next to the bed inside the capsule where you can put all the things you need. Downstairs near the reception, there is a common area where you can work and hang out with friends. It’s very convenient because the rooms themselves are completely quiet and nobody talks there. The only downside is the small number of showers, but I think if you avoid the “rush hour,” there will be enough for everyone. Thank you so much — I really loved this hostel, and I even made a Chinese friend there.

Bilik yang sangat sesuai untuk individu introvert. Persekitaran keseluruhannya bagus, kecil tetapi lengkap. Saya terkejut dengan tempat mengecas/peti keselamatan yang disediakan. Untuk harga ini, memang hebat! Akan terdengar bunyi pintu dari bilik jiran atau mungkin terganggu sedikit jika mereka bising, tetapi tiada apa yang boleh dicela. Terletak di stesen MTR Caihong, jalan lurus ke kiri menuju ke penginapan, dan di seberang kanan adalah Xihualu. Persekitaran sekelilingnya sangat hidup dan saya sangat menyukainya. Jika saya datang ke Guangzhou lagi, saya pasti akan menginap di sini lagi. Komuniti di tingkat 2 agak bising, tetapi sebagai seorang introvert, saya lebih suka tinggal di dalam bilik. Semua kakitangan sangat mesra ☺️☺️

LOVED this place. Feels like a real hostel, very social atmosphere. Many foreigners and friendly Chinese who spoke English. Most staff spoke english, which is a rarity in China. Comfortable bed with light and a plug. Good hot water shower. Washing machine available for 5 yuan. Full kitchen, even has an air fryer. Location is near one metro station, though biking is the easiest to get to Futian center. It's in a residential super-complex, so there's several grocery stores and restaurants, plus a large and lively park full of residents. A great window into Chinese daily urban life.

The hostel is close to the metro station. The welcome package was thoughtful. The bed was clean, spacious and comfortable. The common area was good, although some people seemed to claim their spot and were there all the time. There were plenty of cleaning staff. There was a dedicated makeup area which I was thankful for. I've stayed in many hostels recently, in which getting into the bathroom to take a shower has been near impossible due to people taking hours to do their make up in there! Someone used this area to conduct a series of TEFL lessons online. They were so loud. I could hear every word from my bed in the dorm. The soundproofing wasn't that great. The showers had a wet dry divide with a curtain separating the dry area from the shower. These didn't fully close. Unfortunately, the cleaning staff would fully open the curtain into the shower room which took away a sense of privacy from the corridor. What was the point of the curtains in the first place if they are just being kept open? The beds in the dorm had no hooks, so everything had to be sat on shelves. You are provided with a big, fluffy bath towel to use during the stay. However, there is no-where to put it after using it. There is a drying area for clothes on the balcony which was packed with clothes. I didn't see anyone hang their towel out there. Most people had it laying on their bed which is not hygienic. There are a lot of stairs to carry heavy luggage up! All in all, I enjoyed my stay. However, it was lacking some practical aspects that would have otherwise made it perfect.

I stayed here for 2 nights, before heading to Chaozhou. Should I visit Shantou again, I will book here again. I'm very impressed by the hospitality, cleanliness, thoughtfulness, and panoramic view it offers. The location is a stone's throw from the ”influencer street” with cool, quaint cafes, interesting speciality restaurants and shops. It's not far from Longyan South Road, the famous food street. I was able to join other travellers to eat at some highly recommended restaurants, which would otherwise be challenging foe a solo travellers. The lady boss treated everyone like family and I feel the cozy and relax vibe. I would have wanted to extend if not because I already made reservations in Chaozhou. I feel that Shantou people loves their food and certainly takes pride of it. I feel that perhaps you can walk into any eatery and not be disappointed. Shantou is one of my favourite cities in this trip, Shantou being my 2nd of 6 stops. I highly recommend n23.5 degree youth hostel and Shantou to anyone.

This is one of the best hostel i stayed. The common area is bright and minimalist, perfect for digital nomads and solo traveler. The bed is comfy with curtains and mini table. To go inside you have to use the electric key card. So its very safe too. One thing that stands out is how organized and clean everything is. You’ve got personal lockers, a shared fridge, slippers, water dispenser, microwave, washing & dryer machine , super convenient for longer stays. I like the washroom : shower and toilet cubicles with amenities and bidet. And they are so thoughtful to give each guest a welcome kit with toothbrush, towel, mask, and earplug. Other amenities also free. Its about 10 minutes to the metro and 2 minutes to a bus stop. Very recommend
