For the price, it was everything you need! Clean spaces, comfortable capsule bed, drinking water, towels and shower slippers. The location is a 20 minute bike ride away from the ancient city center, but there are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The hostel provides earplugs which significantly increase comfort of sleep, as the floors are quite squeaky. I am very happy with my stay and would come back again!

I came to Datong and stayed here for three days. Downstairs is the antique street of the ancient city. It is very close to Huayan Temple. It is very convenient for shopping and eating. It is a youth hostel run by an old couple with a very good attitude. There are also two big oranges in the store, one is a relative and the other is aloof, which is very nice~

The original budget room we booked that had no window had an overpowering and disgusting smell of cigarette smoke. I asked if we could move to a different budget room as I have a 4 year old child and this would not be healthy for her. The only offer I got was to upgrade my room. As I could not stay in that room with my child I had to upgrade. Some of the staff were friendly and some were very unpleasant. The location was great but the staff and the rooms could be much improved.
