First, let me start with a compliment! The service attitude was exceptionally good! Whether it was asking the customer service小姐姐 for two extra quilts because I'm sensitive to cold, or asking the kitchen姐姐 for a plate to wash some fruit, everyone was incredibly willing to help! No one showed any impatience whatsoever. Everyone was genuinely wonderful, like a big, happy family! Now for the downsides: The secondhand smoke issue is really serious! From the moment you walk in, there are smokers everywhere, and there are ashtrays outside the rooms on the second floor, with people smoking there every day. Of course, I had seen reviews mentioning this before checking in, so I was mentally prepared. Also, the water heater was still quite unstable, alternating between scalding hot and freezing cold. I was practically doing a tango in the shower! Overall, it's great value for money, and I even found a companion. I would still recommend staying at 'Dajiaoshi' if you're traveling alone!

Wonderful place to stay, I love the vibe and energy of the hostel itself. I did not stay enough to enjoy to lovely activities and community but I absolutely reccommend this place. I stayed in 8 women room and I appreciated the cleanliness of the bed, bedsheet, locker etc. That is very important as it is the only space just for you. Bathroom was ok, I did not know it is mixed but I did not have any problem - and it was also clean. I like the option of the restaurant and free tea at the reception. Location is also great! Kunming is lovely and artsy town🫶

First off, the location is excellent! You can walk to the old town, making it super convenient to get around everywhere. The facilities are also very comprehensive, and the hygiene is top-notch. The bed was incredibly soft. There's even a pool table in the common area and a dedicated vanity room for women, among other things – it feels really cozy here. The restaurant on the first floor is lovely; you can gather around the fireplace, which is so warm. I even made some friends here, everyone was so nice. Hope to see you all again next time I'm in Shangri-La!

The location is convenient, close to Dali Ancient City, with complete commercial facilities nearby including restaurants, supermarkets, and various shops. The hotel boasts a strong sense of design, feeling young and trendy, and offers multiple spaces for interaction, communication, and quiet contemplation. It features independent public bathrooms, a laundry room, and a rooftop drying area. The hotel is relatively new, and many details are thoughtfully designed, with excellent amenities and hardware. The staff are warm and sincere. Overall, a great experience.

Hostel located around 2kms from the old town and 1.5 kms from the bus terminal. Bed is big, has a light, socket and privacy curtains. The mattress is on the thin side, mostly the norm in China. Room was relatively clean, though I didn't see any cleaning during my stay. Bathroom has hot water but it can take some time for it to warm. Floor is really slippery when wet. No toilet paper. No cleaning at all during my stay. Big living area and patio in the house. I was there off season so just a few Chinese around, playing video games and watching videos. For the price, it's definitely worth it.

While yes, this is a hostel, I would rather call it a homestay because you’re literally entering the owner lady’s apartment and you either sleep on the living room or in a separate room. It was also hard to find due to its being someone’s apartment. It was definitely a surprise to learn I would spend the evening is someone’s home but I really enjoyed my short stay. The lady was very very friendly and helpful and even spoke some English. The place was clear, however, I visited in November and there was no heating and it was very cold in the room.

This is a detached house located within a residential community, offering exceptional peace and safety. It's conveniently situated for getting around, and shared electric scooters can be parked right outside the community gate. The bedding is high-quality, and for female guests, it's a cute pink set. There are lockable cabinets both inside the room and in the hallway outside. I was really happy to have a balcony to dry clothes, and a squat toilet, which is very hygienic. There's also a small courtyard and a common area on the first floor, plus a cat! Since it was off-season, I basically had the 6-person dorm all to myself. I stayed for half a month because it was so comfortable.

Cai Caijie is very enthusiastic and attentive. Although there are not many exchanges, I can feel her meticulousness. I am very satisfied with the recommendation from eating and playing to the recommendation of the experience. Thank you very much. This is all five stars. The communication atmosphere in the hall is very good, and it can be seen that many people have been here for several days. There is a large yard where you can take a look at the scenery. The bedding is clean and comfortable, the mattress is almost the thickness of the hotel, the bed is also very strong, the bed lighting is separated by wooden boards, there is no direct look at the lamp (I have lived a lot of youth travel all the way, and the details of the lamp are the first). The surrounding environment is relatively quiet, sleep well, there is 🐔 in the morning, from 5 o'clock intermittently to 6 o'clock. It is recommended to give more tips on the room check-in rules. There is a guest mobile phone in the room to brush ** outside, no matter whether it is day or night, the room still needs to maintain a quiet environment. By the way, my room is opposite the clothes drying area, and the lights in the room are not too bright, as shown in the picture. In short, I recommend everyone to live ～～～

It's a hostel with a very homely environment. The manager will invite you to drink tea with him, the courtyard is a very chill area to hang out in and even spend all day to the sound of flowing water and surrounded by plants. There is a kitchen available too, and the manager brings water from the well daily for the use of the guests. The dorm was comfortable and the lower beds have curtains but the upper ones don't. The manager sometimes organises events for the guests, such as the time when we went picking mushrooms and visited a local market from where we bought more mushrooms which were cooked for dinner, all at a very good price. The location is excellent, just 1 minute walking to the south gate of the ancient city. I will not hesitate to stay here again when I come back to Jianshui.

I only stayed one night and then left. During the off-season, for just an extra 20-30 RMB, I could have stayed in a guesthouse with air conditioning and a private room. I've stayed in Hangzhou and Chengdu in 2023 and 2024, and had a great impression. However, this Lijiang branch, perhaps due to too many guests or cleaning staff being overwhelmed, had rather poor hygiene. 1. There were dried-up contact lenses left by the previous guest on the bedside table. 2. Before going to bed, there was a large bug on the bedsheet… it really scared me. 3. The bathroom was a bit dirty, especially the door which looked encrusted, like a public toilet… the water stains in the sink from brushing teeth and washing up hadn't been cleaned in time and looked very dirty. 4. Some of the bedside power outlets weren't working (both the two and three-prong outlets had no power, fortunately, the front desk later moved me to another room). They should really check these. The young staff provided very good service, but the cleaning aunties definitely need to be given stricter instructions.
