GGuest UserI stayed at goSTOPS Amritsar in a 4-bed AC dormitory, and overall, it was a great experience. The check-in was smooth, and the hostel was clean and well-maintained. My dorm was comfortable, with a clean bed, blanket, pillow, fan, charging point, and locker.
The washrooms were clean, though the hot water system in my dorm wasn’t working, but the staff arranged a hot water bath in another room, which was very helpful. The hostel had a quiet vibe since it was a weekday, but I still got to interact with a traveler from the Netherlands. The common area was nice, though the set-top box remote was missing.
The location was excellent—just a 5-7 minute walk from the Golden Temple. The staff was available 24/7 and very helpful. Drinking water dispensers were provided, but only disposable glasses, which was a little inconvenient.
Overall, it was a great budget-friendly stay, and I’d definitely recommend it!

GGuest UserMadpackers Amritsar is one of the cleanest hostels I have stayed in. The service is very good they are able to arramve tours to go see the border ceremony and to other things. It is within walking distance to the Golden Temple which ia very nice!

GGalaTravelerA surprisingly good hostel for a cheap price in Amritsar! It's located on a narrow street, just a short walk from any public transportation stop. A large sign with the name makes it easy to find. The entrance has large glass doors (locked from the inside at night). You need to take off your shoes and leave them in a small hallway (like entering a temple 😁). At reception, you'll be greeted by a very polite and smiling manager, Ram, dressed in Sikh guise—with a beard and turban. The rooms are dormitory-style. I had a mixed-gender room booked (unbeknownst to me), but I paid only 100 rupees extra and was assigned a three-person/bedroom for women. No one else checked in, so it felt like I was in a private room. In the morning, Ram helped me carry my luggage down a narrow street and negotiate a location with a taxi driver over the phone in Punjabi (I'd called an Uber myself), and I left for the airport. I'm very grateful to Ram for his kindness and help. By the way, the hostel is located next to the Golden Temple, a 10-minute walk away. I highly recommend it 💯

LLisaThere is no breakfast. Family rooms can be booked with children. The hotel is well located, 2.5 kilometers from the train station, about 10 kilometers from the airport, and 1.5 kilometers from the Golden Temple. I arrived earlier and paid an early check-in of 500 rupees. The hygiene was ok. I brought my own travel cover. The hot water supply is seriously inadequate. Basically, the hot water can be flushed for 1 minute after 10 minutes, and then hot water is available for another 10 minutes because the water heater is too small. See the pictures I took.
