Our stay in this luxury bedroom suite was a memorable experience, largely due to the exceptional accommodations.
The suite itself was nothing short of spectacular—incredibly spacious and warmly appointed. The layout was impeccably designed, featuring a foyer, a living area, a comfortable bedroom, and a walk-in wardrobe. The bathroom was a highlight, with a separate water closet, a vanity area with a deep-soaking bathtub, and a separate, spacious double shower room. The private outdoor sitting area that led to a huge, rejuvenating hot spring was the crown jewel of the suite.
It's important to note the location within the Dong Feng Yun Scenic Area. A significant benefit is that the hotel provides the scenic area entrance ticket and transport to and from the gate, which is excellent. However, its setting means it is quite far from Jianshui's Old Town and other key locations. This can be inconvenient when you wish to visit other spots or find dining options outside the hotel.
A major logistical issue we encountered was with return trips. When trying to get back to the hotel, most taxi drivers requested a top-up payment, as they would have to return to the city center without a passenger.
Service at the hotel was generally good; the staff were prompt and attentive upon our arrival and throughout our stay. However, we noted a noticeable drop in attentiveness during the checkout process.
A minor point to note is the centralized A/C system, which meant we couldn't control the room temperature individually. That said, the provision of a standing fan was a thoughtful and effective solution.
The food at the hotel's restaurant was acceptable, though it didn't quite match the exceptional standard of the suite itself.
Overall, this is a truly magnificent property for the space and privacy it offers, but its remote location requires careful planning and extra budget for transportation.

Very friendly service, even though our villa is away from the main resort area, the staff went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable. We didn't manage to use the hot spring as the weather was too hot.
Only problem was the stairs are a bit narrow for moving our luggage to the rooms. But rooms are nice and comfy.

I stayed here in the deluxe room with mountain view in Pullman hotel, which is located in the heart of Lijiang city and closed to Jade dragon mountain. Here, the staffs were very kind. They helped us with kindly and immediately when we needed their helps.
If you are looking for peaceful and beautiful hotel, pullman resort and spa in Lijiang is your answer.

Absolutely breathtaking hotel, the sunset view worth every penny!
Stayed here two nights and we find ourselves always wanting to go back to hotel to enjoy staycation than exploring outside. So comfortable and service was good, people are so warm and friendly! The breakfast was good too plus the small thoughts of dessert at night is just lovely.
Special mention to Xiaoxu who made sure everything goes well during our stay. We were very well taken care of!
Highly recommend and looking forward to return again!
This Hotel was absolutely amazing. If I had to say something negative about the hotel it would be that it's not very near the center of the city, but at the same time it's nice to be a little further away because you can calm down. Calm down how? For example with the very exclusive service they offer you. Even at night they were available with their help when I was a little sick. Or you can go into the absolutely amazing hot spring they offer for free for their hotel guests. Or the bath hot spring in your room. Or the nice dinner they offer to guests for a reduced price. It was very comfortable, relaxing and a real vacation. I recommend this hotel very much! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great hotel in a very convenient location. Lots of restaurants nearby as well as a fresh food market. The room was very good but we didn't have a great view. The bath is fantastic, big enough for two people and very relaxing.

I’ve been partly prompted to post this review because I got a very begging message from the hotel asking me to post a “perfect 5 star rating”, which is not entirely deserved. We had a good stay at the hotel overall but it needs improving to live up to what it promises. I have nothing but positive things to say about the staff however, as they were great.
We had a very comfortable bed and a very nicely decorated room. We also enjoyed having a private jacuzzi - well worth the upgrade. Although the bubble function seemed to be deactivated which was a shame. We had a private steam room, which was also great, but it seeped out a huge amount of water onto the bathroom floor, which I nearly slipped over on.
Breakfast is delicious. There’s a fresh noodle station in addition to a huge selection of Chinese and Western breakfast foods.
Hot spring facilities are extensive, but imperfect. The layout felt like a labyrinth. My girlfriend was disappointed to see that the female only section of the hot spring (containing saunas, steam room and baths) was mostly closed for renovation. This was really unfair. Lots of the hydrotherapy pools in the main area weren’t working properly, either.
Similarly, we very much enjoyed the food at the restaurants but they were often closed at short notice, making it hard to make dinner plans. Room service took a while to deliver, and the hotel insisted I pay there and then, not at check out. I found myself grabbing my WeChat pay in my bathrobe, which was a bit awkward.
The hotel is located out of town on an industrial estate, which is fine if you want to stay and enjoy the hot springs and the restaurants, but if you want to get to the main attractions in Kunming you will be spending a lot of time in taxis. It’s not possible to just walk outside along the street and find a charming cafe or restaurant - the hotel is surrounded by wide, busy roads. This makes it more annoying when the facilities you want to use aren’t working properly.
The staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful throughout - the only negative was the message begging for the perfect review.
Overall, the hotel promises a lot, and does a satisfactory job, and is great value for money, but there are lots of small things that add up which take away from this being a real “luxury” hotel.

OOlive GohWhen I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made.
The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car.
When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff.
The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion.
This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time!
One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay.
Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.
BBingbingle、The room was very spacious and well-equipped.
The decor and design were fantastic. The renovation of the historic building is quite unique, and the courtyard is breathtaking.
The housekeeping service was excellent, and any requests were promptly addressed.
The breakfast was also delicious, featuring some unique dishes.
I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yunnan.
GGuest UserThe room was spotless, and I slept soundly. I was pleasantly surprised to find the hotel has three restaurants! For a quick bite, there's the buffet. If you're craving Yunnan hotpot, head to Yiduo Cloud, and for Cantonese or Sichuan cuisine, Xile is the place. They really cover all taste preferences, and the prices are very reasonable. Having hot springs, dining, and accommodation all in one place made for a super convenient and relaxing experience!
WWoshiyewangStayed for 2 nights from June 7-9, 2026. The special package I bought on Ctrip offered incredible value for money! The hotel staff were very attentive; they'd proactively greet guests anywhere within the hotel. The standalone villa was indeed spacious. Although the room facilities are quite old, you can still see the high standards and quality of the original setup! However, for a five-star hotel, providing purified water instead of mineral water for guests felt a bit like cutting corners. Sitting in the small courtyard, enjoying tea and conversation, was truly delightful. The landscaping design, arrangement, and maintenance throughout the villa area are all beautiful, especially the view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the restaurant plaza – it's absolutely breathtaking! The hotel's breakfast selection is extensive, and the quality is excellent, with a beautiful and comfortable dining environment. As a resort hotel, it achieves a high standard and a perfect balance across all aspects, including location, environmental quality, and service level.
MM244286****This guesthouse in Dali is absolutely fantastic! The room was spotless, clean, and tidy with no overlooked corners. The bedding was incredibly soft, skin-friendly, and fresh, making for a super comfortable stay. The whole house is equipped with smart home features, which are simple and convenient to use – a real blessing for anyone who loves ease. The owner was warm and thoughtful, patiently answering all our questions and even recommending some local, lesser-known activities, which was incredibly heartwarming. The location is also convenient for getting around. The overall experience was top-notch. If you're coming to Dali, choosing this place is a no-brainer. I genuinely recommend it to all my friends!
HHenny P AdiHonestly, I rarely post reviews—but this time I really felt like I had to, because this hotel was the highlight of my family trip to Yunnan.
From the moment we entered the hotel gate, we were already amazed. The place is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The staff member who communicated with us via WeChat was incredibly helpful—from arranging our transfer from the station to the hotel, to accommodating my dietary restrictions as a Muslim. They kindly prepared a special breakfast for us: rice noodles with egg, along with sweet potatoes, corn, and boiled eggs. What made it even more special was that everything was cooked by a very warm grandmother. Despite the language barrier, we could truly feel the warmth and love in her cooking.
The cabin we booked was absolutely perfect. It had a spacious yard, a hot tub, and a terrace with a table and chairs—great for dining or simply spending time together with family. Stepping inside the cabin was even more impressive: a large bed, lots of natural light, and equipped with smart home devices. One important detail for us was the bathroom—it had a bidet and a fully smart toilet with remote control. Since the temperature in Lijiang varies greatly between day and night, we were very grateful that the cabin had both floor heating and room heating. The bedroom also featured a large projector, and above it, a sunroof that can be opened—perfect for stargazing at night. It truly exceeded all our expectations.
The hotel area is also next to a very aesthetic café with a stunning view called Yuntian Cafe. For those traveling with family, this place is perfect—the area is spacious and great for kids to explore nature. If you want to go out for meals, Baisha Ancient Town is just a few kilometers away.
What I will remember the most is the kindness of the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly, always doing their best to accommodate every request. Please never change—your hospitality feels just like being with family. Next time we visit Lijiang, we will definitely stay here again without hesitation.

EEka SugiartoI truly want to leave a detailed five-star review for this wonderful homestay hidden inside Lijiang Ancient City, which easily becomes the highlight of my whole Yunnan travel journey. From the moment we booked online until we checked out a few days later, every single link of our accommodation exceeded my expectations.
First of all, the geographical location is unbeatable. It sits in a quiet alley inside the ancient town, just a 3-5 minutes’ leisurely walk away from the bustling main street, waterwheel landmark and multiple local snack streets. We could wander around ancient city lanes day and night conveniently, yet stay away from noisy crowds and loud commercial noises after returning to the courtyard, striking a perfect balance between convenient sightseeing and peaceful rest. The homestay itself is built in classic traditional Naxi wooden courtyard style, with well-arranged green plants, wooden corridors and delicate antique decorations everywhere; sitting in the courtyard sipping local tea while enjoying slow Lijiang wind is such a relaxing pleasure every afternoon.
Speaking of the guest room, it is absolutely spotlessly clean without any dust or strange odour at all. The space is larger than displayed on booking photos, with soft high-quality bedding that guarantees deep comfortable sleep after tired sightseeing around Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and nearby scenic spots. Bathroom supplies are complete, hot water runs stably all day long with strong water pressure, and high-speed stable Wi-Fi covers every corner of the room and courtyard, great for daily work and sharing travel photos online. Many rooms are equipped with private balconies, where we can overlook the layered ancient tile roofs of Lijiang old town, and even catch distant glimpses of snow-capped Jade Dragon Snow Mountain on sunny days.
The 24-hr service is unbeatable too. Our front office lady, Xiao Xiong, is extremely helpful and always anticipates our needs well. I truly enjoyed my stay in BaiyueXiang!
AAnggesangsongjiangShangri-La Impression Tianlu Hotel is nestled between Shika Snow Mountain and Napa Lake, where traditional ******* white buildings blend with snow-capped mountains and grasslands to form a breathtaking landscape. The highlight is the rooftop infinity hot spring, offering panoramic views of the plateau while you soak, though it can be quite windy in winter, so be prepared. The guest rooms combine ******* elements with modern amenities, featuring central heating to combat the high-altitude chill and soundproof windows for a peaceful night's sleep. The service is attentive, with paid shuttle services and customized itineraries available. Breakfast includes local specialties like highland barley cake. It offers great value for money during the off-season, but for scenic rooms during peak season, booking in advance is a must. This hotel is perfect for travelers seeking a unique experience, and having a car makes it even more convenient, as it's only a 10-minute drive from the ancient town. It's excellent, truly excellent. I stayed for 2 days and had a wonderful experience. The room even has a fireplace, which is a really nice touch.
YYxinyueI booked a twin room at Zhulao, and the front desk upgraded me to a Kaleidoscope Twin Room in the main building, 3rd floor. The balcony offered a breathtaking panoramic view of the Dongfengyun Kaleidoscope architectural complex. Right outside the hotel is the iconic Red Wine Bottle building, and photos taken from the balcony turned out stunning. The stay included admission tickets to the scenic area and shuttle service, so I didn't have to pay extra, making it super convenient to enter and exit the park. The tickets could be used unlimited times. I also tried the hotel's photography service, and the photos were excellent. I had two Chinese meals at the hotel restaurant; the food was decent. The set menu was a bit average, but ordering à la carte seemed better. Breakfast was quite rich. The bell staff at the entrance were very proactive, helping with luggage, and taking me to the scenic spots for photos and sightseeing in an electric cart. They also enthusiastically introduced the attractions and routes along the way. I also want to specially thank the floor attendant, Yang Fen, who helped with several requests during my stay.
My stay included a one-time use of the mini-bar: the drinks were quite good. The fruit platter on the first day had limited variety.
Dongfengyun Characteristic Town admission tickets and sightseeing car tickets: Convenient for guests to explore.
5 retouched digital photos from the hotel's photography service (advance reservation required): I chose the package and was quite satisfied with the experience 👍.
GGuest UserThis hotel is absolutely incredible! Definitely the best I've ever stayed at. The environment is stunning, and the facilities are brand new and highly intelligent. The floor-to-ceiling windows frame the outdoor scenery like a painting, and sitting on the balcony enjoying the breeze is incredibly relaxing. The best part, though, is the 24-hour service; the staff are super attentive and thoughtful. They even provide pick-up and drop-off to Baisha Ancient Town, plus a ton of extra services like Naxi handmade tie-dyeing, bonfires, fireworks, and BBQ. All in all, this was an unexpectedly perfect experience. I've already recommended it to all my friends – a definite must-mark!
