Premetto che la mia recensione è esclusivamente relativa al parco termale e non alla struttura alberghiera. Dopo essermi ripromesso più volte negli anni di trascorrere una giornata in questo parco, finalmente questo anno ci sono riuscito e praticamente da luglio è diventato il mio angolo di paradiso domenicale. Non farò alcun paragone con i parchi termali più rinomati dell’isola perché non avrebbe senso. Ciò che più mi ha colpito è l’atmosfera di familiarità che si respira in questa struttura: si percepisce un’aria di serenità che non è sempre facile trovare. Tutto il personale è di una gentilezza incredibile a partire dalla reception dove si paga l’ingresso (consigliata la prenotazione) e ti viene consegnato il braccialetto. Poi si accede al parco termale con un’ampia offerta di lettini che consentono di poter scegliere tra posti più o meno soleggiati. Le piscine sono pulitissime e ben tenute. L’unica cosa che migliorerei è l’ idromassaggio che, per i miei gusti, è un po’ piccolo e non particolarmente forte. Per il resto nulla da eccepire. Poi c’è il piccolo bistrot dove è possibile fare un aperitivo o mangiare. E questo è un fiore all’occhiello della struttura. Innanzitutto per l’allegria e la simpatia di Erika, Martina e Francesco che sono capaci di rallegrare la giornata a chiunque. E poi preparano dei piatti freschi e gustosi offrendone una bella varietà tra insalate miste, zingare e panini. Tutto ottimo e abbondante. E infine una menzione meritata anche a Davide che macina kilometri e kilometri lungo il parco per far sì che sia tutto in ordine e che poi alle 16 fa esplodere la sua energia con la lezione di acquagym. I miei complimenti a tutti voi che mettete il cuore in ciò che fate.

My husband and I are lately returned from the Il Moresco Hotel on the Italian island of Ischia, having enjoyed a wonderful stay. The hotel itself is very beautiful, with comfortable public areas and spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean rooms. All the staff we had any dealings with were extremely friendly and helpful, with the manager giving us a tour of the hotel and grounds when we arrived. The pool is a thermal one, fed from natural springs and is heated to 28 degrees and the 'grotto' is heated to 30 degrees! This makes for a truly luxurious swimming experience. Downstairs in the hotel is the spa, with another heated (30 degrees), thermal pool, sauna, steam room and comfy loungers to help you make the most of your experiences there. Although we did not avail ourselves of any treatments, the staff were very welcoming. The gardens of the hotel are immaculately cared for and are full of trees, palms and all manner of plants that add colour and drama to the pool area. Breakfast by the pool was a special treat as it meant enjoying the gardens in that quiet time before the sun loungers started to be occupied. Although the Il Moresco is not on the beach, it does have a 'beach club' a very short walk away. The decked area is spacious, with toilet/changing facilities, many loungers and a bar/cafe. It juts out over the sea to give an impression of being on board ship! Again the staff here are brilliant, opening and rearranging sun umbrellas as required. Our travelling companions were my sister and brother-in-law and they completely share our views of this wonderful hotel. My sister has coeliac disease, and so requires a gluten free diet - the hotel were more than accommodating and she was very generously catered for by staff who understood the implications and necessity of her needs. Everything was handled discreetly and without drama! Overall, we had an absolutely brilliant time here and would thoroughly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.

My husband and myself wanted a holiday somewhere with great service food and links to places to explore. We were not disappointed the food the beautiful gardens the amazing massage in the spa. The cocktails with table service nothing was too much for the staff. I would highly recommend the train and boats the staff drop you on the shuttle bus to the train free of charge and we used it to visit Pompeii, Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi. Castellammare is not too great as a place to visit but there are sights you can visit not that this was a problem as the train is so easy and cheap you just jump on and go. Overall I will definitely be back and was sad to leave.

This is my first time here, my wife's second. She has been trying to get me here for the past two years. This time we came in a group of two couples and stayed in the exquisite Villa Giusy extension, over the hotel. Highly recommended. Il Sorriso is just super-excellent in every category. I am just sorry I didn't come years ago ! We will certainly be back at least a couple of times a year, every year, from now on. Summary; Wonderful location, amazing spa services and highest standards throughout. Amazing and super-close sea views, wonderful friendly staff, very professional but with that special warmth and dignity that comes with being an island people. As an Irishman, I appreciate and recognise these special traits. It is not just Luca and Simeone in the navettes, it is all the wonderful people from dining room to reception to pool staff who go the extra mile to check that all is well with you. We are spolied now and will expect this everywhere we go, but, in vain. There is unfortunately only one Sorriso Thermae Resort & Spa and you have to come to Ischia to find it. We have all the spa services you could want, in addition, we are right beside the justifiably famous Poiseidon Thermal Park and gardens served by the hotel navette service that also takes clients to the Spiaggia di Citara and various touristic destinations, if you really, really need to leave this oasis of comfort, pleasure and, above all, total relax. Bring some books. Your feet with sprout roots and you will develop an intense desire to just stay put and be cosseted in this paradise by these very special people. I admit it, I am still here and I am begining to wonder just how I can avoid going home.......... John

The hotel very modern, clean and welcoming, rooms are of a good size with good views, well at least ours was with views over looking the pool and the old fort. The pool is lovely with a really good pool bar, plenty of beds and friendly staff. We felt that the jacuzzi area was tired one was not working and covered over, the other was only part working with many of the jets not working. The breakfast was very good quality and served to your table by very friendly staff. The hotel has it’s own roof top restaurant which we dined at during our stay, the food and service was of the highest standard, and whilst more expensive than other local restaurants, the food was high quality and the restaurant is well worth at least one visit.

Ciò che più mi ha colpito è l’atmosfera di familiarità che si respira in questa struttura: si percepisce un’aria di serenità che non è sempre facile trovare. Tutto il personale è di una gentilezza incredibile a partire dalla reception dove si paga l’ingresso (consigliata la prenotazione) e ti viene consegnato il braccialetto. Poi si accede al parco termale con un’ampia offerta di lettini che consentono di poter scegliere tra posti più o meno soleggiati. Le piscine sono pulitissime e ben tenute. L’unica cosa che migliorerei è l’ idromassaggio che, per i miei gusti, è un po’ piccolo e non particolarmente forte. Per il resto nulla da eccepire. Poi c’è il piccolo bistrot dove è possibile fare un aperitivo o mangiare. E questo è un fiore all’occhiello della struttura. Innanzitutto per l’allegria e la simpatia di Erika, Martina e Francesco che sono capaci di rallegrare la giornata a chiunque. E poi preparano dei piatti freschi e gustosi offrendone una bella varietà tra insalate miste, zingare e panini. Tutto ottimo e abbondante. We always travel to Ischia at the end of May, this being our only holiday of the year. We have chosen this hotel as it was recommended and we liked the idea of the thermal garden in the hotel. We were very pleasantly surprised. We arrived at the main port on the island and were greeted by the hotel driver, who was punctual and professional. We arrived a bit earlier but our room was ready, which was great. Once there we had a tour of the facilities and everything was very clearly explained, with no 'hidden' costs. The Thermal Garden plus the inside pools and SPA facilities are stunning and a pleasure to use. The thermal treatments lady, Anna and the beautician (also called Anna!) were extremely professional and caring. The treatments very effective, all clearly explained and booked in advanced by the SPA manager, Elizabeth, also professional and very accommodating of my needs and requests. We ate in the hotel both at lunchtime in the bar within the thermal garden and for dinner. The food is delicious and plentiful, again with no hidden costs. The bar prices are very reasonable and in line with local bars. Staff there is very friendly and professional, making everything even more enjoyable. Breakfast was fantastic with a great buffet with quality items, dinner has been special every time with local dishes and a great choice of starters. Everything was exquisite and the staff were excellent, noticing preferences and great at advising the best dishes to try, again with no hidden costs. There is also piano bar in the evening, with two great musicians who sing and entertain with great songs, in Italian, and other languages. Beautiful! Overall an excellent experience, we will definitively go back!

Very disappointed for the price we paid , Good - Waiters in the restaurant were very efficient, friendly , hard working and professional. Everywhere kept clean Massage relatively good Barbecue evening was the best food all week Bad - Lack of English spoken , lack of information on amenities, local areas , buses etc - the only English notice I saw read Totally Forbidden to fill water bottles up from water station ! Having to wear Swim Caps to use any of the pools , I have never heard of this before of travelling globally for the last 40 yrs ! Although filters in the pool were old and rusty ! Dated bedrooms with extremely small bathrooms and some balcony’s literally looking into bushes . Noise from the evening entertainment goes on up to midnight so we could hardly sleep Breakfast was ok but mainly a very large selection of cakes ( pity some of these couldn’t have been offered as the desserts for Evening Meal Evening Meal , although served to a high standard with trolleys and silver food domes ( abit over the top ) was very disappointing. The Salad bar was the worst I’ve ever seen in a hotel , it was very poor and not much of it either . Main meal was disappointing too and dessert you couldn’t help yourself but choose from 4 and when one ran out your choice got less . Some Reception staff not very helpful or welcoming on our arrival , requested an early morning call at 5am on our day of departure and we never got it ( good job we were up ) Others got Breakfast bags on an early morning check out but not us ! Would I return , definitely not !Or book through Voyage Privé , definitely not .

Siamo stati io e il mio compagno per il week end di San Michele… Bhe che dire siamo stati accolti dal direttore giuseppe che appena arrivati ci a messo a nostro agio e ci a fatto vedere tutta la struttura … accomodati in stanza abbiamo notato subito La grande pulizia ,dopo aver lasciato le valigie in stanza siamo andati in spa a dopo nelle piscine calde tuto ben organizzato è stra pulito e rilassante, ma la vera chicca è stata la cena tutta buonissimo cucina casareccia è davvero deliziosa una nota a pascquale igino davvero delle persone simpaticissime e cordiali hanno fatto in modo di mettersi a nostro agio su tutto…la mattina dopo siamo andati in spiaggia tutto ben organizzato e che dire Raffaele ci ha accolti e coccolati… siamo stati davvero bene da rifare sicuramente

The hotel very modern, clean and welcoming, rooms are of a good size with good views, well at least ours was with views over looking the pool and the old fort. The pool is lovely with a really good pool bar, plenty of beds and friendly staff. The breakfast was very good quality and served to your table by very friendly staff. The hotel has it’s own roof top restaurant which we dined at during our stay, the food and service was of the highest standard, and whilst more expensive than other local restaurants, the food was high quality and the restaurant is well worth at least one visit.

The location is superb, facing the port/harbour, so in the very centre close to many shops, cafes and restaurants, as well as boats if you wish to take a trip around the island or to other islands in the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a room with a terrace in the sun all day long (there are only 4 of these I think, the rest just have a balcony) on the top floor with a fantastic view of the harbour. The hotel is also not far from the Aragonese Castle with lovely views from top built on a small tidal island connected by a causeway that is nice to visit. The hotel has an outdoor pool with thermal water and a lovely area around it on three levels with enough sunbeds, but the two levels above are not well maintained (broken chairs, umbrellas). It's a pity. The outdoor pool bar is not manned all day long but you can call someone from there and order what you wish. The spa, with an indoor pool, offers a lot of services and I recommend the anti-aging facial. And if you wish to swim in the sea, in addition to several public beaches close by, you can take a taxi that will take you to Giardino Eden, a beach club about 10 minutes from the hotel. It offers sea access, pools and restaurants. The only drawback was breakfast. The food was not replenished sufficiently so if you came later, so e.g. 10:00 while breakfast was open until 10:30, you could not find much of anything. You can of course order food too, e.g. fried eggs, etc. Once we came earlier, around 9:00, and the buffet was great. Pity. Oh, and the voucher for two complimentary welcome drinks upon arrival was in fact a voucher for two cocktails, not drinks such as prosecco or wine. All in all, a great stay for an affordable price. Will be back. :-)
