Excellent hotel! Right by the Nara Station, and 20 mins walk from Deer Park. The staff are lovely and the room is perfectly comfortable with everything you need. They leave little dessert snacks for you in the fridge which is a nice touch. The onsen was excellent! They have yogurt drinks in the morning and ice creams in the evening to enjoy for free. The free massage chairs were also excellent. Tea, coffee, cafe lattes, and matcha lattes are also available for free throughout the day and night. At night they offer free delicious ramen as a midnight snack! Absolutely great hotel, I would definitely recommend! Loved it here. Great value
The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, including the bedding. While the room was well-equipped, some facilities felt a bit dated. However, both the interior and exterior of the building exuded an aristocratic grandeur. The front desk staff were incredibly polite, professional, and went above and beyond to help guests with any issues. The hot spring had specific operating hours, and unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to experience it, which was a slight disappointment.
To experience a Japanese tatami room, I chose Asuka-so. The hotel is small, very much like the guesthouses on Mount Putuo, surrounded by similar small but exquisite inns.
Check-in was at 3 PM, and we arrived early. We couldn't get into our room, but the front desk kindly stored our luggage. After feeding the deer, we returned to find that the staff had already taken our luggage to our room. Another pleasant surprise was that while we were wondering how to lay out the futons, we returned from dinner to find the tatami already made up! ๐ We slept very comfortably.
There's also a public bath at the inn, and our room had a Japanese-style bathroom. We were given Japanese yukata upon check-in. Even though we only stayed one night, it was a deep and interesting experience of a Japanese ryokan.
There's a free bar at the hotel front desk offering coffee, tea, and complimentary ice cream, open until 9 PM.
Right across from the inn is a convenience store where you can buy deer crackers. There are deer everywhere nearby, so there's no need to go specifically to Nara Park if you just want to feed them; you can do so right around the inn.
Fantastic hotel for anyone who drive. Free Car park with lots of spaces. The facility is very clean, spacious room, both indoor and outdoor hot spring. Really there is nothing to complain in this hotel. It is located in a fairly decent neighborhoods and able to provide this standard of hot spring is phenomenal. One of the best stay we had in this journey. Highly Recommended.
The hotel is literally next to the JR Nara Station. You can purchase all of your travel tickets there and the airport bus tickets, too. In that area, there is a grocery store, a Walgreens type store, and nice affordable places to eat. I highly recommend the place on the corner(pic #1-2). The two guys that run it are so nice. There is a long shopping/restaurant street kinda across from the tourist center. I don't recommend this one ramen place located there. They make everyone pay before eating, and for the basic ramen that I got, it was overpriced. My bowl wasn't even full!(pic# 3-7)
The tourist center is located close by, and the folks in there are very helpful(pic# 8). All of the buses are right there, so touring is very easy. The hotel itself is very comfortable. It's keyless, so take a picture of your pass code. The onsen on the premises has a pass code as well. Inside was very nice and relaxing. I went at 2:20am and it was wonderful. They have pajamas, pillows, and a free happy hour. The variety of spirits is extensive. Also, the elevator smells so good! The scent will de stress you. You can try a lot of things with a nice view of the station. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The last two pictures are the view of the bus terminal. There is another one on the other side of the building. This is the front view (airport bus location)
I like Mercure very much. There are lounge services in the afternoon and evening. There are quite a lot of drinks, as well as cookies and candies. It is very comfortable to chat with family and friends. The room is quite large. The one we stayed in is a bit old, but the hygiene is still quite good. This time, we included a buffet breakfast and dinner. There are not many categories, but there are still surprises. It includes many specialties of Kashihara Nara, and provides a lot of sauces, which can be DIY. A student team checked in on the second day of the stay, but the hotel management is good, orderly, and food is added in time. The overall feeling is great.
Facilities: Exceeded expectations, there is also a massage chair~
Hygiene: Clean and tidy!
Service: Very good! The waiter led us into the room to explain how to use each facility, very considerate! When I left, I didn't forget to put my shoes in the right place~
Breakfast is super worth it! ! Very delicious!
This hotel is right next to JR Nara Station, making it super convenient for traveling to and from Osaka and Kyoto by JR. You can get to downtown Osaka in about half an hour on the JR Yamatoji Line, and the JR Nara Line lets you visit Uji and Inari along the way before reaching Kyoto Station. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and it's one of the few Roynet Hotels that actually has a hot spring bath. Plus, it's cheaper than other hotels of the same brand in Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe. This brand is known in Japan for being a quality, good-value chain hotel, so it's a great place to stay if you're exploring Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara. ๐๐ฝ
The location is right in the shopping street and also at the Kintetsu exit, it is only 15 minutes to go to the park. The staff is warm and courteous, the hot springs are fine but quiet enough. The hotel is old but tidy, there is no daily necessities except old towels, including a blow dryer in the hot spring area, and there is nothing towels lock. Of course, this price can't be too much, remember this is a hotel. I was impressed by the invincible location and courteous staff, I can't say whether I like it or not.

GGuest UserA question to think about, โWhat makes a hotel a luxury one?โ
To me, itโs luxury because of the hospitality of the staff, quality of the property and the food they provided totally exceed travellersโ expectations, and as a result, we would love to pay more for the experience.
Some staff really tried their very best to help me during my stay while some just didnโt. Upon arrival, I tried to communicate with the staff that Iโd like to cancel my third nightโs dinner because of the change of my plan. At first, I booked six meals in total and Iโd only want to cancel one dinner and they said I needed to pay 100% for the cancelled meal because they have already bought the ingredients. Okay, I tried to understand that because they had already taken away my credit card and thereโs nothing I could do about that and I thought it must be a very nice meal and thatโs why they insisted that. Disappointingly, the portion was so small and paying the same amount of money I could get so much better food in ่นๅค่ซพ้ or any other five star onsen hotels in Japan. As a result, I went to bed feeling hungry and eating the snacks I bought for myself :( The food portions are like a bento instead of a proper meal. )
Also, the Western style breakfast was so overpriced and the avocado in the omelette was not fresh at all.
One more thing to note is that the complimentary champagne service they provided to their guests. Itโs a nice experience but maybe Iโm just a lady travelling alone and I couldnโt speak Japanese at all, the waitress didnโt serve me the same way as she served other people in the cafe. When all of them got two glasses of free drinks, one cocktail and one champagne, she only gave me one champagne and didnโt offer me the cocktail. And the day after, there was a nice staff who served me properly and I finally realized that I am entitled to two drinks.
(Sigh)The experience was like buying a Chanel bag. The bag was pricey but the chain of the bag just suddenly fall apart
while you are using it for the very first time. My advice is: Donโt use their catering services especially for the in-room dining plan. There are so many better choices out there in the city. The room and the service of the staff are great tho.

AAnonymous UserVery good experience, the room is very large, and there is a private soup. Every day, I soak in the private soup and watch the snow scene, it is like a fairyland on earth! Breakfast and dinner are very rich!

GgtFufu Nara is a high-end luxury hotel and I enjoyed my stay with my m wife for our 24th wedding anniversary. Service was hearty and our Teppanyaki dinner was greeted with a dessert marking our memorable day!
