Hotel Hot Springs di Osaka Prefecture, Japan

The hotel was inflexible about changing rooms unless it was the same room type. However, the location is great. I'd choose to stay here again next time for several reasons. First, it's very close to Solaniwa Onsen, which is open from 11 AM to 11 PM. This is a perfect option for those with an early check-out and a late flight. Second, there are a few good restaurants nearby, located on the upper floor of the mall between the hotel and Solaniwa Onsen (see attached photos). Third, the city view from the 51st floor during breakfast or dinner is absolutely worth checking out. Fourth, you can take the subway directly to Kansai Airport without any transfers. Just pay attention to the announcements; about two stops before the airport, the train splits, so make sure you're in the correct car. The front desk also has staff who speak Chinese!

When we first arrived, we went through the wrong entrance, and the front desk staff came down to meet us. The location is excellent; you just cross a pedestrian bridge outside and you're at the subway station. The service was fantastic. We were even more pleasantly surprised when we entered the room—it's definitely a very spacious room for Japan. We had no problem opening all three of our suitcases. The room facilities are very comprehensive. Every day, housekeeping cleaned the room thoroughly and replenished everything. We will definitely stay at this hotel again next time we visit Osaka.

The hotel is conveniently located right outside Sakurajima Station. The environment is nice, and the two main highlights are the hot springs and the breakfast. I soaked in the hot springs for four days straight, it was incredibly relaxing! The breakfast quality is excellent. We were traveling with my elderly mother, so we bought breakfast for her. She could sleep in, then enjoy a good meal before heading out to explore, which really helped her stay energized! Walking to Universal Studios isn't too far either, about a 15-minute walk, which is perfectly acceptable.

+The location was really nice, very serene with lots of mountains surrounding the ryokan; +Relatively easy to access (pretty far from Osaka, but close to the train station); +Staff speaks English, so you shouldn't have issues with communication; +They have a lot of instructions/maps/manuals on how to fully enjoy the ryokan, so you shouldn't have trouble figuring out the basics. ~Food was mostly ok, nothing bad or spectacular, good portions; ~Although they do have some SPA elements, it's really not a lot (basically nothing except hot springs and massage) -It's certainly on the older side (not in the sense of it being particularly historical, rather that it would benefit from some renovations), but maybe that adds to the ambiance for some people; -The actual inn territory is rather small, so you won't have much to explore without going outside. Overall, I think it's a good first ryokan to familiarize yourself with the culture a bit, but I wouldn't necessarily refer to it as particularly impressive/authentic experience.

I was skeptical before stepping in but it was a pleasant surprise. They have individual shoe cabinets for you to lock your shoes, they even provide socks to walk around the hotel. The room is very clean and smells good, bed so comfortable i slept so well. The shampoo and conditioner, face and hand wash were of great quality and necessary amenities were provided. Although its a public onsen, i love the thoughtful free ice cream after onsen which i went once throughout my 3 nights stay, the only bad memory was that at the shower area i could smell strong urine. Other than that everything was perfect. Train station very nearby, lots of food around and a Lawson just next door. I would like to book this hotel again when i return to Osaka.

Natural Hot Spring Asagiri-no-Yu Dormy Inn Premium Namba Annex Stay: A Perfect Blend of Convenience and Japanese Hospitality My stay at Dormy Inn Premium Namba Annex was a delightful surprise. Nestled in the bustling Namba district, I discovered a hidden gem offering an immersive natural hot spring experience—a true 'small but certain happiness.' **Location is the biggest highlight:** The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Namba Station, surrounded by pharmacies, izakayas, and department stores. It's incredibly convenient for returning after an evening of shopping, making it a godsend for travelers looking to explore Osaka extensively. **Hot spring experience exceeded expectations:** 'Asagiri-no-Yu' is the hotel's centerpiece. While not huge, the natural hot spring water felt wonderful, leaving my skin smooth. There are indoor and outdoor baths, with simple greenery adorning the outdoor area. Soaking in the hot spring while enjoying the evening breeze instantly melted away the day's fatigue. Do note that the public hot springs have separate male and female hours, so remember to check the schedule upon check-in. **Room design is practical and thoughtful:** We chose a Japanese-Western style room. It wasn't exceptionally spacious, but the storage was excellent, allowing us to fully open our luggage without feeling cramped. The yukata (Japanese robes) were of good quality and added to the ambiance for photos. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and toiletries were comprehensive—even the comb had a massage function. These small details showed genuine care. **Service was efficient and warm:** The front desk staff spoke fluent English, and check-in was swift. They proactively informed us about hot spring hours and recommended local eateries. Every day, staff greeted us with smiles when we left and helped with our luggage upon return. Their politeness was just right—not overly enthusiastic, but comfortably warm. **Minor drawbacks:** The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, primarily Japanese set meals, and the taste was decent but not outstanding. If you visit during peak season, you might have a short wait for an available spot in the hot spring. Overall, this hotel perfectly balances 'convenience' and a 'Japanese hot spring experience.' It's especially well-suited for tourists who want to explore Osaka's city center, dine, and still enjoy a hot spring. The value for money is excellent, and I'll very likely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Osaka.

The Executive Room was clean and spacious! The front desk staff was very helpful and gave me directions to Osaka Castle Park. In the evening, I enjoyed the outdoor onsen, which was super relaxing and helped me unwind after a long day.

## Pros: Conveniently located near Osaka Metro's Kitahama Station🚇, just two stops from the Umeda shopping district, and not far from Shinsaibashi. While there aren't many restaurants directly around the hotel, it's primarily surrounded by office buildings and financial institutions, adjacent to the Osaka Stock Exchange. ## Cons: Some staff members were very professional, such as a young gentleman who spoke Chinese. However, some staff had an indifferent attitude, like a middle-aged woman in the restaurant. A few individual employees displayed poor service, lacked a service-oriented mindset, and provided a very unsatisfactory experience – for instance, a young, slender Japanese female employee with her hair in a bun. I hope not to be served by her again. ## Facilities: ① The windows can be opened to a certain degree, which is very useful for regularly ventilating the room and preventing a musty smell. ② The room is small, but the layout is cleverly designed and generally quite functional. However, the shower area is too cramped, making it difficult to turn around, which negatively impacts the user experience. ## Suggestions: It would be great if the breakfast variety could be rotated every 1-2 days, and if the entry cutoff time could be adjusted to 09:30.

The room was small but very clean and well-equipped. You can pick up toiletries you need, as well as nutritional supplements and face masks, from the lobby. There's a 7-Eleven convenience store downstairs, and the service was excellent. Every day, they'd give us a spa code so we could use the hot spring anytime. The only downside is that the location is a bit far from the subway, but it's great if you enjoy walking. Facilities: Excellent Cleanliness: Very clean Environment: Good Service: Good

Compared to hotels in Kyoto, it's not as refined, but the value for money is quite high. In the afternoon, you can enjoy free-flow beer and drinks. I didn't book breakfast, but it looked pretty good when I passed by. There's a Shinsekai night market nearby that's very lively from 7 PM to 10 PM, and some izakayas or restaurants are open until 11 PM or even midnight. When you exit Ebisucho Station, use exit 5. (If you haven't booked a ride-share or luggage delivery, leaving might be a bit difficult as this subway station doesn't have an accessible route.)
