Hotel Hot Springs di Toyama Prefecture, Japan

The location is a bit out of the way, but it wasn't a problem since we were driving. Although it's an older-style inn, it was clean and tidy. There were also quite a few locals staying there. They offered snack sharing in the afternoon and evening. The most pleasant surprise was the incredibly rich breakfast. I would definitely choose this inn again next time.

The sea of ​​clouds is right at the door, and the natural scenery is beautiful. The shop was opened in 1957. After all, the age is there. There is a musty smell in the room, and the hygiene of the hot spring is average. The dinner is average, the portion is not large, and the rice and miso soup can be refilled. The breakfast is very good with many choices. It is a 15-minute walk from Murodo Station. It is not far to Thunderbird House. The bed in the six-person room is still very big. It is only a few degrees at night on the mountain, and there is no heating. It is very cold!!!

A magical traditional Japanese inn. You have to wear slippers when entering the inn. The elderly are very enthusiastic and the whole village is very welcoming. I haven't experienced that kind of simplicity for a long time. There are singing and dancing performances, very delicious Sichuan fish, and a call to eat breakfast early. It feels like home.

Location is a short distance away from the Toyama station. But everything else is perfefct. I loved that my room had a small onsen as well, so I could continue to soak in the comfort of my room after visiting the big onsen. Both were great and it really helps to relax the body after a long day. Staff were friendly and went out their ways to assist with my requests. Really 10/10.

The staff were all very polite, kind, and generally wonderful. The amenities were great, and the room was clean. The hot spring was also very pleasant. If I had to point out one thing, it would be the dressing room in the hot spring. When I sat down to dry my hair, my eyes were drawn to the gap between the sink and the counter below, and I noticed some dust had accumulated there. The corners of the walls also had some dust. Since everything else was so clean, it was a bit disappointing. I would definitely like to stay here again.

The room I booked had an absolutely beautiful view — I loved it very much. It was spacious, and the hotel itself is large and impressive. The onsen was also excellent and very enjoyable. However, the main drawback was the dinner and breakfast. The meals did not match the promotional photos. For example, the advertisement showed crab legs, but there were none during my stay. The sashimi selection was also quite limited. Considering that this is the Toyama area by the sea, I was surprised that there was not much seafood available. There was not even salmon sashimi, which was disappointing. If the hotel could improve and expand the food selection, it would be perfect. It truly has the potential to be the best hotel in Unazuki Onsen.

Our family of four stayed in a Hollywood Twin Room. It's brand new and very clean. Even though we were on the top floor, we didn't have to wait long for the elevator. With a single bed, a double bed, and a sofa bed, all four of us slept comfortably. The sofa bed was a little firm, so it might be nice to have two futons. The public bath's changing room is small, and the sink is only for two people, so it can get a bit crowded. However, it was nice to have Rifa hair dryers in both the bath and the guest rooms. For breakfast, the only thing unique to Toyama was the shredded kelp, but overall the seasoning was good and we were satisfied. When traveling, we tend to eat rich meals for both lunch and dinner, so it's nice to have a breakfast like this so we don't overeat! The breakfast staff were very friendly and even gave us some sightseeing information.

Nice Japanese breakfast. Strategic location to get around Gokayama and Shirakawa. In front of the hotel is the biggest Gassho style house in Japan that has a long history of being owned by samurais and where the emporia family had visited many times and is considered a cultural heritage of Japan.. I would go back to this hotel because of its location.

The hot spring is very large, there are various ways to soak, the outdoor open-air hot spring is also very beautiful, there is a bubble pool indoors, and there is also a strong impact to heal tired legs. The kaiseki cuisine is delicious, Toyama Prefecture has very good seafood, every night is very exquisite. The waiters are very good, and there are also waiters who understand Chinese. There is a spectacular snow scene in winter, and there are two medium-sized ski resorts next to it, which is convenient for skiing.
