The hotel had overbooked with a large group coming in. So on the second day of my stay l was asked to leave for the third (final) night of my stay. Local staff did their best, were apologetic, offered a choice of two comparable hotels for the final night, made the arrangements, refunded part of the payment. Was the overbooking just human/ system error? Was it general policy to overbook? Was it that the company saw the chance of a full house for several days and took it at the cost of breaking a contract? Whichever, it absolutely should not have occurred. Apart from that the hotel was fine.
