I had to fly to Almaty on family business. Hotel itself is trendy, historical building. Inside is really nice, clean. Front desk folks are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Rooms looks exactly as on photos. Each room has electric cattle, 2 bottles of water for each occupant. They refill tea, coffee, water every day. If you ask, they can bring you thus any time. I have to say their 24 hours room service is great. I bought room with breakfast. Highly recommend. Menu/ buffet is good. You can order omelets or oatmeal. One thing, though. Menu does not change at all. So, if you stayed few days, you will be fine. I stayed 10 days. It kind got boring after 4 days. Never the less, breakfast is good. Housekeeping is great! They really clean your room, disinfect. They change sheets every other day, towels every day. A lot of toilettes: shampoo, conditioner, body wash gel, body and hands creams, shower cap, even hair comb. You can pre order transfer from and to airport. They met me with the sign. It was great. Really great hotel. I will highly recommend to stay there.

Set in its own grounds the Intercontinental Almaty looked impressive when we arrived. We had a good welcome and we were recognised as IHG Diamond Ambassador Members and advised that we had been upgraded from the Premium Room that we booked. We travelled by glass elevator to our floor which gave us great views of the vast atrium. The room was spacious but we didn't get the upgrade that we were promised but not a major issue because it was nicely decorated and there were great views of the surrounding area and the mountains in the distance. There was a complimentary enhanced fruit platter arranged on the coffee which was highly appreciated. The bathroom was fine with a powerful shower and large bathtub, wall mounted soap dispensers were provided. We had access to the Club Lounge and we found it extremely impressive. The lounge was nicely appointed and had a nice offering of food and drinks available throughout the day with a generous offering during cocktail hour where a nice selection of hot dishes were offered. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, it was a short distance from the downtown area of the city, the facilities were top notch and the staff members we came into contact with were professional and approachable.

Отличное расположение гостиницы! Шикарный вид с балкона и днём и ночью! В апреле по утрам поют соловьи. Холл и входная группа красиво стильно современно. Номера - не очень. Маленькая площадь, старая, но целая мебель, затертый ковролин, несовременный кафель, полотенца старенькие, с лохмотьями. В шкафу для одежды нет ни одной полочки- вещи положить некуда, только 2 вешалки. Постельное бельё нормальное чистое. Есть чайник, чашки, чай и сахар. Воду 0.5 приносят ежедневно. Мини бар - у меня был весь холодильник, у коллеги - пусто. По требованию, думаю, принесут. Гладильные комнаты всего 2. На 6 и 7 этаже. На 7 этаже очень тусклый свет - гладишь почти на ощупь. Для такой большой гостиницы, казалось бы, мало. Но за 7 дней проживания - я не стояла в очереди в гладилку. Тренажёрки, сауны, бассейна нет. И это большой минус гостиницы. Завтраки в ресторане Zina - очень разнообразные и вкусные. Каши, творог обалденные. Есть свежие овощи, салаты, тарталетки и т.д. Есть и серьёзные блюда: манты, мясо, картофель запечённый. Выпечка, в основном, вкусная. Но иногда подают пирожки, самсушки трех или четырёх дневные. Уже дубовые. Может для видимости брльшого количества их кладут. Для разнообразия, при частых командировках, можно раз в год останавливаться в этой гостинице.

The staff is most unresponsive, displaying undertones of racial bias. No Indian should stay in this hotel. Despite three reminders and a wait of two hours, the hotel failed to deliver a bucket of ice in the room, of course on payment. Room layout is faulty - a huge concrete column in the centre of the room reduces the space considerably (Rooms 621 and 428). Towel peg in one bathroom was broken (Room 429). Room upkeep was shoddy - trash was left uncleaned. In one room, a worn out towel with a big tear was placed. It was shown to the Supervisor who offered a drink as compensation - height of shamelessness. In yet another room, the house keeping staff forgot to place bath towels. Despite repeated calls to the Reception, the hotel failed to deliver them. Consequently, the couple had to go for breakfast without bath. It is certainly a disgrace to the brand name Ramada.

Nice clean room, very polite and friendly staff. Still there is something to be improved: card has stopped functioning once (could not open the door) and twice didn't turn on the electricity (it starts when you insert the card inside the cardholder in your room). Also there were some troubles to print out the invoice correctly and find the payment for prolongation of our stay. Good location, 10 minutes walking to the underground. Good breakfast served: fresh fruits and wide range of desserts.

I am writing a review here because didnt have a chance to do it via Booking, as they have closed this option for me surprisingly Fast within few hiurs I left this hotel. The reason is that I had been forced to leave this ”hotel” earlier. So, lets start: I do not know how this hotel has been rated four star. This is one star Max. Hot water you need to wait for 30 min every time you want it. Breakfast very poor and if you are downstairs around 10AM - nothing left even through is it publushed until 11AM!!!! Heater in the room is broken.... Several reasons like that. The main one - my last night hotel owners allowed to have a movie filming to somebody for whole night in the hotel corridors right behind my room door with always smoking actors!!!! I am not joking... I couldnt sleep and all my request to stop noizing were just simply ignored with the comments that they are filming here and sit in your room!!! :-). They probably thought I should be proud of it! I am rarely writing reviews but cannot skip it for this rubbish hotel. Do not waste your time even viewing this option.

The Good - 1. Central location, bang opposite Rixos Almaty 2. Cheap hotel with big and spacious rooms The Bad - 1. Badly managed, staff doesn't speak English The Ugly- 1. Rooms smell of decaying carpet and upholstery 2. Really bad ventilation in bathrooms, it stinks really bad, double whammy of both stinking bathroom as well as bedroom will make your head spin 3. When we reached there, staff denied us boarding, we booked rooms through booking.com but staff said that rooms ain't available. It took us almost an hour to convince them to provide with an upgrade which they did reluctantly. Hotel has good space and perfect location, they need renovation and good management to turn things around. Till then, look for better options.

My room is spacious with a park view from the second floor. Rooms come with stocked mini-fridge, lots of bath accessories, safe for valuables, and hot water kettle. The included breakfast has a wide array of options and the chef will prepare eggs to your request. The staff is friendly and efficient. I really like this hotel and am impressed. I would happily stay here again.

Отель не понравился , объясню почему : не люблю отели , которые выкупают пару - тройку этажей новостроек и пытаются создать комфорт в многоэтажке или в бизнес центре . 1.Маленькая вывеска отеля потерялась среди многих вывесок бизнес центра , неудобно ! 2. Надо подняться на 17 этаж на ресепшн … мне кажется ресепшн надо делать на первом этаже …3 Отель абсолютно новый - но это как плюс - так и минус - в моем номере практически сразу отвалились какие то детали от двух стеклянных дверей , хорошо , что не на голову . 4. Отель должен позволить выспаться - но этот отель исключение - при + 18 на улице , в номере грели батареи ( я перекрыл их ) но это не спасло , открываешь окно - рёв оживленного проспекта , кондиционер - настроен на +24 ( зачем ???) В целом - плохая ночь , ( очень жарко и душно ) не позволила мне отдохнуть . Персонал старается и дружелюбен , но в отеле , в первую очередь - ценишь комфорт - а его - нет . В Следущий визит в Алма Ату - точно выберу другой отель !

What a disappointing hotel. The service was awful throughout. Whatever the question the answer was always NO! Check in time was 2:00pm. I arrived at noon and asked for an early check in. NO! The room was ready but unless I paid $50 they would not allow early check in. (A different clerk did eventually check me in early) The restaurant closed at 7:00pm for dinner and there was no nearby option. I got take out and just asked for silverware and an empty glass. NO, you may not take to room. Eventually I procured a single fork (still no glass allowed in room. “People steal them”). 30 min later, a knock on the door asking for the fork back! Bar was horribly stocked. Red wine? NO. White Wine? NO. Just beer Breakfast opened at 7am. I arrived at 6:50 and just asked if I could have a coffee while i waited. NO. They ran out of juice, asked for more….wait for it…NO. Power was off several times, once for 2+ hours. Windows don’t open so it became very stuffy. Room was not cleaned one day. I asked just for fresh towels. I had to bring my used ones down to the front desk, where they counted them to be replaced. I guess their guests steal towels too! On checkout I asked politely if I could speak to the manager. “No manager here”. That kinda sums up the whole stay. Many, many better options here and this should never be part of IHG with the terrible service

Пыталась заселиться с мужем в отель 23 апреля в 7.00. Номер был оплачен с 22 апреля, так как мы летели всю ночь и не хотели ждать заселения. Когда мы прибыли в отель нам сказали, что наш номер не готов и предложили подождать когда его уберут. Номер, который снят с прошлых суток! Также нам предложили заплатить депозит в размере 20 000 тенге. Мы попробовали поговорить с директором. На что человек по имени Нурасыл сказал, что наш номер использовался так как мы не заселились в 14.00 прошлого дня и они его кому-то сдали, а теперь убирают. Также настаивал на оплате депозита. Ок, мы очень уставшие заплатили депозит и наконец-то дождались наш номер. Номер оказался размером в собачью конуру, на 10 метров меньше чем мы оплатили. Обстановка соответствующая, и за это они еще берут депозит! При попытке вернуть деньги администратор Дамир сказал, что деньги они не возвращают и какие либо документы предоставить не могут. Пришлось вызвать полицию, чтобы зафиксировать факт мошенничества.
