Kusnadi hotel and restaurant

Honest Review. My wife & I stayed at the Kusnadi hotel for 3 nights supposed to stay 4 nights checked out couldnt handle it anymore well where do I start. The breakfast was the worst breakfast I have ever had at a Bali hotel & I've been coming to Bali since 1982 (68 times) the breakfast was uneatable all the buffet choices were stone cold, 4 slice toaster 2 compartments didn't work the the other 2 only toasted 1 side complained but basically said that's all we have. The service (what service) totally none, my wife and I sat down for lunch waited 20 minutes no one came the waitress was to busy showing photos to 1 of the western guests for 15 minutes laughing away finally my wife got up & asked can we have a drink & a menu her comment was oh I thought you just wanted to sit & watch the passing people. Also my wife received a funny look like oh do you want me to serve you. After another 10 minutes & her still showing photos to the person sitting at the bar she came over so that is now nearly 30 minutes we had to wait. Finally we ordered our drinks & food & when I said the service is not great she basically smiled & laughed. Food is well priced no service & tax but very ordinary quality. Wait staff are totally not disinterested , the only up side is the room we had Deluxe Pool View was very nice very clean, nice fluffy towels they are a bit small & the outside bathroom is huge twice the size as the room go figure. There are much better hotels than the Kusnadi, with staff happy to serve you. My honest opinion don't bother staying here staff not really interested. For $65.00 a night including breakfast (What Breakfast) if you do decide to stay here & you like a good morning breakfast this place is not for you pay for your room without breakfast & go across to 5 restaurants within a 50 metre walk.

Recently stayed at the Kusnadi, this is my honest review. Pro - location is ok, some good restaurants close by. Staff are awesome. Room was next to the pool and spacious (116) Nice grounds and still had that Bali feel I look for. Cons - Pool pump was broken for the whole time we were there (8 days) it was running but obviously not well, obviously the pump has seen better days and was extremely noisey day and night, complained to reception and was told it was turned off at 11pm, but never happened, many sleepless nights. Buffet breakfast was the worst I have ever had, minimal choice, always cold. One morning I had fried eggs on toast, then thought I would have a pancake, , only to be informed you can’t have both, you can only chose egg or pancake. Unfortunately nothing left in the trays so had to be satisfied with just the eggs. The first day we arrived we had to get the staff to fix the broken toilet and remove the “mess” obviously left behind by the previous guests. Will not return or can’t recommend this hotel.

Rooms: We enjoyed a ground floor room close to the pool with easy access to reception. The large size bed was reasonably comfortable, and the water pressure and temperature from shower good (only negative is there is no shower curtain or glass so the whole bathroom gets wet when showering). Room was very spacious, with drawer and large cupboard with hanger storage. The room itself is well loved and could use a bit of an update but do not let that deter you from staying. It’s the traditional Balinese style! Complementary bottles of water every day. Location: This is in a great spot. Only a short walk to the beach, Legian road, many restaurants, message parlours, and everything you need in Bali. You could hear muffled music coming from Sugar Rays/ Chapter 2 at night. Breakfast: Breakfast was good, a decent selection of freshly cooked eggs and pancakes, pastry, toast, Indonesian food, hash browns, fruit, and juice. You can purchase cafe coffee behind the egg station. Pool: A large size pool, sectioned in the middle to separate the shallow and deep ends. Temperature was cool and refreshing. For the size of the hotel, there is enough seating including sun lounges, mini lounge huts, seats and cabanas are available. Overall: I would recommend to anyone coming to Legian. For the price, you really can’t go past this hotel. The staff have been friendly and welcoming, and have assisted with all our requests. I look forward to my next stay here!

Loved this place and will stay again but it needs some work.We arrived early hours at 1.30am and were were quickly shown to our room right next to the pool.Room was good,clean sheets and everything you needed.Breakfast was terrible and we were late around 9am.Nothing left in any of the dishes and had to ask for them to be filled.We got cold hash browns and left over fried rice.There was an egg station so if you wanted fresh eggs,Great.The pool area was lovely and for the three days we were there,very quiet and relaxing.You could get a chair by the pool at any stage.Massage lady came around every day and you could have a massage by the pool at a very reasonable rate.Hotel grounds are lovely and walking distance to the beach in the afternoon for the sunset.Our toilet was a little dodgy making a loud clang everytime you sat down but not a huge issue.Its dated but for the price you are paying its a real bargain.Just dont expect the breakfast to be anything more than average

Great value Balinese styled hotel very traditional Great room we stayed 221 large outdoor bathroom and nice bed .great location for many eats and great bars all 5-10 jalan jalan from hotel..jalan = walk...lovely gardens and pool area very hard to beat anywhere for money we been bali 14x and stayed manyplaces but this rates very high on all apart from breakfast which is average at best but for price ok..there 2 great breakfast places less than a minutes walk from hotel anyway.location to beach 10 minwalk jl legian 10 min . So located great for most things in area

Lovely property in a very central location close to key services, cafes, restaurants and shopping. Simple breakfast but certainly enough. Warm and helpful staff - amazing team willing to meet any need. Gorgeous grounds and nice pool area.
