We stayed here for part of our honeymoon and we do not regret the decision one bit. Our villa was Villa Marrakech, one of the uniquely styled villas across the property. On arrival, we found it was well cleaned and beautifully prepared. Its a very spacious set up and although there's quite a few villas, you feel like you're the only one when you're sat there looking out, as they are all laid out going down a hillside and not disrupting each others' views. The butler service is very convenient and you are set up on WhatsApp which makes the communication seamless. The team was very helpful on a range of requests from organising laundry to finding us a jump rope for exercise. It's located a short taxi drive from the main restaurants in uluwatu and the hotel's recommendations in the welcome letter were spot on and offering different moods. If you go for breakfast, there is an option to have it served at the villa which we chose every morning. Well prepared and a good range of tasty choices. There is a small gym on the property but it contains the key ingredients for a decent workout and is fair given its a boutique property. There's also a main pool by the restaurant but we didn't visit as a the one at the villa was just fine.

Decent hotel, pool and public area is amazing. Breakfast buffet is so so, but does come with decent varieties. The only complaint I have is the unreasonably policy on two tiny water bottles per room per day. When there's no convenience store nearby, and you're staying with another guest in a room, it doesn't make sense to not give complimentary water bottles to guests.

Our stay at Anantara Uluwatu was absolutely fantastic. This was our third time choosing Anantara, and once again, they exceeded our expectations in terms of service and cleanliness. The staff members were friendly, responsive, and always ready to assist. The room was spacious, complete with a private pool. During our stay, we were delighted to receive complimentary photography sessions, meals, and massages. It was a truly superb welcome! However, there is room for improvement in terms of maintenance for some of the hotel amenities. Aside from that, everything else was perfect for our holiday.

We stayed at the Jumeirah as the last leg of our honeymoon following 5 nights at the Capella and 5 nights at the Four Seasons. These were activity based stats and Jumeirah at Uluwatu was the relax and recharge around the pool and beach. The hotel design and decor is stunning and our villa was incredible. Can’t fault it. However, amenities and inconsistent service really lets this hotel down. The good stuff: - e-butler service via WhatsApp was brilliant. In- room dining, great! -Marcel on concierge went above and beyond, he couldn’t do more for us! - Our in-room servicing team were super and made us towel animals everyday leaving us notes during our stay which was lovely. The not so good stuff: - Food was nice, but just ok. Poached eggs on toast… toast was burnt everyday and poached eggs watery. Omelette came out with whipped egg whites like you’d make in a pudding (very strange) and with alternative ingredients from your original order if they had run out of something. But, without consulting you. I was intolerant to one of the substituted ingredients. Similarly, I ordered a non alcoholic cocktail and they made it alcoholic. Little things like this can’t happen. - Unorganised and overly attentive service in restaurants. You have about 5 people waiting your table so you can’t enjoy your breakfast/ lunch or dinner without constantly being interrupted being asked the same question. You feel watched and pounced on during the meal so you can’t actually relax. Before you have finished your last mouthful and putting your cutlery down they are already whipping away your plate even if others at the table are still eating or you are still chewing your last mouthful of food. - Slow service in both restaurants and pool bar. Whilst quick to take your order and hovering, it took a minimum of 15mins to deliver your drinks with food sometimes beating your drinks to the table. If you’d ordered a frozen drink it had basically melted before it reached your table. Or they would deliver half your order and the rest would follow 10mins later so you were always chasing up food and drink and wondering if they got your order wrong. - We ordered a tuna salad and the salad came without the Tuna. The Tuna was then delivered separately 10mins later… - ordered an omelette and the toast came out 10mins before. - It doesn’t cater for western clients. Both how they execute basic western dishes and more broadly on culture. As a female, I was often ignored and only my husband was addressed. They would never hand me the bill, this always was passed to my husband, and they only ever asked him questions directly and ignored me entirely which I found rude and insulting. Classic western food on their menu was often excited on poorly. - No atmosphere around the pool. Play some soft background music. We found guests playing music themselves via their phone. We didn’t overly mind this but it shows they were all feeling the same and I wouldn’t expect at a 5* hotel to have peopl

This place was absolutely shocking for the money. For the same price you can get a really nice room. There was a swarm of mosquitoes in the bathroom. The shower didn’t work well. Wash hand basin stained. Taps rusted. Towels were filthy- I didn’t use them. Air conditioner worked well but couldn’t be adjusted or switched off.

My experience at the White Tortoise was like a little dream that I didn't want to get rid of quickly, a peaceful corner like poetry, the villas are nestled in nature with a beautiful sea and volcano view. The team is extremely kind and Patricia the owner is a love who gave me a huge service which saved my weekend, you feel like family in this place the restaurant is excellent you can also do from delivery to the villa. The establishment is very close to Padang beach and the center with plenty of restaurants choices and also cute shops, the beach of Bengin can also be easily done by scooter. Do not hesitate to try this experience at white Tortoise ecco villas, I will definitely be back again. A huge thanks to all the team🙏🙏 🥰

The hotel is stunning, was exactly what we hoped it would be. We watched the sunset (almost) every night from our overhanging hammock and could see the stars from there once it was dark. The breakfast was nice but we preferred to go out just to try more options. Was lovely to be surrounded by plants and bamboo. The pool and pool area is a lovely place to chill with a beautiful view of the sea. The area was close to town (you could walk, but I would recommend a scooter/e-bike) but was quiet and relaxing. Would definitely stay again.

A quiet and beautiful place in Uluwatu area, spacious tents with colorful interior, nice garden and pool area, very good breakfast and -our favorite- fresh juices. And for us the most remarkable characteristic: the crew of Origin Uluwatu is unbelievably helpful and friendly. We thank you so much and will always remember you and our time at Origin Uluwatu.
