I can highly recommend James Farmhouse as an ideal location for a winter family getaway. This is the second time we’ve stayed here and the facilities have improved under new ownership of Kirsten and Mark . The house is spacious, warm and cosy and very comfortable for our family of nine and could easily handle more. The fireplaces in the lounge area and dining room add to the country a**osphere and the outdoor facilities are ideal as well. The accommodation made our four night stay a very pleasant and memorable trip.

James Farmhouse is an old home with plenty of room and some creature comforts. The wood fireplace saw use as 4 couples enjoyed a cool long weekend. Ample room in the lounge and dining. Nice gardens. The house had 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets and a meals table in the kitchen meant chats whilst meals were cooked. Plenty of cooking gear and options. Rear drinks area. Walk to the tavern or shop. Both basic but you could get a meal (book on weekends).

Well laid out accomodation, lots of firewood/kindling to keep us warm (as well as air con), very short walk to local eateries and short drive to wineries. We chose not to cook but from what I saw the kitchen was well kitted out. Highly recommend.
