amazing stuff, great hospitality. Greeted us the moment we arrived, so professional with great attitude. location and the view were another thing. overall, one of the best stay.

Large room, ikea furniture, nice balcony view Unfortunately under renovation now, so no windows can open, and even 4th floor is noisy at night due to road side traffic Great staff, excellent bar and breakfast quality and service.

Die Unterkunft ist in allen Bereichen top. Das einzige was uns am Anfang ein wenig irritiert hat, ist die unbediente Reception. Das Online einchecken, hat aber super geklappt. Wir konnten schon um 1400 statt erst um 1500 Uhr ins Zimmer. Da wir getrennte Betten wollten, und es diese nur in der höheren Kategorie gab, wurden wir einfach ”upgegradet”, einfach top. Auch das Zusatzbett für unsere 5 jährige Tochter war mega bequem. Es war alles äusserst sauber und die tägliche Reinigung war super. Wir sind und waren einfach begeistert. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder. Vielen Dank für den schönen Empfang.

Vorzüglich im Ganzen! Absolut wundervolle Lage (nur mit Taxi erreichbar) ob bei Tag oder bei Nacht! Ein wundervolles DeLuxe Zimmer mit Blick auf den See! Die Grösse, die Materialien von höchster Qualität und feinstem Design. Essen im Bistro ausgezeichnet, da voll ausgebucht im Restaurant! Leider nur eine Nacht a.Gr. von viel Arbeit auch in Lugano (Besuch einer super Vorstellung im Arte und Kultur Center). Fitness/Sauna waren leider noch geschlossen, aber Privat Spa war buchbar vor Abreise am Sonntagmorgen...gute Alternative. Die Gärten rundum himmlisch! Das Team war super professionell, ausserordentlich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Freue mich und träume jetzt schon von meinem nächsten Besuch in der Villa Leopolde...herzlich empfehlenswert für Geniesser des Feinem und Gutem... Denise Welten in Zürich

I notice this hotel hasn't been reviewed for 2 years, which is a pity, as it's an excellent option in Lugano. We stayed there for only one night (unfortunately) as part of our Grand Train Tour of Switzerland and found it to be perfectly located, near the centre of the city and next door to the furnicular station. Do not walk down from the railway station to the hotel, catch the furnicular at the station and on arriving at the end, the hotel entrance is 50 metres away. The room we had was a great size, overlooking the furnicular as it turned out and had plenty of space for suitcases, without tripping over them. A safe, free wi-fi, air con and a fridge were provided, as well as tea and coffee making facilities at a small charge. The one major flaw was the small shower, notwithstanding the excellent temperature and water pressure. It was difficult to turn around for almost any size adult and DON'T drop the soap! Breakfast was cold options only, which is fine by us, but it was satisfactory only, without being anything special, which was a pity. There was a nice lounge area with comfortable chairs and an internal garden setting outside, although I'm not sure if that was part of the hotel. Silvia at reception was so helpful and considerate. As guests, we each received a complimentary block of Swiss chocolate.

Sekiranya anda menempah hotel mewah di Lugano, tidak ada pilihan lain untuk saya. Walaupun tidak betul-betul di tengah-tengah Bandar, ia berada di kawasan yang bagus dan tenang dan 10-15 minit berjalan kaki ke bandar sangat bagus untuk menenangkan perut setelah makan banyak pizza. Kawasannya sangat menakjubkan, pemandangannya luar biasa, sarapan bufetnya tidak mengagumkan tetapi sangat bagus (Walaupun wanita yang boleh duduk di sini anda boleh tersenyum sedikit lebih banyak, semua kakitangan lain ketika sarapan sangat bagus). Lido peribadi hebat. Saya tidak akan pernah menginap di hotel lain di Lugano untuk perjalanan musim panas tahunan kami, ini telah memenangi kesetiaan saya seumur hidup.

The perfect place to stay in Lugano. Family-run, the staff are just so welcoming and, for Switzerland at any rate, it’s good value. I stayed for three nights and had dinner each evening. The four-course ‘menu’ is exceptionally well priced at SFr 44 (£37) if you book half-board. The food was delicious and served in copious quantities. Drinks prices are also inexpensive by Swiss standards. The hotel’s location, a 5-minute step-free walk from Lugano station, is also excellent. The hotel building is quite old but the facilities in the public areas and rooms are thoroughly up to date. I’d not hesitate to return. My thanks to all the staff for their care and welcome.

Tolles Hotel, gute Lage, verschiedene Busstationen in der Nähe, Mobility-Standort, Universität, Migros, Palazzo Congressi. Freundliches Personal, Kaffee von der grossen Espressomaschine auf Wunsch... Arcobaleno Ticket für 5 Tage inbegriffen. Mir gefällt der 70er-Jahre Charme, den das Hotel hat, z.B. die Buchstaben im Frühstücksraum. Wir waren Mitte August zu zweit, für 5 Nächte dort, schon zum 2. Mal.

I hardly know where to start. This is our 10th hotel in 3 weeks and it is hands down the worst. It’s just a room. And the smallest at that. Even the cruise boat we were in was nicer then this. I feel bad for my precious friend who has brought me along on her trip and everything’s been wonderful. But this room and the situation must be very disappointing for her. There’s no discounts for being misled or tricked by false advertising. The mattress is exceedingly hard and apparently we cannot have a “topper” because “we already have a bed” and in any case house keeping is not available so - no. I pray that I will be able to sleep while I’m here. The towels are old and frayed and sized for a child not an adult - plus - one per person. There’s an air conditioner but they don’t work until summer - not even just in fan setting. You can try if you want but it will stop after 10 minutes There’s a towel Warner but it’s disabled. Yep, you guessed it, it only works during winter. The door can open but the window is bolted shut and the air conditioner - while it exists as claimed - is disabled during the rest of the year and only available for use during summer so too bad if you suffer from overheating as I do. You can try it but it will just stop working (even on the fan setting) after 10-15 minutes. We paid for rooms with a view but all we get is the pipes, someone else’s yard and the train right behind us. There’s a spare door in the room - for the next door neighbours room!! Yep. Just an internal door between you. Book and come with friends but don’t expect to be on the same floor or even in cooee of them. It would make sense to put you together and allocate rooms (that are the same as each other) to guests who arrive on time / first rather then shoving people higgeldy piggeldy There are deals included with your room according to the website and booking agent but apparently they’re only “valid” for summer time The complimentary drink on arrival is a similar fiction The beautiful photos are a lie taken at night, during summer peak season when everything’s allowed and working, or from the 50% of rooms that do have a lake view. The others get the neighbouring properties back yard or in my case - the pipes No shampoo or conditioner despite this being the norm in Europe hotel rooms No kettle with complimentary basic tea or coffee - the Mini bar is only a bottle of water. The old heater also has exposed pipes in the room. Not that I should worry I guess coz it’s not winter so it’s not working. There was no guidance from reception as to where we might be able to get a meal - except to tell us that the promotes deal was not applicable to us because it’s not summer time. According to the website we qualified given we booked to stay for more then 2 nights. And no advice that we aren’t actually in Lugano and that we had to walk a good 20-minutes to find some food.
