PPengguna TetamuThis hotel is definitely a very unique hotel, seemingly modeled off the Aman luxury chain, that is catered for the domestic Chinese market in several ways. For one, it offer several ”instagrammable” or ”daka” spots that look very nice for pictures, especially the iconic rooftop. Another is that they offer a ton of gifts and free food included in the price (which definitely improves its value), including breakfast, afternoon tea, and evenning snacks. Service is also great. However I have two comments, which is, its kind of a bit far away from the busy areas/malls in town and tourist spots, and also that they dont have certain facilities you may expect in a four or five star hotel like a swimming pool /spa etc. It is also kind of hard to find if you try to get there via subway as its located on top of an outdoor mall. But I appreicate that they are trying to offer a different jkind of experience at a price that is not breaking the bank.

The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we stepped out of our chartered car, helping us with our luggage and making us feel right at home.
The front desk staff were efficient and friendly, making check-in and check-out a breeze.
The service staff during breakfast and happy hour were top-notch, attending to our every need and even filling our personal water bottles.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The service was excellent—they even arranged a pickup for us, which was incredibly helpful.
What really stood out was how kind and attentive everyone was, especially with our 5-month-old baby. When we needed assistance with getting our little one vaccinated, the staff helped us navigate everything smoothly. Their genuine care made a huge difference.
The amenities were fantastic—having laundry service included was a lifesaver for us as traveling parents. We also enjoyed the free coffee and snacks available throughout the day, and the breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options.
We also appreciated the hotel’s warm and safe atmosphere. The fact that the staff is mainly female added to the welcoming and comforting environment.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely return if we’re back in the area. Highly recommend this hotel to families, couples, and solo travelers alike!

MMarc1The hotel is beautifully located by a serene, quiet lake, making it an excellent choice for a relaxing stay. It is particularly popular among families with children, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The breakfast is fantastic, especially if you go early in the morning when the food is freshly prepared. However, later in the day, the selection may not be as fresh.
While the staff does not speak English, navigating your stay is still manageable with some basic Chinese and the help of Google Translate—just as it is in many parts of China.
I highly recommend booking a room with a spa on the balcony. These rooms are located on the second floor, offering greater privacy and more outdoor space. The spa feature itself can be a bit tricky to use—you need to ensure the water level is just right, as too much or too little will prevent it from working properly.
Overall, the hotel is very clean, and the staff is accommodating and responsive to any requests. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with excellent amenities, this is a great choice.

AAutumnLeafI stayed at Cachet Boutique Hotel Kunming on 25–26 October and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is located a little away from the main pedestrian street, but the area around it has plenty of lively bars and cafés that attract a younger crowd — great if you enjoy a vibrant atmosphere.
The hotel itself was clean, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully designed. I was really impressed by the stylish decor, quality amenities, and the spacious room layout. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a free room upgrade, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Checking in/out was fast and hassle free.
As an additional benefit, the hotel is located 10 minutes from the train station.
Overall, it’s excellent value for money — I’d definitely recommend Cachet Boutique Hotel to anyone visiting Kunming who’s looking for comfort, style, and a touch of local charm.

Front desk service desk helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good as well. Free laundry and gym. Many eateries nearby. Will definitely look for this label in other cities whenever available.

We had a lovely stay at Nanping Shangmo Hotel, and it ticked almost all the boxes for a short and comfortable trip.
🔹 Excellent Location – The hotel is just a short walk from the bustling Nanping food street, where we had some of the best grilled oysters ever — so good we went back for seconds! The area is lively yet feels safe, even at night.
🔹 Comfortable Rooms – We booked the largest suite and a sunlight room, which were perfect for our group of four. The rooms are clean, new, and well-maintained, with a modern design. Just a note: the bathroom has a transparent glass wall, which might not suit everyone, but it worked fine for us.
🔹 Facilities & Amenities – There's a lift, which made luggage handling much easier. We also appreciated the unlimited supply of mineral water, a small but thoughtful touch that made our stay more comfortable.
🔹 Minor Downside – One issue we faced was with the room card, which often needed several taps before the door would unlock. We approached the front desk for help, but unfortunately, one of the male receptionists lacked patience, which was a bit disappointing given the otherwise good service.
Overall, Nanping Shangmo Hotel is a great value stay with excellent location and clean, modern rooms. Perfect for travelers who want to stay close to the action while enjoying comfort and convenience.
