Where do I start we simply loved everything about our stay at the edition. We stayed here April 18th - 21st and the staff specifically the concierge, night bell man on the 18th and front desk were beyond helpful and accommodating. I unfortunately lost the card with their names but those three guys helped my mom and I tremendously - from recommendations, transportations and other tidbits which made our stay very special. Lou Lou on the rooftop was exceptional and actually would remember our morning order which added that extra touch of personalization and guest service. Lisa I believe was her name at the rooftop bar (evening) was also fabulous. The Edition hotel is one of my favorite luxury boutique hotels and the Barcelona one didn’t disappoint - the rooms were gorgeous, clean and well appointed. The rooftop had breath taking views and the bar on the 1st floor was great for a nightcap. On top of the service, great rooms the hotel was in an exceptional location which made exploring super easy! We spent three days here and then moved to the W and it was nowhere near the level of luxury service - quite frankly we regretted having not stayed at the Edition for our entire stay!

We had the most wonderful experience at the Mercer Hotel. I'd rate it a 6 if I could as our visit there recalibrated the scale. The location was great. Everything was comfortable and the staff is amazing. I'm sure other reviews discuss the Roman wall, the location and the quality of the rooms. All of which were great. We couldn't believe the service by the staff, including concierge Mauro who recommended and made reservations for us at a wonderful restaurant about 1/2 mile away from the hotel (Sagardi), then, rather than giving us directions, walked us to the restaurant and introduced us to the proprietor. Wonderful Charcoal Grilled Steaks and Fish and the friendly Spanish hospitality we received throughout the country. The hotel is on a narrow street that doesn't have car access, but the staff helped us with luggage and taxis and it was all seamless. Breakfast was included in our booking and it was very good in a beautiful setting with beautiful china.

Visited here with my partner Checking in was quick and easy Originally we got a room without a bath, but wanted a bath so went to reception and paid for upgrade. Firstly, please let me thank you staff behind within the reception team as the staff I came across were a credit to your hotel. I had a booking with you for 7 nights from the 10th to 17th September stayed in room 701. Arrived on the Saturday evening at about 21.15hrs checked in, The gentleman behind reception who checked us in was great first thing he said was Mr & Mrs Barrett many congratulations to you both on celebrating your wedding anniversary, that along with the check in went really well and this made us feel special. Up to room Wow !! factor was really impressed however it was like a sauna No problems we can sort it tried to play around with the settings and struggled getting temp down, plus a few sockets in the room was not working. No letter wishing us congratulations Once we unpacked, we decided to have a look around and get our bearings. popped back to reception and mentioned about the Sockets next to bed not working in room and the temperature. the same gentleman said it's not a problem he can sort out the room temperature but sockets will have to wait till the morning, ok great thank you, can we please book the spa for Sunday around 5pm if its free, yes, he said no problems its book for us. that was it. Saturday night in the room was still very hot but we managed and by the morning it was nice and cool. Sunday afternoon there was someone different on so went to collect the key for the spa and towels off we went really excited as this was our anniversary day. Nothing in the spa was working apart from the pool with bubbles, the Steam room and Sauna was not on, went up to Reception asked the team they said it should be but I assured them nothing was on. we were asked to wait around 15 to 20 minutes which will give things time to warm up but we lost the experience by then. Once finished handed key back to Reception and asked if we could book a table in the restaurant tonight we were told this is closed and the bar is closed as well. But on the web site it says open !! so our plans were going side ways instead. I also mentioned again about sockets and was told we will be on it fiorst thing monday. Went up to room and ran the bath as going to have a jacuzzi, this didn't work reported this to the same person in reception, so we got dressed and went out for dinner. Monday going out said to the team we are out now so feel free to fix the sockets and Jacuzzi and will be back later on during the day. We got back quite late and visited a few sites within your city loads of photos, so by the time we got back didn't check nothing as we were really tired. Tuesday morning completely forgot to check to see if things were working as we had a very early start and a long day. came back late evening time and once again completely tired. Wednesday, I tried the sockets again and still not working so on my way out I mentioned to the team about these and i assumed the Jacuzzi would be the same. They were shocked and thought thes

This was one of the best holiday experiences that we've had. The young staff were quietly fantastic. We were given a warm welcome and checked in quickly. The room staff, reception staff and breakfast staff were all great. Nothing was to much trouble for them and they were all warm and friendly. The room was spacious with a good shower room. We had a cosy balcony room. The balcony was small but afforded a nice view of the avenue outside. It was worth the small amount extra as an inside room would have had no view at all. We had heard a lot about pick pockets and did have an experience of one on a local bus (who was summarily hounded off by locals who checked on us - he hasn't actually come near to us!) But this area felt really safe. We travelled a lot in Barcelona and didn't find a nicer area in our opinion. There were loads of fantastic places to eat within yards of the hotel. Great variety for a range of budgets. We were within walking distance of the beach, gothic quarter and other areas. Bus stops were right outside the hotel. We used this for a visit to Sagrada familia and park Guell. The rooftop bar and pool were superb. Although the pool is small, it was never overwhelmed and we spent most afternoons there. We simply could not fault the hotel. This is the only review I've written for anything but felt we had to say thank you.

We needed a hotel near Barcelona airport as my mum was flying to Australia and I was escorting her before returning home. This hotel looked good on booking.com and had free shuttle bus which was why I chose. It was renovated last year so is like a brand new hotel. Rooms were really nice only criticism were the pillows I found too deep. But bed was really comfy. Had gin and tonic in the bar on evening of arrival it was very good. All the staff were very friendly and spoke perfect English. You can walk to the local residential area in 5 minutes were there are lots of local Spanish bars and restaurants. We had menu of the day at one it was delicious and only €15 per person. The is good small gym and lovely roof sun terrace. We didn't check out the pool. Would definitely recommend if you have up to 24 hours in transit.

Mi marido y yo nos alojamos, siempre que tenemos ocasión, en esta cadena de hoteles y si lo hacemos es porque creemos que la relación calidad/precio es muy buena, aunque esta vez hemos pagado la habitación más cara que en otras ciudades europeas, no entendemos bien por qué. Se echa de menos una neverita pequeña en la habitación, pero salvo eso, el resto nos parece estupendo. Esta vez, en Barcelona, ha sido igual: buena cama, buenas almohadas, excelente cuidado y limpieza, decoración maravillosa de los espacios comunes, buena atención, gin tonics buenos en el bar con ambiente relajado.... Muy contentos, la verdad! De esta estancia destacaría la buena habitación que nos han dado, con balcón a la calle y, solo tenemos un ”pero”, que no arreglen con el ayuntamiento, la apertura de la terraza más allá de las 10 de la noche. Es insuficiente, y es una pena que los clientes no podamos aprovechar ese espacio tan maravilloso, al menos hasta las 12 de la noche, aunque fuera sin música. Las habitaciones son pequeñas, pero aún contando con eso, merece mucho la pena aloj**** en esta cadena. Muy recomendable!

I know it wasn’t stated on the website, but on our day of arrival we were expecting a kitchen with a stove or maybe a baking oven. With just a microwave, toaster and water boiler you can’t really prepare any meal. Also do I think that it would be a good idea to offer maybe a sponge, some dish soap or at least tabs for the dishwasher, otherwise I don’t know why there would be a machine like this after all. And my last suggestion would be to offer some basic spices like salt and pepper. They last long and are essential for every meal. Other than that I liked the apartment, loved where it was located and felt comfortable and safe. Also the check-in/ and -out were really easy and the people at the desk were always nice and friendly. Leaving your luggage at the apartment for some time after the check-out was also no problem.

A wonderful boutique hotel in the core of the city in a lively neighborhood surrounded by shops, cafes and restaurants . The metro is also quite close. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, clean and has a very comfortable bed. The staff are professional and very friendly. A big thank you to Raquel and Natalia on the front desk who helped us tremendously. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a personal experience.
