Hotel facilities were basic, but I knew that when I booked. Location was ideal for what I needed, and the staff were very friendly. I booked for 12 nights, and I found it a little frustrating that I had to request towels to be changed, as they make it clear rooms are not serviced every day for longer term stays. Would have also liked a internatiol razor power point like most hotels have around the world. But I understand this is an English Health and Safety ruling. Staff were always friendly and helpful.

Great location and value, easy access to Liverpool central, 10min metro or taxi. Staff were friendly and welcoming, small issue with bedding and towels, we asked for new as I had spilt a milkshake - towels were handed to me, which meant leaving my taxi waiting, and bedding was not changed meaning we had to return to damp bedding after a night out

We stayed for just the one night here and after a not particularly good day out for a funeral we returned to the hotel and were met by stacy and a colleague who absolutely made our day.. cheerful very chatty and generally interested in our trip.. what a ovely change to some hotel welcomes . Lovely hotel and rooms ..Highley recommended..

It feels like home! The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever experienced to sleep . The room temperature was perfect and clean; the staff were the friendliest people in the world and very welcoming and helpful. They always approach you with a smile, and you feel comfortable talking; Birkenhead is a lovely town, and people are amazing and welcoming. Im planning to go back because I felt very relaxed in this hotel, Special thanks to the very kind staff 👍🙏

I have to say just how lovely the staff are, especially Stacey & Steve. Though she had a bad knee, she went all out to make sure I had a room suitable forme and Steve came up to make sure the room was ok. Such lovel, genuine people & the room was good too. 😊

I can't rate this hotel highly enough! The staff are amazing and very accomodating, especially Staci and Caitlyn who go above and beyond for my mum when she stays. I can't thank them enough for everything they do. The rooms are always spotless. Thanks guys, you're the best ❤️

The good stuff first - the staff are unusually friendly and helpful. Luke, in particular, helped us unpack when we arrived because we were concerned we might fall foul of the 15 mins grace in the paid parking and organised housekeeping when we raised our concerns. Our room, however, was awful with grubby carpets and an unsecured ***** into the bathroom; the ceiling cracked and with paint peeling from it and stained and loose panels. the Bathroom extractor fan didn't work, which together with Premier Inn non opening windows, meant we had a sauna every time we showered. There was no 'Premier' in this Inn. On the suggestion of staff, we sent a note to hotel management with photos, but have had no response in two weeks.

I had booked 2 rooms for my family in Birkenhead as we were catching the night ferry so needed a place to rest and freshen up before catching the ferry. We had driven all the way up from Cornwall. I had emailed days beforehand to say that we were not staying the night but simply rest and freshen up and could we get an early check in, nobody replied to this email. Unfortunately there were a couple of crashes on the M5 so we did not get to the hotel until 3pm. When we checked in the lady said our rooms might not be ready, she went and talked to her colleague and then said the last 2 rooms have just been done and checked me in on the self service kiosk. The rooms were not together, not even on the same floor. This was highly inconvenient for us as we are one unit and have bags to share between us with small children. I didn't think it was even worth complaining as the woman rushed me out of reception and had already said we had the last 2 rooms, probably to stop me complaining as I'd clearly already emailed detailed we were 2 family needing 2 rooms. When I entered the room there was only 1 double bed and 1 single bed - i booked a family room it should be a double bed and 2 singles. We were that tired my daughters said don't bother complaining we will make do and share the single bed. The room is tired and dirty looking, we were so tired we just got straight into the bed and slept, woke up a few hours later to my son in the double bed next to me asking what was this stain in his side of the bed, a big brown stain! And another one beside it, the bedding looked like it hadn't been changed! It was dirty! The towels didn't smell fresh it smelt of deodorant and my husband is his room had stains on his bedding too as well as only 1 single bed instead of the 2 so our two sons had to share, absolutely been given the 2 worst rooms in the hotel and they hadn't even been cleaned properly. I paid for 2 family rooms and didn't get them, I know we weren't staying overnight but I paid full price for these rooms and expect them same level of cleanliness and customer service no matter how long I'm in that building, to wake and find a stain as big as that in the bed, it's revolting and no way the cleaner wouldn't have seen that if they actually changed the bed, I have photos of all the stains and dirt. I'm disgusted and our experience was not what we're used to as this hotel as we have stayed many time before in order to get the night ferry. We stayed up until 9pm and were quite frankly relieved to get out of those rooms. I feel robbed that I paid over £120 to stay half a day in such dirty rooms.

The service at this hotel is second to none. Friendly, welcoming and always go the extra mile. Rooms areu pristine and Ihad an amazing nights sleep. Stephen and his team are just fantastic and take the upmost effort to ensure the stay is perfect.

They say that all Premier Inns are the same. It’s true that you know exactly what facilities you are going to get. But what makes this one outstanding is the people who work there. Nothing is too much trouble. Even when they are supremely busy they will take the time to look after your every need. And all with a broad smile and a twinkle in the eye. There are many good hotels in Liverpool at double the price and much more but this gem is just one stop and a five minute walk through the most beautiful square across the water from Liverpool One. Just fantastic!

The thing I really value about Premier Inn is that they tend to get all the basics ie the important things, right. I had a lovely, clean and spacious room. The bathroom was very clean and the towels were good quality. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well - my room overlooked the access road to the Mersey tunnel but I couldn’t hear any road noise. Internally there was only minimal noise from the corridor. The Thyme restaurant has a fairly good menu but only a few dining options for vegetarians. The staff at this hotel are very friendly and helpful - they really make guests feel welcome. The location is excellent - close to lovely Hamilton Square, the train station and the bus routes.

Car parking there’s plenty of space in the car park and is charged at £9 but £7 with car park code from reception. Checking in was ok had to ring the bell to get access, which was fine with us. Room was clean and tidy. Evening meal was ok along with the service, there’s no bar facilities so drink are in bottles only. Breakfast was a calamity (not the only one to comment on that) ran out of beans literally (someone didn’t order enough by the looks of it) I did mention that to the staff, all I got back was sorry. Chef wasn’t very helpful. It’s not for us and we will not be back to the premier inn at Birkenhead.

The room i stayed in was very tired also the carpet was not very nice stuck to it a couple of times needs a lot of tlc staff very good but didn't eat as saw kitchen staff smoking outside in plain view of guests not particularly nice but the staff at reception were great sorted out the heating that wasn't working before we arrived back in evening.

Fantastic customer service from Caitlin and Luke on the 9th December approx 6pm arrival. Caitlin booked us in and was very friendly and helpful throughout the whole check-in process and remaining evening including our food order. Big shout out to Caitlin for going the extra mile and delivering a pizza to my room, I know that's not normally a service provided but was very impressed and happy with that bespoke customer service. Room - Very clean and tidy including the spotless bathroom. Couldn't fault this Premier Inn branch at all. I will 100% be staying here again for next business trip. Thank you

We cannot express more gratitude we have in this fab hotel - especially when you are greeted in such a way by the fabulous Staci and Caitlin!
