Fabulous hotel in the heart of Birmingham. Walk is not too far to Broad street which is where we were headed. The decor is tastefully done and the pool table on the 1st floor was greatly enjoyed for a little bit of relaxation and competitiveness. Stayed in a Penter plus room on the 7rh floor and despite the lack of bath robe and slippers which it stated on trip, the room was modern, fresh, clean and comfortable.

The location is bang in the middle of the city centre so it is well connected. Check in was smooth and we were allotted a room with an amazing view. There are additional amenities like a locker as well as an ironing board in the room. The breakfast spread had a delicious range from bakery, cereals, fruits, even waffles!! Overall, a lovely stay at Hamptonđ

1st room is front of lift
So I asked to change to QUIET room
She gave me new room at 426
Looks quiet since at the end of the hall
But after I finished put out my things and enter toilet
I can smell cigarette smell
Too lazy to ask to move room again so I just close the toilet door
Suddenly wake up around 4 am since thereâs a truck voices moving things outside my window đđ
Very noisy
And I left the hotel at 6am
Canât sleep again
When check out, the lady not bother to ask howâs my stay??
Since I stayed so many Holiday inn these week
They always asked when I did my check out
So I donât bother to tell her about the cigarette smell or the loud noise from the truck early morning

the service was great , however the room itself was very small leaving no room to be able to move around.
the bathroom door also had a huge hole cut out as a handle which we thought was odd.
also 1 pillow which wasnât very thick left it so that me and my friend didnât get much sleep and woke up with pain in our necks .
canât fault the service though , the staff at the reception were lovely

Location is excellent with both Moor Street railway station and New Street railway station nearby. It's near to the malls where there is a M&S supermarket. There is also a lots of choice for food. Room itself has a small kitchen area which I didn't use. I had a comfortable stay and location is central enough to get around easily.

There is so much to unpack here when it comes to Selina Birmingham. Never again am I staying at this hellhole of a hotel. For a name like Selina, the hotel sure is nightmarish to stay at. It's shameful that the hotel shares the same name with my non-biological/cosplay partner. There is no breakfast but at least, the bedding, the pillows and the duvet are comfy (but most likely due to the fact that Iâm tired) and the wi-fi is decent. Unfortunately, this is where the compliments stop, especially when the dorm rooms are so dark, you have to turn on the flashlight on your phone in order to see. Not to mention, there is no television in the room I was staying in. To make matters worse, the dorm room is cold, coupled with no heating. I honestly don't mind the cold most of the time but the room temperature is too cold for my liking. Speaking of the ground floor, the Korean receptionist told me that I'm not allowed to eat my food at a table at the cafe and told me to climb the stairs all the way to the third floor in order to eat my food. It isn't fair, considering the receptionist with the short, dark hair tends to allow me to eat my food at a table at the cafe during the very early hours of the morning. I eventually lost my patience and yelled at the Korean receptionist. It's rare when I lose my patience. I threatened in a growly voice with, âI suggest you fill the pot noodle to the top with water unless you want a scathing, negative review to be blasted on the radio for everyone to hear?â. Finally, she got the memo. The rooms, bathrooms and toilets and facilities are unsanitary (for example, there are biscuit crumbs all over the bed sheets. I didn't know until I got out of bed), the entire hotel itself is not accessibility-friendly as if the lack of a lift and the staff not being accommodating towards disabled people such as myself isnât of any indication, the kitchen and the kitchen equipment on the third floor are dirty, there is no hot water in some of the bathrooms within the dorm rooms, the bathrooms and the dorm rooms are shared (therefore, there is no privacy), the lights keep turning themselves off if youâre idle (Iâm more used to turning on and off the lights on my own accord), you need to pay ÂŁ10 for a padlock which is complicated for disabled people and the list goes on. The toilets, bathrooms, kitchen etc are just as dirty as Badea Faulkner and Olive Allison Brown from the Avanzar House in Middleton, Manchester not cleaning up after themselves. And donât get me started on the staff being problematic. They arenât very useful to the point where I had to shout at them due to their language barriers and them not listening to me, let alone understanding me. This is troubling for autistic people like me. Never in all my years have I encountered such frustrating hotel staff members. Compared to the other hotels I've stayed at in the past, the hotel staff in these hotels were never infuriating. If a lack of staff doesnât tell you the appalling

PPengguna TetamuA nice hotel, however I was given the wrong room number on check-in, which was a little embarrassing. Rooms superb, breakfast very decent, location isn't that central though. I would stay again.
PPengguna TetamuI stopped here one night with friends for my birthday. The hotel is easy to get to, and the location is excellent as itâs located on Broad Street, near Brindley Place which hosts a wide range of bars and pubs. So if youâre visiting Birmingham to have a drunken, night out or a special occasion then this hotel is perfect. Thereâs also parking on site behind the hotel which is very handy, unfortunately the car park isnât discounted for guests stopping in the hotel. After waiting in a small queue, we attempted to check in at 14:30 (half hour earlier than check in âopensâ) we were told the room wasnât ready. Which wasnât an issue as they had luggage storage available. We can back to check in at 16:00 and the queue was horrendous. Iâve never seen a queue as big as this to check in for a hotel before. We waited for 20 minutes until we checked in. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. Although there were coffee cups left behind the curtains upon entry. The bathroom was very modern and had a walk in shower. The beds were unbelievably comfy and had plug sockets by the side of the bed which is a massive plus as not every hotel has this. Luckily, it was a quicker process checking out as you can just pop your keys in the âexpress checkout boxâ. Overall, a comfortable night stay in the heart of Birmingham, unfortunately the check in was horrific.
PPengguna TetamuIt's a chain hotel close to a busy airport, so:
A/ You should expect a noisy night from aircraft and a busy road outside or
B/ Ibis should have spent a bit more on noise insulation.
Whichever your view, it was a night disturbed by noise from outside. My view was A, up until 1am and I veered towards B thereafter.
That said, it was immaculately clean and the staff I encountered were polite, helpful and cheerful.
It is, as I say, close to the airport and I booked it with the idea that I could walk from Birmingham International railway station to the Ibis. And I could walk from Ibis to the departure gate. In theory, yes I could have done that, but given the types of roads I would have had to walk along, I would have been in mortal peril if I had tried. A ÂŁ6 Bolt fare each way should be added on to the cost of your stay as the nearest bus stop is almost as far away from the hotel as the airport itself and requires a similar walk along dangerous roads for pedestrians.
To be fair, all of this was fine. I would have liked to know beforehand, though.
Of all the budget chains I think Ibis is, generally, my favourite.
PPengguna TetamuVery clean and modern. I had a room without a window, which was fine. Bed was a little firm for my comfort, but lots of pillows, soft fluffy towels & nice bathroom products plus hairdryer & full length mirrors were provided. Bathroom was a wet room with a bit of an awkward shower if you don't want to wet your hair & bathroom gets totally wet. Located in the heart of the jewellery quarter.
PPengguna TetamuI arrived past the check-in time, and reception was not around to receive me. Nonetheless, there was a number on the door to call, and I was talked through the process of getting in with the code, and to collect my keys. The gentleman was incredibly patient with me, which was appreciated as it was late, and I was exhausted from a long work day and it was my first time in Birmingham so I got lost finding my way from the train station to the accommodation.
The apartment was incredibly spacious. The living room and kitchen made me feel right at home, and the kitchen was well equipped. There were two bedrooms and two bathrooms - I was a single traveller so I didn't need to use all that space at all.
The bed I slept in was marvellously comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, the water pressure was strong, and I really have zero complains about it.
Location wise, there is a mall next door, although by the time I arrived it was closed, and when I left for my work meeting at 7am the next morning it wasn't opened yet. There were also some restaurants by the waterfront around the corner.
I think this is a great accommodation for families or friends travelling together.
SShazGreat location- right in the heart of city center as well as next to the mailbox with lots of restaurants nearby. Staff are very friendly and the bar serves late too.
JJSTWComfort Inn Location is great, just next to Birmingham New Street train station and within 3 mins walking distance to Birmingham China town, so plenty of restaurants and cafe surround this hotel.
The only downside is the shower area, the curtain was short and water spilling everywhere when take shower.
Overall I would rate 4.0 for Comfort Inn due to excellent location and reasonable price
JJayDizzleA fantastic location for a short stay. Really good facilities and spotlessly clean. Honestly it was quite hard to fault, although the staff did seem somewhat overworked.
PPengguna TetamuHotel is not in a bad location for trips outâŚ
But the hotel needs a lot of improvements! The breakfast buffet you are left waiting for them to replenish food items , you have to keep asking staff where are the cups for tea as none replaced there was queues because of the location of the toaster, be careful if you ask for water to be replaced in room as I was charged but then got a refund after complaining..the executive room was good but I know the standard rooms are not great. The staff were good but there needs better organisation. The pool area dated and no set time they seem to pick and choose open close times. We had quite a few issues not all mentioned here which we told reception about we was not happy and noticed other customers complaining.. we would not stay again and certainly not 4 star 3 at most .. canât comment on spa treatments as did not use but looking at the spa Iâm sure there are better ones around. Golf course 9 hole in good condition but outside hotel area need tidying up bit scruffy.
