Since my last review of Villa Del Faro was in 2020, I thought it was time for me to do a quick update. In short, if read my prior review, it still stands an an accurate representation of our experiences there. We have stayed at Villa Del Faro 6 times prior to last week - 5 times in Dec or Jan and once in April. Every visit was a wonderful as our first. We have stayed in Casita Dos North, Casita Dos South, Casita Tres, and Azul. We have our favorite, but all are great. While we haven't stayed in the Stone Cottage on the beach (just a little too rustic fror us), but every time we have been there it was occupied and the people in it loved it. Well, except for 1 person who was was scared of a gecko that was walking around in it, while her partner loved it. That was an interesting dinner conversation to overhear ;). This past week was our first visit in the month of October. And this time we brought the family - 11 people total in 5 rooms. There was 1 other person there in 1 of the other rooms. One word of caution - it is still quite hot in Oct. They originally planned to open Oct 19 (as many places do in Baja), but they opened 4 days early to accommodate us. The rooms do not have AC, but they do have ceiling fans and put in additional fans for us in the rooms. So just be prepared if you come that early in the season. As usual, the people at VDF were wonderful, gracious, and excellent hosts. During this trip we swam in the pool and in the warm sea, and some of us did a little snorkeling and boogie boarding at the adjoining beach - they have snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, surfboards, and even a couple of kayaks to borrow. most of us also drove up the coast for a snorkeling excursion out of Cabo Pulmo. The meals were excellent and the accommodated several dietary issues such as 2 gluten free persons, 1 seafood allergy, and 1 person child who doesn't eat seafood. On our departure day, 9 of us had to leave early for flights (or driving people to flights) and they graciously made wonderful breakfast burritos for the drive. Speaking of the meals, this past January we decided to try a different place on the East Cape about 7 miles south of VDF. It was fine, but we found that we missed VDF and ended up driving there for dinner one night. During this trip we wanted to have a small birthday celebration while there and while 10 of us were off snorkeling in Cabo Pulmo, they worked with the 1 remaining person to set it up, hang the pinata's, set up dinner in a special area, etc. They even made 4 kinds of birthday cake (2 gluten free and 2 regular. As my first first stated, the roads are not for everyone - but they are passable. And the road in from the airport gets graded in mid Oct. For this trip, the road from the south along the coast had not been smoothed out yet since storm season, so we took the route from SJD. It was pretty smooth for the first 2/3rds and quite interesting for the final 1/3. When we left on Sat, they had c
