PPengguna TetamuEverything was great specifically the girl at the front desk was awesome, she helped us when we had a problem with the door lock of our room, we tried everything but could not open it I guess the battery was dead. She was very helpful, whenever I would visit Ottawa I would definitely like to stay at the same hotel. Her name is Navneet I want to give her 10 stars, thanks Navneet.

BBarry(HK)Room cleanliness and air conditioning were good. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was simple but good in quality. However the breakfast queue was long and food replenishment was not done in pace with the flow, ended up in a long queue not moving as people stayed in the front of the queue stayed in the queue waiting for replenishment. The dinning space was insufficient that could not accommodate the big crowd.
We ran into issue setting up the sofa bed. Calling the front desk asking for assistance we were stunned by a reply saying they would not send staff to help but urging us to try for another attempts and kept reassuring us the sofa bed operation was simple and easy. Finally we got that sorted out with help from other hotel customers..
A major disappointment that totally ruined my experience with the hotel was the way my enquiry was handled towards an unknown charge after I checked out.
In the check out bill, it was just a charge billed to my credit card without indicating what service or item I was billed for. While my family did not order or buy anything at all from the hotel and we were in a rush, I did not check the bill upon check out until 5 days later I saw it in my credit card account. I sent an email to the hotel reservation (that was the only email channel I found from the hotel home page) to enquire about the charge and no reply was received ever towards my enquiry and that's what I was hit. Although the unknown charge was refunded after another week, I did not feel good with the way they work. I frankly accept mistakes made by the front desk or the account team for incorrect bill, but I do not accept ignorance and zero communication from the backend on my enquiry. This is something the hotel should improve.

YyatsenenokWe stayed at the hotel for 6 nights, they had issues checking us in as the booking was made through trip.com which went through *******. Somehow they figured it out later.
The room was spacious, clean. They provided room services every day except for one day when they were understaffed.
Shower has only half door so be ready for some splashes. I recommend bringing your own body wash (they provide soap which is hard to wash off) and shampoo.
People who can't sleep with noise in the room, should consider their options. Air conditioning is super loud (like factory machine) , it constantly woke us up at night, there is no option to open a window instead.
Breakfasts are always the same, not a single thing changes: fried/boiled eggs, sausages, pork?cutlets, pancakes, apples, oatmeal, bread. The dining room was always overcrowded, the space should be at least twice as big. Sometimes we came and there was no food, so we had to wait for someone to come and bring food (they don't have a person there on a regular basis).
I can't say our experience was bad, but it was not great either.

The bathrooms are beautiful, very clean, and well-appointed, as are the rooms themselves.
Very pleased and will stay here again when my travels take me through this area once more.

AAlicia York-BirdI expected more from Glö than I received. I chose Glö as a ”treat” for a couple's getaway, as it was a newer hotel and appeared like it would be snazzier than the usual fare.
Pros: The bathroom was very nice, and the complimentary toiletries are top notch. The rooms are very clean. The mattress was very comfortable and the TV was a decent size.
Cons: The rooms are incredibly small, and while they are nicely furnished, the tiny ”couch” seat was more form than function (i.e. prettier than it was comfortable). The front desk staff seemed very new and clueless on basic hospitality essentials, like how to work the in-room television. It also took ages for a response from front desk on how to work the TV and the issue wasn't even resolved.
I probably will not stay here again nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone I know, as there are so many hotels to choose from in Kanata that offer better, more knowledgeable service and better pricing.

PPengguna TetamuWhere to begin... first of all, when I made this booking, there was no mention whatsoever of HEAVY DUTY CONSTRUCTION beginning every day at 7 a.m. Naturally upon checking in, I'm informed that there is intense construction happening right next door. And yes, it was brutal. I also SPECIFICALLY booked this hotel because there was an option to reserve now, pay at the hotel. Here are some direct quotes from my booking confirmation email: ”You'll need to pay upon check-in at Andaz Ottawa Byward Market, by Hyatt,” ”Your payment will be handled by Andaz Ottawa Byward Market, by Hyatt,” and ”Pay at Hotel.” Sure enough, I get there, and the money's already been taken out of my credit card and I owe nothing to the hotel upon check-in. (This matters for reimbursement purposes at the company I work for.) Lastly, I was told when I checked in that housekeeping would be visiting every third day -- that was fine by me. But the very first day, I come back to my room after a long day and someone's been there, replacing towels, removing the minimal garbage in there, etc., which I was not at all prepared for given that I was advised the opposite. It made me extremely uncomfortable because all of my personal effects were left throughout the room, not expecting housekeeping given that I was advised no housekeeping would be coming until the third day. I'll be honest, that creeped me out as someone travelling alone. The staff were apologetic but I didn't find their explanation at all sufficient. (The housekeeping manager and front desk attendant completely contradicted each other.) Overall, such a chaotic stay. Oh, and, the heat in my room didn't work. Had to request a space heater... I mean, c'mon.

MMAmeen.1. The breakfast options were very limited. A greater variety would significantly improve the experience.
2. One of the male reception staff members was quite rude. Staff should be polite, courteous, and welcoming—a simple smile can go a long way in creating a positive atmosphere.
3. It was disappointing to see that the welcome packet was only given to selected guests during check-in. This inconsistent treatment does not reflect well on guest service.
4. The location was not ideal, and the area outside the hotel felt unsafe, especially at night.
5. On a positive note, the room itself was very good—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.
6. The room servicing staff was very friendly
