We stayed in double room with extra sofa bed and it was good value for money. The room was decent size for three persons and it was absolutely nice, modern, clean and well equipped. If you’re coming to this hotel, you don’t need to bring hair dryer as there is regular hair dryer instead of hair blower in the bathroom. The staff was super welcoming and nice. Bonus - there is coffee company nearby if you don’t get breakfast in the hotel.

Great location and staff, but poor cleanliness I liked this hotel overall, mainly because of its fantastic location right in the center of Amsterdam. It was extremely convenient for walking around the city, and all the main attractions are very close by. The staff was friendly, multilingual, and helpful with everything. They gave us great recommendations on where to go and even lent us an umbrella for the rain. Our room on the 4th floor was very spacious, especially by Amsterdam standards. However, the cleanliness was a major disappointment. The room was poorly cleaned: there was a lot of dust, the closets were dirty, and the coffee machine was so filthy that we didn't even want to use it. My overall impression is not bad, but due to the lack of cleanliness, I would not stay at this hotel again.

While I understand that hotels have strict no-smoking policies and I am willing to accept the applicable penalty if a violation occurred, nothing justifies the way your staff handled the situation. Despite me clearly instructing your staff not to enter my room, they forcefully entered without my permission. At that moment, I was not properly dressed, making the situation extremely embarrassing and a serious invasion of my privacy. This conduct was completely unacceptable. Furthermore, during this interaction, two members of your staff spoke to me in Dutch in what appeared to be an abusive and mocking manner. Although I do not understand Dutch, their tone, gestures, and overall behaviour were intimidating, disrespectful, and deeply humiliating. No guest should ever be treated in such a degrading way. The second issue concerns my food delivery. I had ordered food late at night, and it was left at the reception. When I went to collect it a few hours later, I was informed that the food had been thrown away. I was never contacted, no attempt was made to inform me that my order had arrived, and no explanation was provided as to why my personal property had been discarded. This is completely unacceptable and demonstrates a shocking lack of respect for guests and their belongings. The combination of these incidents reflects an alarming lack of professionalism, respect for guest privacy, and basic customer service standards. I expect the following: 1. A formal investigation into the conduct of the staff involved. 2. A written explanation as to why my room was entered against my explicit instructions. 3. An explanation as to why my food delivery was disposed of without my consent or any attempt to contact me. 4. An apology addressing the unacceptable treatment I experienced. 5. A review of your staff’s conduct and training to ensure that no other guest is subjected to such behaviour. I chose Mövenpick expecting a high standard of hospitality. There wasn’t a kettle in the room & mineral water are not provided. So amenities are at its minimal. Room service needs to be request but they just top up towels generally. Overall, it is convenient as the metro is right infront of the accommodation.

Very nice and clean hostel. The reception staff were very friendly. We booked at the last minute and did not expect such a good quality room, but everything was even better than we thought. The hostel is near the ****************** and under a big bar, but it was not too noisy. Most importantly, there was no ******** smell in the room. The bathroom and toilets were also very clean. Highly recommended.

Overall, I had a fairly good experience staying here. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help, which I really appreciated. However, there were a few issues. The bedside area was quite dusty and didn’t seem properly cleaned. Also, there was some confusion with the bed arrangements, and people ended up sleeping in the wrong beds, which was a bit inconvenient. That said, aside from these points, the overall stay was still pleasant. With some improvements in cleanliness and organization, this place could be even better.

Hotel ibis Amsterdam Center is located in the city center of Amsterdam, right next to Central Station and only a 10-minute walk to Dam Square. It near China Town and Red Light Secret Street too Important it is next to Central Station which the PLUS to us 😍🥰😘

The Hotel Library has an unbeatable location and room size! Spacious big bed, enough walking space in the room and nice bath/toilet size too. Location wise it is on the very main road - walking distance of 8-9 minutes from Centraal Station and opposite to the floating Chinese restaurant. The views of the road from our room were really amazing too. Its heater quickly heats up the room. TV is okay size and has few English channels - who doesn’t like to watch a TV in the hotel room before going to bed! Their room service is good - they make the bed and give fresh towels. There are few things that kind of take away one or two stars: - the elevator, though we are happy that they have one, but the one installed is very slow and you have to keep the buttons pressed and if you take the fingers off it stops midway - we asked for top floor since the views are always nicer from a height and they gave us the 3rd floor (top most) however, the hotel must clarify that after 2nd floor there is no elevator to the 3rd floor and to top it up, the stairs to the 3rd floor are so steep they reminded me of exercise called spiderman mountain climbers! - their room service team however do not clean the area around the kettle. We had sugar dropped and used cups kept and they wouldn’t clean on daily basis saying the cups are to be cleaned by the guests - this was shocking! I expect this to be part of cleaning duty irrespective whether i stay one night or four! - TV channels - out of the few that they have most of them wouldn’t air any content and just names of the channel which is quite irritating when you are given only two-thee channels to flip through. Overall i rate it a 3.5 / 5 for the staff at the reception were really polite - all of them! Happy to recommend this!

We spent our winter holiday here and there are plenty of local groceries stores around. The train station is just a breeze walk away so it’s easy to travel around. The Zaanse Schans (windmill attraction), Zaandam (‘Lego’ house) is just few stations away from the hotel. Stay wise it’s comfortable but can get tad abit noisy as the sound insulation between walls are rather weak. All in all we will definitely stay here again!
