"It was my first ever stay with any Ibis hotel. There is a free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel which is convenient. They say that check in is available after 15:00 but they let us use the room before 14.:00. The room was good but the central AC was not working there so we upgraded the room in €15 for two nights to their AC room. Although they do mention at the booking that the room will have AC/heating. But the system was not working as they said due to repair so for our ease we upgraded our room. They did offer a great price for an upgrade which is good. I enjoyed their breakfast as well which was fresh and tasty. The cleanliness of the place was amazing and we had a really good sleep."

"Clean rooms with a cool interior. Self check-in was smooth too. Room was well-heated. They supplied us with fresh towels everyday. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is perfect for those going for concerts in the Ziggo Dome or watching games at the stadium nearby. Plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. The Bijlmer ArenA train station was also situated very close to the hotel making it convenient for tourists like us."

"We recently stayed 4 nights at the hotel and overall had a lovely experience. We had originally booked an Executive Premium King Room but were pleasantly upgraded to a Junior Suite upon check-in, which was a really nice touch. The hotel also made a thoughtful gesture for my partner’s birthday, with complimentary chocolates waiting in the room on arrival. The room itself had clearly been recently renovated and felt fresh and modern. The bedroom and living area were very spacious and comfortable. However, the bathroom felt quite small for a suite. I would have expected double basins and more bench space, as well as a bathtub, which I assumed would be standard for this room category. There were also a few minor practical issues — the shower hose was difficult to manoeuvre and tended to spin, and the towel racks positioned over the toilet felt a bit awkward. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options, and the addition of Moët champagne for mimosas was a lovely touch. Service throughout our stay was great, and the hotel was consistently clean and well maintained. We also dined twice at the in-house café/restaurant for lunch and dinner. The food was delicious, though a slightly broader menu would have been appreciated. The location is fantastic — within easy walking distance to everything, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a very pleasant stay with a few small areas for improvement."

"The hotel is very good and is near to the tram station is around a 5-7 minutes walk. You can walk with people at night there’s always some people walk back together to the hotel. The room is very clean and staff are friendly. A good choice to live here as it is budget and good location."

"Unfortunately, my experience with this hotel was quite disappointing . The first issue happened when I arrived for check-in. I was told at the counter that check-in was only available after 3pm, so I left my luggage with the hotel and informed the staff that I would return at night to check in. However, when I returned at night, the main entrance door was already closed for security reasons. I was completely blocked outside because no one had informed me that the main entrance would be locked after a certain time, and that guests could only enter through another door by tapping their room card. The problem was that I had not checked in yet, so I obviously did not have a room card. There was a machine outside to contact the front desk, but no one responded when I tried to use it. I had to figure out how to get into the building myself, which was extremely frustrating, especially after travelling and arriving at night. The second issue was when I checked out in the morning and wanted to store my luggage. I was then told that luggage storage would cost $5.30. I found this quite surprising, as I had not been informed about the charge beforehand. Since I had plans, I have no choice to paid for it ."

"Overall experience was great, one of the late morning check-in male staff was really welcoming and even upgraded me to a higher floor with a fantastic view of the river. But since the checkin is 3pm, when I got back, another burlier guy got us our keys but was way too serious and sombre. It's fine but a smile would go a long way. One tiny irk was the lack of bedroom slippers in a carpeted room. I feel it should be basic. And this is the one time I didn't bring a just-in-case pair and i was caught out. Anyway, location is good, tram connection to the Centraal Station just across the street or a 10min walk."

"I had a wonderful stay thanks to the hotel’s exceptionally attentive service. The front desk responded incredibly quickly, delivering luggage and a toothbrush in no time. When I picked up my stored bags, it was raining outside, yet the front desk staff still helped carry my luggage downstairs and loaded it into the car. Their efficiency, thoughtfulness, and dedication truly went above and beyond. Highly recommended!"

Holding to stay away from city center is a brilliant idea. This business area is clean and very near to bus stop , train station and tram station. The Albert Heijn XL inside a neighborhood mall is just 14 mins walk away. Breakfast spread is awesome. I would highly recommend even for tourists to stay here , as it isn’t a must to stay at the central which is crowded and overall dirtier and noisier. Everything is just a tram away, and there is a day cap or a day ticket for transport, so why not. Of course downside is that commuting around also takes time .

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at Swissôtel Amsterdam was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. I would like to sincerely thank the entire team for making our visit so enjoyable, but I would especially like to recognize Mark, who truly made our stay unforgettable. His professionalism, patience, kindness, and calm approach were outstanding. He took the time to help us with everything we needed and made us feel genuinely welcome. Mark is a real asset to Swissôtel, and I sincerely hope the management recognizes the exceptional service he provides. Our room was spotless, and the housekeeping standards were among the best I have ever experienced. Despite the hotel being located right in the heart of Amsterdam, the room was incredibly quiet—we couldn’t hear any outside noise, which made for a perfect night’s sleep. The location is unbeatable, with Dam Square and all the main attractions just a short walk away. Everything you need is right on your doorstep. Thank you once again to the entire Swissôtel Amsterdam team for such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Very convenient location and easily accessible to nearby streets, restaurants, and shops. The hotel is also right next to Central Station, only about a 3-minute walk away, which makes getting around very easy. The room was comfortable and overall quite good. A pleasant and convenient stay!

I had a great stay at this hostel and would definitely recommend it. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the check-in process was easy. The room and shared facilities were clean and well maintained. The location was excellent, with easy access to public transport, restaurants, and local attractions. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, making it easy to meet other travelers. Overall, it was excellent value for money, and I would happily stay here again.

Great location - short walk to the Muiderpoort station and a 5 mins train ride into Amsterdam Centraal! For the price, the accomodation was very reasonable and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. House keeping comes by everyday so you always have a clean room and towels. A fridge in the room is also very handy. Staff are there 24/7 and very helpful.  The walls are thin, so if you have noisy neighbours you can hear everything, so it could be annoying!  Overall, great stay in Amsterdam!

I was a bit worried after booking this hotel due to the bad reviews I saw but honestly my experience was absolutely fine. The room and bed was clean. It was quiet and the location was excellent.
