I am writing to express my deepest gratitude and highest praise for the exceptional service provided by your entire team during my recent stay. As a frequent visitor to Koh Samet, this trip truly stood out, and I experienced a genuine sense of “home away from home.” First and foremost, I was thoroughly impressed by your seamless one‑stop transfer service from Rayong Pier to the resort. It was thoughtful, well‑coordinated, and made the journey completely stress‑free. Furthermore, I would like to extend a special thank you to your Housekeeping and Guest Services teams. On the day of my check‑out, while en route to Pattaya, I received a phone call from the hotel informing me that I had left a T‑shirt in my room. To be completely honest, the item itself held very little monetary value, and I initially thought of leaving it behind. However, to my absolute surprise, your team proactively went above and beyond by asking for my hotel address in Pattaya and arranging an express courier to send it to me. Receiving that package at my hotel in Pattaya was a moment of pure surprise and delight. What I wish to commend is not merely the return of a lost item, but the extraordinary, proactive, and caring attitude of your staff. They treated my belongings with the utmost respect and care, regardless of their worth. This level of hospitality is rare and truly exemplary. Please convey my sincere compliments to the entire team, especially the housekeeping staff on duty. Your exceptional service attitude has ensured that Sai Kaew Beach Resort will always be my first choice when returning to Koh Samet. Thank you once again for an unforgettable stay.

Location is awesome- away from party music but only 5 minutes walk to more action:) Breakfast is great and it’s really fantastic value especially if you are a couple. I normally stay in the bungalows, but spoilt myself with the beach front cabins. Sound of the sea all night- massive bed. Daily cleaning:)

Came for 4 days and 3 nights with my girlfriend. Left wishing we’d booked five. Location does a lot of heavy lifting here — directly on the sea, with its own beach entrance, so the distance between your bed and your toes in the sand is essentially a bad excuse. Plenty of greenery around too, which keeps it feeling like a retreat rather than a tourist trap. We visited off-season, which I’d quietly recommend to anyone: calm enough to actually relax, busy enough that you don’t feel like you’re the last people on earth. Cleanliness is good for what you pay — not spotless luxury, but they clearly care, and it shows. Rooms come in different categories and price points, so there’s a fit for most budgets. Food is where this place genuinely punches above its weight. Beach bar and restaurant by the water, separate breakfast area in the morning — both excellent. Quality is high, prices are fair, portions are honest (you won’t leave stuffed, but you won’t leave hungry either). The breakfast specifically might be the best I’ve had at a hotel in all of Thailand. Bold claim. I stand by it. They also offer massages — can’t review them personally, as I was fully committed to my beach-lying responsibilities. Priorities. The staff needed a little warm-up time at first, but once the ice broke, they were genuinely lovely. Think of it less as cold service and more as a slow burn — worth the patience.

After booking, I wrote them over Trip.com, but never got an answer. When we went there personally to ask the day before check-in, the front-desk lady ripped my phone out of my hand without asking, to “check the booking”. We checked in into a room on the first floor, which was in front of a shallow pool. Room was spacious, with the bathroom divided in three sections. In the toilet section, the window can’t be opened, and there is no ventilator. There is a safety box, a beach bag, two umbrellas, a fridge, a kettle, and even a Nespresso machine. However, even though there are two cups and two glasses, there is only one capsule of Americano and one capsule of Espresso, and you have to buy the water, rather expensively, at the bar. There is no laundry rack on the porch or balcony. Bedsheets were spotless, but the bed was wet, hence we woke the next morning feeling like we’d slept on the beach. There are no bedside lights. In the next room, the huge TV was dangerously dangling off its 360° stand, and the balcony was dirty, with only the bathtub being spotless. They have few employees and many managers, with the employees doing what they can for many hours a day. Breakfast options are very limited for people with a plant-based diet. Beach towels are not always available at the pool area. However, the white-sand beach is easily accessible, and there are many butterflies and birds around the property. It is very romantic and nature-bound.

The Silversand was the perfect stay on Koh Samet. Our garden room was clean and spacious. Towels were provided everyday without asking. I truly enjoyed the breakfast, it was tasty with the best view of the beach. My only shortcoming was the water spout in the shower was not the best, but it didn’t take away from our experience.

Perfect location right on the beach. The beachfront restaurant is very good and caters to a variety of tastes. The rooms are decent. The hotel is more geared toward younger guests, who visit in large numbers, but it can also be a good choice for families who do not mind the lively atmosphere.

I had an amazing stay at Kira Baya on Koh Samet and would definitely recommend it overall. Ace and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The rooms were exceptionally clean, very well maintained, and we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. Both breakfast and dinner were enjoyable, with good variety and quality. We also really appreciated having access to the kayak, which added a fun touch to the experience. One thing to note, as others have mentioned, is that the beach in front of the property is quite stoney and could benefit from some cleaning. Additionally, the hotel is located at the far end of the island, so getting around requires some planning. There is a shuttle service available, but it is not included in the stay and not directly provided by the hotel, which is something other hotels tend to handle better. That said, I was able to rent a scooter for 100 THB per hour, which gave me a great opportunity to explore the island independently. Overall, despite a few minor inconveniences, this was a fantastic stay with excellent service, and I would happily return

Everything is what you would expect from a resort. I stayed in a chalet which was nice. The chalets could do with a bit of tlc. There is a step form the bedroom area to the bathroom that could do with a yellow ***** or something so you see it. Breakfast buffet is what you expect, had some food one evening while watching the fire show, the food was excellent. Not ideal for early sleepers as music is on until midnight, but I had a Seaview chalet so the ones further back might not be affected. All in all a solid 7/10

I had a wonderful stay! As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe and at ease throughout my visit. The environment was quiet and peaceful, which made it easy to relax. The room was comfortable and well-kept, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The firework show was such a lovely bonus and made the experience even more special. I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it.

My most favourite place to stay at Koh Samed. I will stay here in future again. I love the swimming pools, breakfast was delicious, I enjoyed every moment. I stayed for 9 nights. All staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. Resort is walking distance from the beach, restaurants and shops.
