MMM888mmThis newly opened property is located in a quiet and peaceful area next to a well-known restaurant, making it a great place to relax. The staff were service-minded, friendly, and very helpful, which made the stay pleasant and welcoming. Since the property has only recently opened, there are still some areas for improvement, but this is understandable and hopefully the management will continue to enhance the overall experience over time.

SSebastian ParinThe location are amazing and also the hotel have a lot of green area, room was so comfy even I choose the standard room however every morning some staff shouted so loudly it’s wake me up due to there is no sound proof of the hotel!
If they inform staff to not shout in the morning that’s would be nice! Ah one more thing, hotel breakfast was good and yummy!

From the ao prao pier to kho Samet, the boat ride was smooth and when we got there, unfortunately our rooms were not ready but changed in the toilet and was able to enjoy the beach and pool while we waited.
Walking distance to the down town where lots of restaurants.
Hotel's restaurant was good. Delicious breakfast with many choices of bread, cheese, fruits and hot dishes. Everything was quite tasty. Dinner at the beach club Winnks was good, too.Live band performance, on site fire show. Foods were good and drinks were amazing.
Maybe it is because of the season we traveled but the waves were quite strong and water did not seem clear.
I have been to ao prao beach before and I believe for a family with small children, I recommend there.
If you are group of friends looking for excitement, maybe here is better.

PPengguna TetamuLovely resort and the rooms are so aesthetically beautiful, the resort is located in main beach, Sai Kaew beach and so convenient that 7-eleven and restaurants are in walking distance.
Also very near to Nadan pier as well.
Have to give additional 200 bahts if you use bath tap.
Overall, good stay here.

CChris 王墨迪Overall the hotel has certainly fallen over the past 3 years and it’s pretty sad to see this happen, if you’re a single traveler or a couple I would recommend but I couldn’t recommend the hotel to families in its current state.
Management: Great management they listen to complaints, they are responsible and try to solve all issues. Sadly the management don’t have so much to work with these days.
General staff: A large percentage of the staff are Cambodian and living in limbo with the current issues between both countries. With the exception of one or two Cambodian staff most are either depressed and miserable or damn right rude, unhelpful and disrespectful. (The floor manager explained this himself)
Rooms: Nice and simple rooms the do the job but aging fast. The rooms look good but are not high quality materials and it shows the labor and material quality is low and cheap. Showers have virtually no pressure when the hotel is busy and the water won’t reach higher than luke-warm.
Location: I have to say it’s one of the best locations on the island when considering location and facilities and I guess this is their main selling point. They have shops, bars, restaurants, coffee shop and more.
Patrons: Most of the year the majority of visitors are going to be Tha and Asian, they are respectful, they have manners and they will be great to holiday alongside. During Christmas to New Year there were too many rude Europeans especially Swedish tourists, these tourists camped and took over large areas of the bar and restaurants, they moved around furniture, they were rude and disrespectful to other tourists leaving trash noise and mess wherever they visited. (Staff and management ignored)
Note: This used to be a great hotel and I have continuously visited over the past several years. Unfortunately I have begun to see a degradation of the hotel, the attitude towards western tourists (due to poor behavior of westerners) as well as issues related to the diplomatic issues between Cambodia and Thailand. I due hope this improves in the future.
With new staff or new immigration laws as well as new investment into the hotel it could easily thrive once more.

PPengguna TetamuThe location is really far off. In the last corner of the island. If you don’t have a motorcycle you don’t get around well.
There is a shuttle bus which costs around 120 to get to the main area one way for two, but it isn’t that reliable. It is supposed to leave once per hour at 30min after the full hour but sometimes it leaves 5min early and you are stranded for the hour, sometimes you wait until 45min after the hour.
The friendlieness of the staff was from super genuinely friendly and helpful to „ I don’t give the slightest **** for you“ really depends on the person. Breakfast was good, especially the thai soups.
Eating dinner there is very expensive and not that good. The restaurant location outside is spectacular. With view over the sea in many directions.
The huts where you stay are simply too small. I. Essence only a bed that you can walk around. No desk or something. No shelves or something where you could store or hang clothes. You have to live out of the luggage your suitcase. The issue is : there is only space to have one opened at the time, no space for two. That makes it rather inconvenient. The water in the romm is in glass bottles , but it is actually tab water smells like chlorine. I gor stomach pain drinking only one. We were told if we need drinking water , we must use the overpriced water from the minibar.
The beach wasn’t that great. You don’t walk on sand and there was lots of rubble in the water, not pleasant to swim. I would not go there again

Very clean room and maids very sweet and friendly
The grounds are clean and well looked after

The only problem I have with this hotel when you are paying nearly 3500 THB a night is not enough beach furniture
When see people not guest at the hotel coming early and reserving their chairs and umbrella by put down a towel and moving furniture around then going away for a few hours coming back with friends
There is one umbrella and 3 chairs per set
Most people are in couples so only need 2 chairs
If have children staff should provide a mat under the umbrella
Staff shouldn't let guests move furniture around
This way more guests at hotel can get a space on the beach
We had breakfast at 7.30am and by 8am we had too rush too get our space on the beach before all gone
A nice hotel and nice clean beach
Just stop non guests using furniture and moving around
When you are paying good money too stay here
You want a spot on the beach
The other option is too sit in restaurant all day
If we come back too Koh Samet this hotel would be a back up option

SSunéKWe had such a lovely stay at The Salil Hotel Sukhumvit 57 – Thonglor and would absolutely come back again.
The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Thonglor, close to great restaurants, cafes, and nightlife, but still peaceful enough to relax properly. It made getting around Bangkok very easy.
The hotel itself is beautiful, well maintained, and everything was spotless. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, which made our stay feel effortless.
Breakfast was definitely a highlight. There was a great variety of options, fresh ingredients, and something for every mood. It was the perfect way to start each day.
Most importantly, the staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and always helpful. From check in to check out, they made us feel welcome and taken care of.
Overall, such a great experience. Comfortable, convenient, and genuinely enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again.

JJules66This is a good low budget option to experience island life, but not that low budget £60 per night ( January 2026)
We are very familiar with island life in Thailand and appreciate that some things just don’t work as well.
The location of Malibu Samed Resort is gorgeous, it’s more or less situated on the beach of the small quaint Wong Duean Bay.
There are several beach restaurants available, the vibe is chilled, without the drinking or ******** culture. It’s lovely.
Our welcome was warm, the staff were great and happy to help with our luggage.
Our room is small 16 m² with 2 single beds, some hanging and storage space.
It has a rustic feel to it. There is a fridge which is always welcome, tea and coffee making facilities, which we always appreciate, as well as a safety deposit box & flat screen TV.
The bed and pillow are comfortable but not sumptuous.
Towels are provided and I would say are of typical island quality.
However the shower was an issue, obviously water is limited on the island and taking a hot shower was challenging but actually having a good supply of water either in the evening or morning was very hit and miss. Missed more often, it gets frustrating when you can’t have an adequate shower, that’s one of the reasons we move about frequently.
Breakfast is of limited quality but there are a variety of options including cereal, hot food both western & Thai.
Toast cereal and tea & coffee.
The pool area was hardly used during our stay so a nice quiet retreat from the beach was available.

SSam DockseyWas a reasonable stay for one night and the breakfast decent range of choice. Room was clean but the only thing which made me concerned was when it came to booking the grand deluxe room
It stated sea view room you can only see a little bit just a heads up for anybody staying here. Would stay here again in the future.
