"The room and service were decent. Perhaps with the rising prices in Thailand, it doesn't stand out as much anymore. To get to and from the hotel from the pier on the island, you'll need to take a songthaew. It's definitely more convenient to rent a motorbike if you're staying on the island, you can even ride to some small beaches in the south to relax. The hotel's restaurant has a nice ambiance and is good for a fancy meal. I'd recommend a street food stall I found – for about 200 baht per person, including four or five beers, the food was delicious. They even sent a small cake on my birthday night."

Apart from fundamentals (bread, condiments, omelet, coffee, tea, cereal, milk etc.), they served pork porridge, caramelized eggs with pork belly, spicy curry and rice."

"An absolutely terrible hotel!!! We were only informed on the afternoon of our check-in day that the front desk wasn't 24-hour and would close at 10 PM. This meant we had to rush like crazy after landing to check in by 9 PM (this information should have been provided *before* check-in). The room was incredibly old, with peeling paint around the outlets and on the walls. The most shocking part was the huge number of ants in the room, even on the bed itself!!! As a result, we got bitten and had a severe allergic reaction. We tried calling the hotel, but no one answered, and there was no one available to help. In the end, we had to squeeze into a friend's room. When we reported this to the hotel the next day, they only offered a 50% refund 😡😡😡. This is an incredibly irresponsible hotel."

"It’s one of the great choices for a quick, quiet weekend escape in Samed. The other is Paradee. Overall, it’s a beautifully located resort far distance in a serene spot with lovely private rocky beach, but in terms of facilities and overall experience, it feels more like a solid 4-star resort rather than a true 5-star standard. I highly recommend booking directly with the resort if possible. Direct bookings include complimentary boat transfers to the island as well as land transfers from the pier to the resort, which saves a lot of hassle. One thing I noticed was the high proportion of foreign staff. It felt like the resort lost a bit of that local Thai touch you usually expect when holidaying on the islands."
