CCooldayThe Samed Resorts group offers the guests a free boat shuttle service to Samed Island (even free car parking), which I find very convenient. The staff helped us loading the baggage to the boat and from the boat to the hotel. Ban Ploy sea is located right next to the pier with a few minutes walk. The check-in went smoothly. The staff was so helpful and friendly. He even offered me an upgrade room with the sea front view for 2 nights. The room was clean and comfy. At the back of the resort is a log house cafe, offering tasty cakes and fancy drinks. I feel really relaxed lying on a private beach. In the evening we were so lazy to go out, just had dinner at the hotel‘s restaurant every night. It was not cheap but everything was delicious. Overall, we are very satisfied. Highly recommended!

PPengguna TetamuThis hotel is clearly not a 4 star level. I would rate it a 2 star or 3 star max. The two good points about this hotel are its direct access to the beach and the delicious food at reasonable prices. Several negative points include the hotel being very old, old fashioned rooms, and zero hospitality services from all the staffs. There is no 24 hr. reception. If there is any emergency, you are all on your own. No one would pick up the mobile phone as well. You will never get a greeting anytime of the day starting from the reception, to house keeping staff or restaurant staffs. It clearly shows that they all have been untrained. I would recommend that you book this hotel only if you are looking for a budget, no frills hotel. If I visit Koh Samed again, I would book the 4 star hotel next door in an instant, the Samed Tamarind Resort.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaThe experience with the resort is great, the staff are so friendly and polite, the room is large and very clean, the bed is a big plus when it is so comfortable, I have such a very good sleep quality. I also have very good experience with the resort’s restaurant; they served delicious food at a reasonable price and in large portions.
One point you need to know: the beach has many sea urchins, which can cause a very painful injury if you accidentally step on one. So the beach is beautiful but not ideal for swimming, or even diving due to the water not being clear enough to see the corals and fish.
Overall, it is worth staying for a relaxing trip, if you wanna dive or have a great underwater experience you can book a one-day tour with the locals.

PPengguna TetamuThe staff is really helpful and will go all the way to make you feel welcome. The facilities are great. I appreciated the calm and exclusivity of the beach. I had to change my room because they gave me a twin bed ( and I'm travelling alone ) but I noticed that both the bathroom had the same issue : The sink is not as clean as you'd like to. In my first room, whenever I showered all the bathroom is flooded because of the door or maybe the whole design of the showed. That being said, I've enjoyed my stay and would've stayed longer if I could. It's frankly a good hotel, and the food is really delicious.

The room was comfortable and thoughtfully designed, with all the essential amenities. The bed was very cozy, and I appreciated how quiet the environment was, allowing for a good night’s rest.
The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to assist. Check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free.
Breakfast was simple but good, with a mix of Thai and international options—perfect to start the day.
Overall, this hotel offers great value for money. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Rayong and would be happy to stay here again.

The rooms are big and well equipped with a microwave oven & a set of dining utensils too - unheard of for a hotel room. The gym, pool, sauna are well maintained & popular with guests & locals too. Staff are very helpful with directions, etc. Truly value for money.

JJoebeverageI had a wonderful stay at this beachside hotel. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from a private beach where you can relax without the crowds. Waking up to the sound of waves and enjoying sunsets right from the balcony was a highlight. Another bonus is the nearby national park, easily accessible on foot, perfect for morning hikes and nature walks. The staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The only downside was the entrance area, which could use better street lighting as it felt a bit dark and unsettling at night. Overall, a fantastic getaway spot!

MMaria Z. from Canada.If you are picky, need private beach and a big swimming pool - this hotel is not for you. It is a nice small hotel, with small pool, great breakfast. There are rooms that can fit 4 people. It’s a 20 second walk to the beach, you can rent a beach chair or lay on the towel. This hotel only servers breakfasts, there is no lunch or dinner, but you can always get good food at Samed Villa Restaurant. It’s a pleaser stay for several days, lots of greenery on this hotel property, it’s small but cozy.
