Short weekend weekend trip to Bristol- location of this hotel is great, right in the middle of the city and also only 15 minute walk to Temple Mead station. The hotel exterior is very beautiful and the room was warm and comfortable.

Great place to live as a shared hostel, best among its competitors, staff is quite friendly and make u feel like home, some limitations may remove in near future as more improvements are coming to this place. Will be priority among others especially on these competitive rates... Good business model with better bedding mechanism.

Good basic facilities and a great breakfast. The guest house is in the centre of the club and bar area of Bristol, so lots of noise all night. There is no parking and you have to leave the car in a multi story car park about a ten minute walk away. Which cost £36 for my weekend. No facilities for disabled, but does have a small lift. No view except the back of other buildings. I was arriving about 9.00pm and informed reception before hand. I was hot, tired and sticky. The girl manning the desk at night was really miserable handed me my keys and told me that my breakfast wasn’t included and I would have to pay £13 for each meal and left me wondering what the hell was going on. I was too tired to argue and went to my room. It was a small double that overlooked a grubby, dark courtyard. Another building was right in front of me with windows looking straight into mine. No wardrobe as room was too small. Good breakfast with great waiters. Another miserable girl behind the counter, who wouldn’t speak. The day staff were lovely though. All in all, a tiring weekend with very little sleep due to the noise and heat. The two nights cost me £232.20 and no, I didn’t have to pay extra for breakfast. Would I stay again. NO!

The hotel was very smart modern and clean. Our room was small but we had booked a standard room. Price was good compared to other hotels locally. The hotel is right next to the harbour and in the middle of a bustling nightlife. We hadn’t considered this when booking. Although the location was great, the noise from outside could be heard so loudly in our room at night. I actually thought a window was open, but it wasn’t. This went on till the early hours, music, shouting etc, so we found it hard to sleep. The bed was very comfortable though and the room spotlessly clean. Tea/coffee facilities were provided in our room, an iron and hairdryer were also there. The bathroom had a good shower, towels were provided. We didn’t dine but I did purchase a drink from the bar. After paying I was told it would be brought over to me. When it was the bartender informed me my card had declined and asked me to pay again. I did, however when I checked my bank later both payments had been paid out. Not very happy about this. Although a nice looking hotel and great price, due to the noise level at night we wouldn’t stay again. If that wouldn’t bother you the hotel would be a great choice.

Worst YH I have ever stayed in and have stayed in lots. Also quite expensive (£55) for a tiny private room with one working toilet down the corridor. 5th floor room and just a few feet from the very noisy door to the floor. People coming in till past 2pm, talking loudly and the floors creak so badly. Then woken at 5.15 by the door and noisy floor. Window only opens a few inches (H&S) so room stuffy though ironically it wouldn't close to block out the noise of late partying. Smelly pillow. Generally shabby, peeling paint etc etc. Not enough hooks in the shower to hang clothes & towel. Fire door in corridor really hard to open. Good location and staff friendly but all spoilt by noise and lack of sleep. Shabbiness and poor upkeep I can cope with but I do think it should be better.
