The Royal Albion

Broadstairs and St. Peters|1.12km dari Dumpton Gap
My partners brother and sister-in-law were paying us a visit so booked themselves in for a one nights stay with breakfast thinking that the Royal Albion Hotel must be the flagship hotel of Broadstairs. Their comment the next day was “How wrong you can be!”. On arrival, having had a long journey they decided to have a refreshing drink at the bar and were appalled to find only cards were accepted for payment. They said to the lady behind the bar “Where we come from in Suffolk you can pay by cash or card” to which the polite reply was “Well here you can only pay by card!”. They were pleased with their overnight room which was clean and had a very comfortable bed. In the morning they went down for breakfast and having each ordered one fried egg with two rashers of bacon they were served with what was virtually a full English Breakfast swimming on a plate full of oil. They duly removed one fried egg and two rashers of bacon on to a side plate and left the remainder to swim its way back to the kitchen on its oil covered plate. Next came toast and marmalade but the only problem was that ‘marmalade is off, we’ve run out!’. It was immediately pointed out to the manager that there was a Tesco Metro just around the corner and surely one of the staff could be sent there to purchase a couple of jars. The manager took the point but did nothing about it. Needless to say here was a couple who next time they visit us will most definitely not be booking in to this ‘ex-flagship’ hotel.

Great hotel, walking distance to Westwood cross shopping centre. Not too far for a drive to the beach. Restaurant opposite if do not want to go to far to find somewhere to eat.

Have just had a fantastic little break in Broadstairs, this place is lovely a real gem, small and perfectly quirky. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and very helpful, everything asked/enquired about was met with a smile response. The food was amazing and my husband has discovered his love of cocktails. A big thank you to all the staff for making our time in Broadstairs so enjoyable, we will definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

Me & my Partner have Just enjoyed a 2 night stay at the Botany bay hotel. We were looking for a nice picturesque relaxing break by the sea & that's exactly what we had. Staff were very friendly & helpful. We ate there both nights & the food was lovely, breakfast was perfect. The restaurant staff were very friendly & professional in not treating you just like another customer. DJ & Tara both really stood out. The room was lovely, we had a beautiful Seaview. Housekeeper Amanda was very good & very helpful. Can't fault any of it & will almost definitely be returning. Thank you for making our stay just perfect. Recommend 100%.
