Hotel Brussels dengan Spa

I booked it last minutes after my meeting ended very late. I was tired and decided to book nearby hotel. I surprised on the place because it was neat. I didn't try the breakfast. The location and cleanliness is superb. The only thing minus is the gym. Its not the hotel fault but the odor left from people there was not nice. Probably an airfreshner can be provided.

This was a great place to stay, it was close to shopping, to several museums, and many restaurants.

Free shuttle is the key service I'm attracted to. But the shuttle missed 1 timing and we waited for an hour. Pls remember to contact hotel in advance for shuttle. Hotel is good and clean. If without shuttle, need to take train and it's just across the station.

The room size was OK. I was in a Deluxe room on the 2nd floor with balcony and view to the inner courtyard. I had specifically asked for a quiet room on a higher floor (arrival was on a Friday, stayed until Sunday). During both nights there were festivities going on in the hotel (first a bachelor party and the next night the wedding). The noise (music, etc.) in the evening and during the night was unacceptable for such a high standard hotel. Even when the windows were closed, the noise was clearly audible. Around midnight I went to the reception to complain - both nights. I was told that this event would go on until at least 3 a.m. I was offered to move to another room - but I did not accept that, since I expected to be disturbed by the noise in most rooms. I was told that at my check-out a manager would be available to take in person my complaint - which, of course did not happen. On Saturday after lunch I wanted to have coffee/cake with a friend in the hotel restaurant/terrace. It took the waiter almost 20 minutes to come and take our order. When arriving at our table, he just told us that there is a QR code which we need to scan in to see the menu. We did not place an order and left - very disappointing experience! Another issue was that I was travelling alone and was put in a room with connecting doors, which I believe is not suitable for solo travellers, esp. for females. I informed the hotel about all the above and received only very poor replies. The noise situation has to be improved - if a hotel does not have suitable rooms for parties, then don't rent them out when you have paying guests who at least want to sleep at midnight.

I am a marriott titanium member (over 70 nights a year in marriott hotels for nearly seven years now) . This is my first stay at Courtyard (not EU) Brussels. I would like to thank Ali who came to pick me up at the airport. He showed up on time, he was pleasant and curteous and made me instantly forget how stressfull the day had been up to then. Thank you Ali. As for the hotel itself: the check in was smooth, the room clean, the burger in the restaurant just what the doctor ordered, the Triple carmelite cold and reasonably priced. The hotel is conveniently located close to the NATO, EUROCONTROL and the airport and the good people of the hotel will take you to any of these places because the customer comes first. Again, thank you Ali for being such a good ambassador of my favorite brand .

Senior reviewer Lmira1971 wrote a strongly worded review earlier this month. I would not use such strong words but I understand her reactions. Short: good staff, good location and a strong concept. Expectations would though be set right if downgraded to three stars for a short time whilst necessary repairs and maintenance is undertaken. Longer assessment: 1. Cleanliness and state: A hotel room can keep between 3 to 10 years subject to location and who you ask (carpenters like to say 3 to 5 years, hotel owners aim for 7 to 10). This hotel has operated 6 years. Make shift repairs are visible, wear and tear on faucets, beds and other furniture is evident. As part of uplift I would advise to look for quality doors, fodder, walling and window materials. Current is thin and dents are far too easily visible. Housekeeping tooling and checklists should be reviewed to raise cleanliness and reduce bump-tear. 2. Location: Close to central station and tourist amenities is a plus. The neighborhood is though under evolution with several major construction sites. One right out the window. 3. Service: Evening reception smoking at the sidewalk was not four stars. However, this was saved by the diplomatic, respectful and attentive morning staff. Not to mention local hotel management who engaged politely and to everyone's best. 4. Value: Breakfast buffet is average in size and of good quality. I could even notice a waffle iron which is a nice touch. Nearby hotels - e.g. Hygge, Mercure and Marriot - advertise at the same or lower prices this month with less torn facilities (July 2024).

The location is very good, right next to the grand place. However, the rooms are old and need to be updated. The sink in the bathroom and the woodwork had cracks. The corridors were dark and dingy. The lamps or coffee machine have to be disconnected to be able to charge one’s devices. There are no adapters or usb ports. The day we arrived, the bell boy was on holiday, so there was no one to help with the bags. The front office staff, other than the most junior of them, seemed totally disinterested. The room was hot in the night and the aircon panel did not work. When we told the front office staff that the air conditioning didn’t work adequately, they didn’t even acknowledge what we were saying, let alone offer any explanation or apology. The breakfast was fine, but the staff again showed very little interest in even asking if we wanted a cooked breakfast. Wouldn’t recommend.

Stayed for three nights and had a lovely stay, only problem was the lifts weren't working the morning I was due to check out anyway, but besides that this hotel is a hidden gem in the city centre in Place des Martyrs. Rogier station is just a few minutes walk through the shopping centre, for airport bus, train and metro connections. I specifically chose Juliana as this hotel has a swimming pool and wellness facilities, with a mini gym and not many hotels in Brussels have pools. The room I requested was a quiet room on high floor away from lifts, room 306. Very comfortable, but be aware that the large top window brings in a lot of light, you need to ask to get it closed away or it will be very light. It's wonderful to provide Milton Brown toiletries and I enjoyed the Nespresso style coffee and teas provided. Housekeeping were helpful, I lost an earring in the bathroom basin and one of the ladies help recover it, so merci to her for her assistance. Pool, sauna and steam room are great, but be aware that there is no changing area, so go directly down to basement ready changed and wear slippers provided in the bathroom drawers. Staff were very helpful and friendly, I would definitely stay here again if I return to Brussels.
