The hotel is the perfect combination of old world charm with modern conveniences. The breakfast buffet is extensive and delicious with made to order options. The cafe has lovely local wine and a variety of delicious and appealing international offerings. What really sets this hotel apart is the exceptional service staff. From the bellman to the housekeeping staff, every request was met with a smile and total efficiency. And we were remembered and regularly asked if we had everything we needed. To top it off the location is excellent-just short walk from the historic old city and a large beautiful park.

I stayed at Marshal Garden hotel for a 2-day business trip. The overall experience was pretty positive, the room was clean and modern, ambient lighting was pretty nice, bathroom was functional and WiFi performance was very good. I also liked breakfast, the selection of products was pretty decent and taste/freshness were good, too! It's also worth noting that breakfast is served on the 6th floor, allowing for nice panoramic views. The hotel itself is located in a pretty busy area and most landmarks are a few minutes away by taxi. I did choose to walk from the Bucharest North train station to the hotel and it took me roughly 25 minutes. On the downside, I was expecting that partially used shampoo and shower gel would be replenished, but it did not happen. I also noticed that housekeeping left my half empty coffee mug. For a hotel of its category, I would expect housekeeping to do a more meticulous job, but still this did not take anything away from the positive experience. Reception staff was very polite and helpful.

Marriott upper-scale properties, such as their Autograph Collection &/or Tribute Portfolio brands, continue to miss the mark. Weak management seems to plague many of these properties & consistent delivery of Marriott's Bonvoy Program only exists in the minds of HQ Executives. The experience of Bonvoy Members is something quite different in reality, since members NEVER know what to expect until they check in. Just finished 12 nights in 6 different European Marriott brands in 3 countries & only 1 even bothered to acknowledge our lifetime elite membership status. Otherwise, we received the same treatment as a guest staying at a Marriott property for the 1st time. The Marmorosch is indeed a beautiful property -- or at least the exterior & lobby area are. The rooms themselves are more more like Fairfield Inn properties in the US. Basic to the extreme & poor housekeeping was evident throughout the property. Trash that littered the floor on arrival was still there 3 days later, as were the blood droplets on the bathroom floor, & one has to question what type of housekeeping would leave a bed in the condition of the one in the attached photos? Only 1 side of the huge hand-pull drapes worked & could be opened, so we called to ask that someone be sent to fix the other side. A pleasant gentleman promptly appeared to tell us that they could not fix the drapes because a separate company had to be scheduled to do the repair. We subsequently learned from an honest employee that the non-functioning drapes issue has plagued the property since opening & is well known to owner/management. The property was previously a bank so there is a bar in the lower level Vault area, which one would incorrectly assume to be a beautiful & sophisticated location for cocktails. Unfortunately, as you descend the stairs to the lower level the loud & pulsating disco music immediately lets you know that your expectations are incorrect. We looked in the door & decided to not even bother entering & returned to the beautiful Lobby for drinks, but left after 15 minutes when no one arrived at the bar to offer service, & others who were waiting when we arrived were still unserved when we departed. Breakfast was a manic mess since the room where it is served is not capable of meeting guest needs if the hotel is more than 75% occupied. Many of the food items that should be hot are cold & unappetizing. Never saw a breakfast menu on a table in the first 2 days of our stay, & only after asking about cooked-to-order items that were being served around us on the 3rd day, were we given a menu with several options that are, in fact, available for breakfast. Check-in was the biggest fiasco we have ever encountered at ANY Marriott property. A full 50 minutes to check-in with only 2 employees manning the 4-5 positions & the Bonvoy Member sign on the front desk was completely meaningless. This hotel is super nice and a very chic place to stay. Fun to have a drink in the lobby and to have breakfast inside the restaurant. The rooms are very spacious they have like three separate rooms and they have a beautiful balcony overlooking the property. Staff was flawless hotel was very upscale. The only problem I have with this hotel is that the pool is very very small and I like to luxury ate and of huge swimming pool when I am on vacation and the pool here very small maybe only suitable for children or for someone who doesn't like to swim laps. I never took a dip in the pool and I changed hotels because I wanted a spa / swimming pool hot tub amenity for my vacation. If you were not into pools then this is the perfect place to stay. I got this room for $100 a night and that is truly a steal.

The hotel is amazing. The staff were really helpful, Thank you so much Andrea for a warm welcome. Daniel was very helpful and really warm too with great sense of humour, we had 2 days to see best attractions nearby and he made sure we did this by explaining the Map and planning it. Lots of breakfast varieties to choose from. The waiters were very kind, always ready to fill your water and get more coffees. Cleaning ladies were lovely and helpful too, Service is excellent, I needed new pair of slipper because used the first for the health club and they got wet and they gave me another one for free. The hotel is beautiful and has tasteful decor and the rooms are clean well maintained. Totally recommend staying in this hotel. Thank you so much for making our stay special , we definitely felt well looked after
