I will write a detailed review purely because another hotel I wasn’t even staying at saved us on this occasion. I booked for my 30th birthday with my partner to stay here purely because it is supposed to be at five star hotel upon arrival I was asked to sign a waiver form that they told me wasn’t actually accurate information this doesn’t give you much confidence as a customer because you’re signing something that is invalid. Then further to this I was given a complimentary drinks voucher for both of us hold that note. I have made the hotel aware before it was my 30th birthday as I was hoping they would put something special on as we couldn’t travel and arrange anything in time as I was on a previous holiday when booking. When I arrive to the room it was very warm but as the temperature was cold outside it almost felt nice, however I noticed a problem as the thermostat was on zero but didn’t want to cause an issue so waited until the morning of which I actually woke up very unwell with extreme cold as I had to open the door throughout the night to control the temperature of the room I reported this at 8 am at the reception however nothing was done about this there was numerous issues throughout the day with the hotel the lift broke down The spa was extremely small and hygienic very dirty in the sauna things left around the Jacuzzi that was not good for sanitation reasons. it was really cold and unenjoyable there is actually no staff to order drinks and fruit of which I wanted and I had to walk to reception in my swimming costume to find out where the staff was they couldn’t locate the staff member for a long while and when they finally did she came in slumped herself on the chair and went on her phone it was really not a relaxing atmosphere looked very tacky. At this point my friends are really disappointed with what I was experiencing for my 30th birthday -they was staying at hotel number 26 Budapest.** which I couldn’t Recommend enough the hospitality and customer service skills despite their only a four star hotel was unmatched**they put on balloons complimentary drinks and a desire to celebrate my birthday. The cleaners came to change the room as they do and they actually took our complimentary Drinks vouchers from the room -at this point I was just completely done. of which when I raised these issues with the hotel they have stated that I’ve never gone to reception and mentioned anything about the heating when I clearly did they would have me on CCTV and they didn’t even know what I was talking about about a complimentary drinks voucher at that point obviously I didn’t wanna spend any more time in this hotel because I’ve been shown a better Time by a hotel I wasn’t even staying at that was actually one star less. For anyone staying in this hotel please do not pay more than £50 a night this is not a five star hotel this gives more like a 3 star with the spa facilities being very old and rundown The staff have zero experience with hosting an

Un très bel établissement très bien situé pour visiter Budapest, car la localisation est centrale et elle est très bien desservie par les moyens de transports. En effet, vous avez une ligne de métro et une ligne de bus juste en face de l'hôtel. La décoration est très belle et le personnel offre un service de premier ordre. Un seul bémol à notre expérience, notre chambre du 5ème avait 2 fenêtres en très hautes n'offrant aucune possibilité d'avoir une vue sur l'extérieur. General observations - Basic but comfortable hotel well situated near Oktagon. Provided are small towels, hand wash, toilet roll. Hair dryer. Our double was two singles pushed together which is fairly common. Positives - room fridge to keep water cold. Air conditioning. Decent shower. Reasonable breakfast included. Staff speak English. Quiet. Clean. Negatives - no facility to make a cup of tea, just a coffee machine in reception which dispenses tiny cups of poor instant coffee. Room has bedside lamps but nowhere to plug them in. If you’re in the shower and someone uses the water elsewhere (sink, toilet) you can get scalded as the cold water is diverted from the shower. Room safe that we couldn’t operate.

Lovely hotel with large clean rooms. Nice front desk staff. Good location in a quiet area. There's a lot to like about this hotel and I would give a 5 star rating, but we had issues with our specific room that made our stay less enjoyable. The front desk staff is very good and did their best to help us but we were only staying 1 night. We booked our room to stay 1 night in Budapest, after a river cruise, to regroup before continuing on with the rest of our vacation. We specifically booked at Izabella for the in room washer/dryer. The in room w/d is a combo unit, common in Europe. I've used similar units before with no issues. The washer worked well but we could not get the dryer to work. The front desk clerk was also unable to get the dryer to work so he allowed us to use the hotel's dryer in the basement. This all took awhile - We cancelled our dinner plans and ordered take out in order to be able to do some laundry. We were only able to do 2 small loads of laundry during our stay. Note: there is a drying rack in the bathroom; however, we were leaving early the next morning so there wasn't time to hang dry. We also could not get the A/C to work so we opened the balcony doors to cool the room. While the area is quiet, we experienced the usual city noise, and unfortunately, a group of guests, woke us a little after midnight, talking loudly for about 20 minutes. I tried shutting the door but the room got too warm. The other issue we had was very strong food odor coming from an adjoining room. The smell dissipated after about 2 hours with the balcony door open. I believe the issues were specific to our room as our friends in the room next door didn't have trouble with smells or a/c. I feel sure the staff would have tried to resolve the issues if we were there longer. I'm unsure whether to recommend this hotel - It was not a satisfactory stay for us but there was a lot to like about the hotel in the right circumstances.

We had an amazing time at UP hotel Budapest. Staff are polite and professional, our room and the hotel were clean, breakfast were good selections of foods and drinks and dinner at the restaurant were excellent. They don’t have kid’s menu so they provided pasta based on my child’s request. My child really enjoyed eating them.I definitely recommend UP hotel Budapest and would like to go back one day.

Would thoroughly recommend to anyone taking a trip to Budapest. The location of the hotel is great - easy to walk to most places and public transport nearby. The hotel itself is beautiful inside, the room was spotless and spacious with everything you need. The bed was huge and comfortable. The breakfast selection was good, particularly the lovely fresh bread. Lobby bar was pleasant and reasonably priced. Staff all seemed very helpful and polite. All in all we loved staying here and didn't want to leave.

The building has been beautifully restored and we took many pictures of the lobby and reception area. It is conveniently located for any amount of services and good restaurants. The staff were so helpful and we even received an email the day after we left advising us that we had inadvertently left an important document in our room and offered to forward by mail. Fortunately, we were able to call in and pick it up as we were still in the area.

I spent 4 nights at this hotel for my Christmas vacation and everything went great. The receptionists were more than helpful, even providing me with a kettle for coffee or more towels, as soon as I asked. The location was perfect, right next to the Oktogon subway that takes you everywhere. Room was very clean and cute. Not very large, but more than enough. I was out most of the time anyway. Since this is a new and a small hotel, there’s no breakfast at the moment, which didn’t bother me, given that there’s a Starbucks nearby. It’s important to book directly from their website because they offer a discount. I saved 75 €, just by booking from them directly. Big thanks to the 2 female receptionists who made my trip and unforgettable one.
