Hotel Cairns dengan Gim

Just okay :/ The staff was great and very friendly. However, the hotel quality did not match up with the standard we have seen at other Shangri - La Hotels. The paint on our door was badly peeling and the padded benches in our room were stained. Two of the outlets in our room did not have power. We ordered room service the first night and the rice that was sent was hard a a rock and stuck together. The location was great and the potential is there but this hotel is in need of some upkeep and a standards check. For any other hotel this would not be as big of a concern, but for the price and expectation of a Shangri- La Hotel, we were expecting a bit more.

Fantastic stay. Will definitely come back. The hotel offers excellent service and amenities. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. Great location with easy access to attractions. Highly recommend!

Just spent 3 great days here. We have been Accor Members since around 2010 and this is the best Accor room we have stayed in. We had a Premium deluxe king suite with water views on level 6. Room has a balcony, twin sinks, seperate toilet, large bathroom, lots of space, plantation shutters. King bed was very comfortable. Car Parking underneath the hotel was very accessible by lift from lobby and very reasonable rates @ $12 per day. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Room Service Staff and staff in Merchant Breakfast Cafe were excellent, especially Tori and Jamie. Food in Merchant Cafe is very nice, but only cooked options are on the menu. Cereal, Juice & Yoghurt are available if requested. We’d prefer a buffet breakfast, as that allows choice of portions and items. Chilled, complimentary bottle of wine, upon arrival was greatly appreciated. Our Jetstar flight from Sydney was rescheduled and arrived at 10.00am instead of 1.30pm. Upon arrival at The Pullman Reef, the staff prioritised our room to be serviced and we were given access to our room at 11.30am, instead of the normal check in at 2.00pm. Great service !! Thank You

The overall stay was excellent and the rooms were spacious! Location was near to many amenities and places of interest. However, some areas of improvement include (1) the blades of one of the ceiling fans was fixed wrongly causing the air to blow inward instead of outward; (2) washing machine was cranky and noisy after turning on with load; and (3) the WiFi strength was quite poor which caused us to disconnect quite a number of times and video streaming was bad.

Omg staying at this hostel was equally parts traumatic and entertaining. The best way to describe it is imagine if a problematic 60 year old man opened a hostel with a nightclub underneath, and all the social activities were designed with other problematic 60 year old men in mind. They don't seem to do any sort of gender balancing in the mixed dorm, one girl checked into my room in the middle of the night, because she was put in a mixed dorms with only men over 50. The social activities are old fashioned but not in a good way, I'm talking wet t shirt contests, pole dancing competitions, jelly wrestling. But honestly this hostel gave most of the girls staying here the ick so we ended up having movie nights on the girls floor, going to the market and Esplanade together and to the free gym. I actually had a good time, ironically. The facilities at this hostel are really good to be fair, the dorms were clean, they all had air conditioning and balconies (unfortunately you are not able to control the temperature of the air conditioning or turn it off when it is cold outside), they had large well equipped kitchens, a pool and a free gym. Even the nightclub was a good venue, but the social activities are like something out of the Wolf Of Wall Street. If they are going to be a sleazy venue they could at least hire Magic Mike dancers. But honestly they just need to get a new entertainment manager and this place would be fine. Location is alright, about a twenty minute walk to the Esplanade.

A nice place to stay with decent rooms and some nice swimming pools and outside spaces. 15 mins easy stroll to the sea/esplanade and 5 mins from central station. I should mention that ‘garden view’ is an exterior view, the ‘swimming pool view’ is the interior and much nicer.

I had deluxe sea view double room.Very nice view.The best location,the shore broadwalk is just next to the hotel(can see at my balcony).I’ve read reviews saying it’s old,but actually it’s maintained in acceptable manner.Don’t expect luxurious 5stars design,it’s more like resort style hotel.The pool is big,with a small heated pool.Gym is small but sufficient,always empty.The rooms are clean, tidied up daily.Be careful the bathtub only has half glass covered up, no flooding would happen if being careful. Very nice room though. Helpful and nice front desk staff. Very good for value.

Very grand lobby to start with. Nice hotel in a very handy location. We have a good view overlooking the sea, which is great. Just a short walk to the Night Markets. Woolworths is even closer. The Wildlife Doom is just opposite the road. So everything is so handy.

This is definitely a place that is orientated more towards families rather than couples. What was good was the friendly staff throughout the resort, the food and beverage service and the convenient underground parking. Stayed in a deluxe king room on the fifth floor overlooking Cairns city which appears to have been recently upgraded. Room smelt damp on entry and after the first shower it was evident why. It is hard to believe that someone designed the shower so that water flowed directly onto the floor and out into the living area even when you had the least amount of water flow possible. Wee bit of a design flaw I would suggest. Also, when booking a King size bed it would be a good idea to ask guests if they want a second bed in the room along with connecting rooms. I personally have no wish to have connecting rooms unless I am staying as a family. This door along with the front door were not particularly well sealed and you could here plenty of noise from outside and next door. The balcony is marketed as being intimate in yet has one chair and being a connecting room has nothing between you and your neighbours balcony. Hardly intimate. Based on the reviews I am sure this place is perfect for families however, there are better choices for couples elsewhere in Cairns.

Staff were very friendly, location was the best to walk around the city. Actual room facilities are relatively a bit outdated (no usb receptive chargers) but nothing to complain about. Thanks again to the extremely friendly Korean staff member at the front desk.
