The overall stay was excellent and the rooms were spacious! Location was near to many amenities and places of interest. However, some areas of improvement include (1) the blades of one of the ceiling fans was fixed wrongly causing the air to blow inward instead of outward; (2) washing machine was cranky and noisy after turning on with load; and (3) the WiFi strength was quite poor which caused us to disconnect quite a number of times and video streaming was bad.

Customer service and Housekeeping services was absolutely fantastic. Room was very tidy and clean! Highly recommend and most definitely will be returning

Stayed here for 5 nights in a 2 bed apartment as part of a 4 week trip to Australia. There is secure parking, which was great for the hire car. Good location and an easy walk to the City and Esplanade. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially for booking trips. The apartment was perfect for our needs. Yes, the apartment was a little tired, but it was clean, tidy and spacious. If you want ultra modern, you're going to have to pay through the nose for it! The pool area was lovely and we could access it straight from our apartment. Thank you, we had a great time!

I really loved this motel as it was very Quiet during the day and night, even though they were full with guests. The motel was very, very clean, the beds were very comfortable and there was enough room for my two young children to play. The staff at reception were so friendly and helpful in arranging a ground floor unit for me. I have noticed that many hotels in Cairns are not staffed since Covid and it was so wonderful to have friendly staff available at reception and answering phones. Thanks for a wonderful stay. I will be back.

This is definitely a place that is orientated more towards families rather than couples. What was good was the friendly staff throughout the resort, the food and beverage service and the convenient underground parking. Stayed in a deluxe king room on the fifth floor overlooking Cairns city which appears to have been recently upgraded. Room smelt damp on entry and after the first shower it was evident why. It is hard to believe that someone designed the shower so that water flowed directly onto the floor and out into the living area even when you had the least amount of water flow possible. Wee bit of a design flaw I would suggest. Also, when booking a King size bed it would be a good idea to ask guests if they want a second bed in the room along with connecting rooms. I personally have no wish to have connecting rooms unless I am staying as a family. This door along with the front door were not particularly well sealed and you could here plenty of noise from outside and next door. The balcony is marketed as being intimate in yet has one chair and being a connecting room has nothing between you and your neighbours balcony. Hardly intimate. Based on the reviews I am sure this place is perfect for families however, there are better choices for couples elsewhere in Cairns.

We have spent 4 nights in this Double Tree Hotel and checking out today. In general hotel is very basic not meeting my expectations- - breakfast is so basic and boring, not much variety - room is standard - have requested for wake up call the hotel receptionist was forgot - lucky we are not late for early flight - reception also forgot to book the Taxi Location is good Will not recommend for my families and friends.

The Abbott Cairns is a boutique hotel is one of the best hotels we have stayed in these are the reasons why.central to all in Cairns 10 minute stroll to cruise terminal.5 minute stroll to Esplanade. Excellent hotel rooms friendly staff go that extra mile to make your stay that little bit more special.Paul greeted us on arrival and the next morning even offered to drive us down to cruise terminal which we gladly accept .We are now back after our cruise and we're greeted by Peter our room is beautiful.if you are looking for a secure clean comfortable place to stay The Abbott Cairns is the place. we have travel a lot stayed in many hotels this one is excellent

This hotel is rated as a 4 star, but honestly, I think that is mainly due to its location. It is perfectly situated on the esplanade and so walkable to everywhere. But in terms of hotel service etc….its’ only so so. Check in was a tedious process….I had to become a member of the travel club in order to have wifi, which I think is a bit much. It’s free, but annoying to have to fill out more forms and give info for a service that is pretty standard at most hotels.. We stayed 5 nights. No housekeeping. I get wanting to be eco friendly….but really, after 3 nights at least, a visit to the room to replenish towels would be appreciated. When I did go down to the desk to get towels they were out and I was told to come back when the laundry service arrived later in the day. So odd. The smell of the room was also a bit wearing. Musty and mildewy. I don’t know if it was just this room, or the whole hotel, but it could use a bit of an update. The wear and tear is showing. The little sitting couch was super uncomfortable….too many bodies have worn that seat down and it feels like you are sinking into a pit. The bed however was good. I had relatively good sleeps if I left the window open to diffuse the moldy smell.

My partner and I stayed at sunshine tower for 5 nights and it was an enjoyable stay. I want to start by saying the girls on reception were all very friendly and welcoming, they were happy to have a chat anytime and also recommended places to visit and see. Shout out to Phoebe she was lovely! The property is a little be further out of the main ***** but only a 10-15 minute walk or you can jump on one of the Beam scooters that are outside. The outside of the property is tired looking and could do with an update but the rooms are renovated and lovely. Tiled floors, updated furniture and great sizes. The kitchenette was lovely to have even though we didn’t really use it. There is no oven or stove up so keep this in mind when booking. The bathroom was a tad small but worked and the shower was great! We were in room 702 which had a lovely view towards the beach but note that this level also houses the electrical stuff so it is a little loud when you are trying to sleep. The tv was a smart tv but could never connect to the wifi so I would recommend them to update to have modems on each level. The outdoor pool and sauna were okay, only used it once and unfortunately the texture of the spa and pool was very rough on the skin so couldn’t stay in there long. BBQs are available for use but we didn’t use these. No housekeeping (I knew about this before booking) however the girls at reception were more than happy to provide more toilet paper/towels/tea/coffee etc with no extra cost. Overall it’s a great property and worth the visit for stays under a week!

We recently spent two nights at the Pacific Hotel Cairns and found it to be good value, well located and clean. The room was modern and the beds really comfortable. The only downside was the view onto the parking lot but we didn't book to enjoy the view from the room so that was fine. Also have a nice buffet breakfast at a reasonable price. We look forward to going back again soon.
