Naturally Pacific Resort

My wife and I spent 3 nights this past August at this amazing resort. When we left Chemainus, we weren't sure what to expect. Upon our arrival, the check in was quick and accurate, the staff were welcoming and the interior of the lobby, elevators, hallways and room were beyond what we expected. The entire resort from the restaurant to the driving range to the golf club and club house were all beyond expectation. Don't get me started on the amazing golf course. One of the most manicured courses we have played and we have been fortunate to play all across North America. It is shortish but the rough, narrow fairways and flawless greens make up for its lack of length. We can't wait to back next summer for an entire week.

First, it was exciting to see the improvements to the property from 3 years ago. The front desk staff, upon arrival were warm and welcoming. We were told about the property and the amenities available. We golfed 3 times on the course during our stay and had a great experience. The staff were most accommodating. Lonnie was the first person we interacted with and what a welcoming personality. My sister and I decided to try the spa. First, SueAnn and Brandy give fantastic facials which still feel good several days later. The facility is stunning and the staff is wonderful and helpful. As a result of this experience, my husband and I returned for 90 min massages. Wes worked on my husband, who spoke highly of him after a great relaxing experience from 3 days of golf. SueAnn also gives a massage that is perfect. She makes you feel so comfortable and listens to what you would like. If you are ever here you will enjoy a facial or a massage from SueAnn and I will return at some point. We can't speak highly enough of the staff on this premise and this also applies to the restaurant CARVE and lighter fare venue VELOCITY. What wonderful serving staff, all with smiles and can't do enough for you. The ones we had the most contact with were Solemen and Suarabh. Thank you for everything you did for us. We also appreciate the wine list which is extensive and offers lots of options from BC to Italian to French.. We loved that! The meat was cooked perfectly and the salmon was one of the best I've had in a restaurant. One small personal preference would be less salt but this did not detract from the dishes we had and we did eat there 3 times. All in all a gem on Vancouver Island and we are sure it will be discovered. Thank you for relaxing the dress code. For locals, golfers and visitors this is a perfect place to golf and enjoy a nice dinner afterwards whether having a hamburger and casual fare or a more substantial dinner in CARVE. Really nice rooms, very modern and stylish. Restaurant food was delicious and breakfast too, highly recommend the avocado toast which was beautifully presented. We also tested their customer service to the hilt by leaving our passports in the safe when we moved onto our next hotel and Jaime the front desk manager was extremely helpful, sourcing a courier and going down to the office in person to ensure we received them by next day delivery! Can’t thank him enough, to return to collect them would have involved a seven hour round trip by road.

It is an absolutely beautiful property, all of the amenities are perfect. We didn't go to golf but I can se why people do. I do like a complimentary breaky of some type, even just a coffee and a muffin. They don't offer anything like that. It is to me quite pricey in the restaurant but I didn't think it was out of line for the type of resort it's wanting to be. All in all a really nice place.

This resort is amazing!! So shocking to find in Campbell river! The golf course is so beautiful and well maintained! The rooms were luxurious, nice beds and comfy pillows. The restaurant carve was probably the best I’ve had on the island! The service was fantastic at all the amenities!! Can’t wait to go back again!

I have three or four messages in advance of our stay at the hotel about finding out the wine list at the restaurant. No one has called me back yet, not a good start trying to make sure we have some nice wine for my wife’s birthday celebration. makes me nervous when no one gets back for a few days.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. It is well laid out and extremely clean. The pool and hot tub area is beautiful and there is a lot of outdoor seating with fire pits. The staff is over the top attentive and helpful. We had one small issue with our room at check in and it was handled promptly and professionally. Would definitely return!

We stayed a couple of nights and had a great experience. Staff were professional, rooms well appointed, and surroundings very nice. Our room was on the water side which we thought would be nice as we were there to see the coast. However, the view on the golf course side was beautiful. Plus it was much quieter and serene.

We arrived at 6:00 - 2 hours after check-in and our room wasn’t ready. We were offered a free drink in the lounge and told they didn’t know when it would be ready. We completed the regular check-in and decided to go check-out Campbell River. They said they would call when the room was ready. As I was leaving the hotel they charged the credit card $600 for incidentals for a room we didn’t have and that they didn’t know when we would have it. It really added insult to injury.At 8:00 we decided to return even though we did not get a call. They said they were just going to call us. They also told us we could have the free drink if we had it in the lounge but not at the casual dining venue at the hotel. I told the front desk staff that I would love to talk to the manager but never heard from him/her. So we got to our room 4 hours after check-in with basically no compensation. The room was spacious and clean. We had a balcony with ocean view but the ocean is very far away - no viewing wildlife from here. There is a construction site across the street and a lot of traffic noise if you are on the balcony. The building and property are very nice. There is an Arizona golf club feel. There is a small pool and hot tub. They were always crowded in the evening. There is a seating area with fire pits and a few outdoor games. The staff never greets you when you enter. They always are deep in work. When we went to check out, after never being contacted by the manager or being compensated for 4 hours of lost vacation time at the hotel, the front desk staff politely informed me that if housekeeping found anything missing from the fridge it would be deducted from the $600 incidental hold. Really? How much would they have charged me if I just neglected to check out at 11:00 and checked out with no notice 4 hours late? We travel a lot. A five star hotel is not just a pretty building. It is a friendly accommodating staff, attention to detail and an awareness of guest’s needs. This is far from that. This was a frustrating, oversell of a new property.
