Hmm, promises a lot, but actually not so good. On the surface it is well priced, a short distance from the waterfront, partly refurbished., offers a gym and so on. In reality it is not what it seems, and nothing specifically memorable. Yes it is near the Waterfront - by 10 mt. taxi. I would not do the walk at night, and if alone not sure if I would at daytime either. Yes the hotel is refurbished - that is until you look at my room : broken bathroom tiles, sealant not sealing, loose taps, window blinds broken, towels all falling to pieces at the edge.... rooms are however well sized, breakfast quite reasonable and staff are friendly. But personally I would not bother again,..,...

We had a wonderful stay here. We arrived early and exhausted after 24 hours of travel and the manager Emma was so kind to us, finding us a room available to check in early and went above and beyond to fix an error on the booking (that I had made). We were given a high floor room so there really was no noise from the city. Great breakfasts, great pizza in the restaurant. Free transport to V&A waterfront which we used once. Short walking distance to the conference centre, or a $3 uber. I'd stay here again!

The location is a bit off from the v&a waterfront and city centre. You need to Uber out everytime. Another then this , everything is Awesome from the staff to the room service food to even the room very good.

This is a very nice (new) hotel close to the downtown and Waterfront area. A twenty minute walk to either location (not an easy walk) - they do have canal water taxi service available to take you to the waterfront. Definitely worth the experience. The breakfast service is delightful but can get crowded at times due to their catering of large tour groups. Rooms are nice, AC unit works very well, showers hot, tv selection extensive, and service awesome. Recommend for those looking for a very nice hotel at a reasonable rate. One downfall to the hotel / location is that is bucks up to the container / shipping area so when vessels come in you will hear a lot of container unloading noise at night. Ask for an ”even” numbered room so you are on the opposite side and you get a view of Table Mountain

We stayed 5 night in a villa on the island. I certainly recommend the villas. Attentive, helpful, polite staff; high quality amenities - including high powerful hairdryer, candle, bath salts, shampoo, conditioner, pillow spray, robe, slippers, etc. Perfect structure of the room, spacious, beautifully decorated, every item working and silent; every night, one kind message or a special gift from the housekeeping staff . All these things help us relax and enjoy every moment. Delicious and complete breakfast. Good options of restaurants inside the hotel. Walking distance to the Waterfront shops and malls. The right place to be in Cape Town. Surely I will stay again and again. It definitely helped define the wonderful impression we had from Cape Town!

I stayed two days at this hotel which was arranged as part of my National Geographic tour of Southern Africa. The hotel is conveniently located near the waterfront, within walking distance of a number of restaurants and attractions. The rooms were clean and comfortable with all amenities. The bar and restaurant are both very nice and the food and drink was very good. The staff was excellent throughout my stay. I had an issue with one of my bags arriving late. The hotel staff worked directly with the airport to ensure that it was returned to me as soon as possible. I enjoyed the PortsWood and would recommend a stay for anyone visiting Cape Town.

Upgraded to a Loft suite. Excellent (once the air conditioner unit was explained). Staff great. Housekeeping a bit too eager. On site restaurant Liberty's seems slow and disorganized, even for South Africa and especially for a Hilton's. Free shuttle to V&A Waterfront every two hours. Walking distance to the Old Biscuit Mill (a Saturday morning must-do). Regular and reliable taxi service around Cape Town at reasonable rates, for drop off and pickup. Airport shuttle. Neighborhood was very safe Don't pre-book tours before you get here; Yasir and his team will take good care of you.

Мы были в холодный весенний ветренный период (хотя порывистые ветра, скорее всего, весьма частая вещь в этом регионе) и не спали от ощущения ужаса и страха из-за жутко стучащих от ветра ставней.
Фильм ужасов, не иначе. Необходимо заменить двери балконов, особенно учитывая, что это огромные панорамные двери на более современные. Холод и стук очень помешал хорошо выспаться и испортил впечатление. Так же, из-за них сквозняк и холод.
Не работало отопление: пришлось включить кондиционер на тепло.
Уборка нормальная. Номер уставший, мебель с пятнами и где-то покрашена сверху краской, но это было приемлемо.

YYa ChuLocation was a bit walking distance from waterfront. And the roads were under construction, it was not easy to access Uber or cabs. It was also the convention time, the hotel was packed. Breakfast hours were very noisy and food was soso. It would be a great location for business travelers to the convention centers. Staff were all very friendly and quick checking in and out. But besides the hotel, there was nothing nearby to do at night.

SSaraGreat location for the airport and the free shuttle is perfect. The hotel is very comfortable and has everything for a great overnight stay. My only gripe is the staff all.standing around in groups chatting loudly at breakfast and having to wait 20 minutes for change in the restaurant in the evening.

JJulian PeensThis bed and breakfast is in the ideal location to visit Simon’s town and its coastline however the actual set up of the bed and breakfast is a huge let down.
We arrived to find our room was not ready, once it was the place still looked unkempt, there was a bucket in the bath, the furniture had not been returned to its original locations well and the complimentary items seemed used.
On our second night there was load shedding a common occurrence however there seemed to be no precautionary measures taken and we had to use our phone lights to climb the three flights of stairs to our room only to find the rechargeable light (obviously for such occasions) had no batteries and was therefore useless. As South African citizens we fully understand the uncertainty of power but for the cost and normal clientele of this accommodation we really expected there to be more in place.
The meal times had been adjusted for the convenience of the staff who were on the premises compared to the welcome sheet details we received on arrival. The whole place seemed to be being run by support staff with no obvious manager on site for the three days we were there (we stayed over a weekend which I would assume to be a prime time)
There is about 4 parking sports in front of the building but they were not being used to their full potential and often we had to park a little further away.
Overall the location was the main positive. Considering the price we would have hoped to have better amenities and hope that the profile for this accommodation can be amended as there are no pools on the property unlike what the description had lead us to believe.
Luckily the charm of Simon’s town and the beaches made up for the serious lack of attention to detail and luxury you would assume a place this price and in this location would have.
3/10 would probably not go there again.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights at the start of our Garden Route/Safari holiday. We were received well by the reception staff and shown to our rooms, which were large and adequately furnished. We were on the 16th floor and had a great view of table mountain albeit through dirty windows! Breakfast was very nice and the one dinner we had at Copa restaurant was also good, however it was a little slow in coming despite the restaurant being quiet. We ate out the other 2 nights at local restaurants on Long Street. A member of the hotel staff accompanied us to these restaurants, which was a nice touch but not really necessary as we never felt threatened. The hotel is in the central business district and security is very tight in this area, however I don’t think I’d want to venture much further at night. We booked the Cape Point private guided tour prior to arriving, through the hotel website. Sammy, our guide for the day was absolutely fantastic. What he doesn’t know about the Cape isn’t worth knowing! Whilst he didn’t come up for air, we absorbed every fact he told us and despite a cost of £250 it was fantastic value for money. The hotel is ideally located for all the City sites and is just around the corner from the Big Red bus booking office on Long Street. All in all an enjoyable stay and great start to our South Africa adventure.

PPengguna TetamuGreat location and very clean. Only downside is that you either need to have a personal or rented car, or an uber to get from the airport to the hotel and vice versa. There is no safe or convenient way to walk to the hotel from the airport like majority of well known airports.

PPengguna TetamuI stayed at Urban Hive for a month, and it felt like a home away from home. The staff is super friendly, nice and accommodating, and ensures everything to make the guests comfortable. It’s centrally located on Long Street, in a beautiful heritage building, and has many hangout places like bar, balcony, lounge. Close to many touristic places and especially to explore the nightlife of Cape Town. The rooms, bathrooms, kitchen are all well maintained and super clean. All in all a perfect experience and will definitely stay there whenever I visit again.

This establishment cannot be recommended. It is overpriced and, in my experience, demonstrates customer service that is far below acceptable standards, reflecting a clear lack of competent leadership. While the rooms are adequate, they are overpriced for long-term stays, and the location, while decent, is nothing exceptional. The administration's handling of my deposit refund was appallingly poor. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the matter, it took them four months to return the deposit, during which I encountered repeated incompetence, unresponsiveness to emails, and even dishonesty. It was only after countless follow-ups and multiple in-person visits to the hotel that the issue was resolved. If you value professional and reliable customer service, I strongly advise against staying here.

FFGTRTDThe location is good. Not too far from a Woolworths grocery store and a coffee shop. The coffee shop opens really early which is essential when loadshedding hits and you can't make coffee in the hotel. The coffee was inconsistently replenished so again, being near a Bootleggers coffee was necessary. The hotel doesn't have a generator so when there is load shedding, you will be affected. If you are going to arrive early, you won't be able to check in early as there was no one who could help us at the front desk until 3pm which is standard check in time. We ended up having lunch in the restaurant so we weren't too inconvenienced but if your flight is much earlier in the day, do be aware of this. Otherwise, not a bad stay and I would consider staying again.

PPengguna TetamuHaving travelled extensively and stayed in numerous hotels worldwide, I can confidently state that my recent experience was the worst ever. Despite seeing several negative reviews about their service, I thought they were just occasional lapses. However, I soon discovered that the hotel had a persistent service problem. I had a problem with my reservation and spent two days trying to resolve it, but no one cared. To make matters worse, I was charged ten times the amount I had originally paid for the same room (i.e., $300 instead of $30) without any reasonable explanation. When I questioned this, the staff merely shrugged it off, citing fluctuating prices as the reason. The lady in charge of reservations was extremely rude and disrespectful throughout the ordeal. In addition to the issues with my reservation and the exorbitant charges, the air conditioner was not working properly and made a lot of noise. Furthermore, the fridge in my room made a huge noise, which disturbed my sleep at 2 am (I recorded a video as proof). Moreover, the noise levels in the dormitory were unacceptable all the night! making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. In short, I urge anyone considering staying at this hotel to think twice and look for other options.
