Nice modern apartment building but not well maintained! The (Jewish, any school) school next door doesn't help either. Okay, for short stays, but not for longer. The Glen Retreat across the street is an old fabulous Hotel, great for sundowners and snacks. The downside is that they have a noisy power generator during power shedding. So, peace is not happening there in the Glen. Also, the giant door to the garages is noisy, but noting a bit of WD40 and some grease could fix..

Booked upon recommendation from Trailfinders. Check in at neighbouring Crystal is a bit painful after a long flight. Apartment was 2 bed and very high spec with a small balcony with sea views. Nice to have security at the gate and on site maintenance turned the fridge on for us. Main problem was lack of provision for the load shedding (power cuts). Just battery lamps. Other similar apartments now have solar panels and inverters or generators. Here, nothing. So 8-10pm first night, total black out, no lights, no heating. 8-10.30am first morning no heating, no hair dryer, no kettle. Sadly load shedding has been in place for years in SA and an apartment block of this high spec should have provision - the hotel opposite still even had floodlit tennis during the blackouts!

We stayed in apartment C26 which has three balconies, and ocean views. You can hear the ocean at night, and for visiting Cape Town, Camps Bay is a great place to stay just out of the city centre, but easy to access everywhere you need. The apartment is very well equipped, spacious, comfortable and pristine. There's a mezzanine with King size bed and ensuite, and two further ensuite bedrooms - king size and twin. We found the manager very helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. We're really glad we stayed here, and would choose to return to this apartment in the future.

There are clearly many issues as to how this property is being managed. The Crystal Apartments where we were instructed to pick up the keys are not in control of the situation and whilst they did try to be helpful it is apparent they had problems with the management of the Glen Apartments. Issues encountered. Security, back patio door not locking. Microwave not working. Shortage of towels. Only one set of keys between 2 couples. Bracket on main support to front windows broken causing them to sway alarmingly in the strong winds. Door latch on fridge broken. No lighting provision for load shedding when the power is off. A frequent occurrence. We will be seeking some compensation for the amount of time we wasted during our holiday trying to get these issues resolved.

The apartment is very nice, spacious, comfortable and modern but what would have deserved a rating of five is detracted by the lack of electricity in the apartment about 8 hours a day average, something that we were NEVER warned. The management's response is that in Cape Town the electricity is cut off about 2 hours a day but in our case it was an average of 8 hours a day. The lack of electricity makes it difficult to sleep because you cannot turn on the air conditioner or open windows due to the presence of many mosquitoes. For a person who suffers from sleep apnea and uses electrical equipment, such an apartment is a problem. We regret not having been able to give a better rating but objectively there was a lack of electrical service and communication with the management. Naturally we expect compensation from the administration (reduction or partial refund of the fee paid) and are awaiting a response.

Worst experience of my life. Bed had love stains on it. Pillows were filthy. Blinds not functioning. TV remote batteries flat. Overall cleanliness poor. Immediately left property to seek other accommodation.

Great 3 bedroom apartment booked through Trailfinders. Upgraded in arrival from 2 to 3 bed. Dual aspect balconies. Well equipped. Light, modern and very secure. Underground parking. Check in is at Crystal where Alistair was v helpful following our early morning landing in SA. Cleaner comes every day and apartment is spotless. 10 minute walk to Camps Bat beach/restaurants. Also 10 minutes to our favourite beach Number 4 Clifton. Pick n pay Supermarket and Woolworths food (like M and S food) is at the other end of Camps Bay so another 10 minutes walk along front. Would recommend.

We loved staying at this beautiful apartment which is situated a short walk away from the camps bay promenade, where there are lots of lovely restaurants and the beach. We would return in a heartbeat.
