Peak Edge Hotel

Absolutely fell in love with this hotel over our three night stay. It’s the wonderful food the fab wine selection and the attentive very well trained staff that make the place. The young people serving on the mornings of 1st and 2nd August are to be commended. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Ideal for large parties dining together or couples or a family. Would recommend (and I’m picky!)

We got married at Peak Edge at the end of June 2024 and right from the first moment that we met with Laura to discuss options we knew it was going to be brilliant!! The entire team at Peak Edge are fantastic! Attention to detail, friendly, approachable, organised and nothing is too much trouble. Laura was always available to answer questions or ease concerns throughout the planning process and leading up to the day. On our wedding day she was on hand to make sure it all went without any issues! Tim, was also incredible and made sure that all of our guests were looked after with food and drinks. Josh - also fantastic! Thank you!! On occasions when we contacted Peak Edge on Laura's allocated days off work, another member of the weddings team always responded and tried their best to help but most of all kept us informed. The communication was brilliant. We have a number of dietary allergies to cater for within our group, this was done fantastically well. We felt confident and assured that the guests were receiving food that was safe for them without any feeling of being singled out or made to feel different! Seamless and professional - thank you. The surroundings are beautiful, the venue and accommodation are excellent. Food absolutely lovely and all of the staff welcoming and professional. There really is nothing negative to say! Can we do it again?!?!

A gorgeous hotel surrounded by beautiful scenery, this hotel combines classic and modern design so well. My superior twin room was excellent, the king size bed very comfortable, and the bathroom outstanding. The adjoining Red Lion restaurant serves high quality meals, and the staff at both premises were friendly and helpful.

Fantastic hotel. Beautiful country feel with gorgeous open fires and a really relaxing atmosphere. Rooms are spacious and well decorated to match the character of the hotel. Extra touches such as fresh milk in the fridge and a coffee machine make it even nicer. Food was outstanding both for evening meal and breakfast. Highly recommend.

This was a daughter & mum break and we were both very impressed with this stylishly designed, comfortable hotel and impressive restaurant. The hotel has lovely views and it is in a super location (even the torrential rain didn’t spoil anything). Our twin bedroom was spotlessly clean, decorated tastefully and a good size. We dined both evenings in its Red Lion restaurant (in addition to breakfasting here too). We settled in to comfy armchairs in front of one of the many lit fires, where pre dinner drinks were served to us. We chose Champagne (it was perfectly chilled) from the extensive wine list. Our only suggestion would be that guests are offered a small dish of complimentary nuts or similar to accompany the drinks. The restaurant menu offers appealing choices using local fresh and seasonal ingredients. Meals are not only beautifully presented but they are delicious too. A special mention must go to the superb staff. Both hotel and restaurant staff are attentive, polite, professional and friendly. Thank you to all the staff for making this an enjoyable stay. I would certainly recommend Peak Edge Hotel and its Red Lion restaurant without hesitation.

As I had booked an event here, I stayed at the hotel and booked three suites for friends and family. On arrival, the rooms had the air conditioning on full, so it was freezing. The shower was lukewarm too, so it wasn't a pleasant experience. Not sure why the air conditioning was on at the end of September! The room décor was lovely and they were clean although the towels could have been whiter. Staff tipped over the border of professional to robotic although some were helpful and friendly. The bar areas were pretty cold too, I was pleased to get home.

Family wedding, great venue, beautiful gardens and views. Food was beautiful and breakfast great choices.

Staff always pleasant. Food excellent and beautifully presented. Very comfortable rooms and a really good shower!

. . . we didn't stay in the hotel, but plan to. We have enjoyed returning for dinner having just moved into the area, and this will be one of our favoured eateries as the food, service and surroundings are exceptional. Beautiful interior design, welcoming, energetic staff and outstanding menu and wines. What a treat and highly recommended.
